Utapau

It wasn't the first time Fletcher was visiting Utapau, though it was still an unusual place to be. He knew he had to be cautious, especially on an unfamiliar planet such as this one. You couldn't trust anyone, you never knew who could be watching, waiting in the shadows. These were certainly dangerous times as well, the Sith, though still underlying, were growing in numbers.

The Padawan wandered alone, he was meeting others at a place a few miles away and it wouldn't take long to get to on foot. He wore standard attire matched with a brown robe and a lightsaber visible at his hip. He rarely wore anything else, he was proud of being a Jedi which also made him arrogant in his skills and abilities.

Ditching his armor, Snow stood there. He was wearing simple robes and a simpler cloak. Black Glove and Brown Glove still on, however. His Crimson blade held at his side, he was ready for a fight. He had tracked the stupid Jedi half way across the galaxy, and he stood there, watching the Jedi slowly walk around. Of course, he probably would of left the Jedi well alone, but he wanted the lightsaber. He wanted to add more weapons to his collection. Was that bad?

He crouched on a small platform just above the Jedi, waiting, abiding his time. He wanted this to be a perfect attack, a perfect fight and a perfect kill. No witnesses would survive, and to let casualties stay low, he'd have to do it out of the way. Actually, that was coming from a guy who shot a wookie for a bounty hunter then killed a kid to evade the same hunter.

Yeah...

Fletcher stopped for a moment, trying to call on the force to "see" anyone nearby, though he gave up after deciding he was far too unfocused for that. He had his mind on other things, such as his brother. He wasn't a stranger to killing people, but the people he had killed had been for justice, he wasn't so sure his brother's death was justice, rather than his own fear. The lightsaber he currently possessed was the one he had stuck through his brother's chest.

His attention turned to his lightsaber as he took it from his belt and held the hilt in his hand, staring at it. It was so wrong, yet so right. He shook the thoughts away and looked up. It shouldn't be getting dark any time soon.

It was a nice blade in the hand of the Jedi. One Jardo wanted anyway. He smiled, purple hair blowing in the light wind. Looking down he smiled, no-one was around in the area. The Jedi was all alone, apart from Jardo anyway. He smiled, slowly jumping down behind the Jedi. He stopped for a moment, looking around. They were in the same room where Obi-Wan fought General whatever his name was.

Then he spoke....

"Hello there, my friend"

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Fletcher whipped around and held the blade across himself defensively almost as an instinct. He couldn't recognise who it was by the voice, but as soon as he turned around, he knew it could only be an enemy, a Sith at that. The Padawan backed away from the Acolyte but didn't take his eyes from him.

"I am not your friend." he said plainly, a scowl forming on his face.

[member="Jardo Snow"]

Jardo chuckled, leaving his lightsabre at his side. "Not my friend? Then you are my enemy. Actually, you were go.... never mind!" he shouted, cutting himself off. That was an issue, he tended to go off on a rant every so often. "Just hand over the lightsabre and i'll let you go" Jardo told the Jedi slowly.

Hidden guns for the win. Jardo had strapped his pistol into an ankle holster currently hidden by the plain robes covering it. He knew it was there, and he knew he probably wouldn't use it. It just felt safer knowing it was there, a lot more safe. He chuckled, staring at the Jedi who was currently backing off.

"3"....

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

"What kind of idiot would willingly give up their lightsaber?" he asked rhetorically. Besides, he was far too confident in his own abilities to think that he would lose. "Let me go? I'm not your prisoner, I can do as I please." he glared at the Sith and kept his ground. It was stated that they weren't supposed to start fights and that they should be avoided at all costs... Fletcher wanted to abide by it, but his arrogance led him to other reasoning.

The padawan ignited the blade and spun it in his hand threateningly. It wasn't supposed to scare the Sith, more show him that he wasn't afraid of a fight.

[member="Jardo Snow"]

Man this Jedi was annoying. He couldn't just give up his blade could he. He had to make Jardo duel him, actually that was a good thing. Jardo wasn't a bad duelist so. He smiled, removing his hood, staring at the young Jedi. His purple hair blew in the wind, and Jardo raised his hand, shoving the kid back with a force push.

Jardo unclipped his blade and stood, looking at the kid. His push wasn't much good and it only stunned the young Jedi slightly. Taking up the Djem So Krayt's Claw hold, Jardo got ready to fight. However, he left his cloak on. Why, no-one would know. No-one but Jardo would know.

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Fletcher kept on his feet but was still a bit shocked by the sudden push. He shed his robes, knowing that a fight was about to take place. Without even thinking about it, he had already prepared to make the first move and advanced on the Sith, bringing his blue blade down towards his opponent's shoulder forcefully. A reckless move, but one that could be proven quite useful when effective.

The Padawan bit his tongue, holding back the taunts he had used to use so commonly. But recently he had been scolded for taunting his opponent and was forced to hold back his words.

[member="Jardo Snow"]

Jardo easily brought his crimson blade up, blocking the blue blade. He was taunting the young Jedi, trying to force the Jedi to tip, to let his anger out. While taunting though, he was building up his own plan. He still had Ataru, the form he didn't exactly know well but had a natural connection to.

Jardo watched as the young Jedi attacked again, and Jardo blocked again. If this fight carried on like this, it'd be over within moments. All Jardo'd need to do is attack with the Falling Avalanche. Stepping forward Jardo swung his blade across his body, a natural Djem So move, especially from the Krayt's Claw position.

Watching the young Jedi "dance" was sort of entertaining. Swinging again Jardo aimed low, aiming for the legs. He hoped the young Jedi would jump over the blade, cause like he thought before. This was entertaining.

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Fletcher blocked the attacks with precision, he had always been good at using a lightsaber, though of course no one was perfect at everything, he still had weaknesses, his emotions being one of them. He was becoming frustrated, he had places to be and this Sith was in the way of them, and with the form of combat being used, it was hard not to get aggressive, especially when dealing with someone who was a sworn enemy of the people you had dedicated your life to.

The Padawan jumped over the blade and swung his own lightsaber down towards the opponent's then at the hilt in a quick attempt to disarm, then he couldn't say he didn't try and disarm before killing when he faced the Jedi on whatever the outcome. He then sliced the blade sideways quickly towards the Sith's hip, if the opponent didn't move quickly, he would most likely find himself with a very nasty burn on his side.

[member="Jardo Snow"]

Force Jump, the most useful force of them all. He used the jump to jump over the blade swinging towards his side, and as he flew up he grabbed a lose scrap of metal from above, holding onto it for a few seconds, landing behind the Jedi in a roll. In turn he span, letting his cloak slide away from him as his blade connected with the blue in a saber lock.

Ataru was the naturally gifted form. He didn't exactly need to train it... he just sort of had it. To be honest, it was showing. Fighting out of the saber lock Jardo brought his boot up, kicking the young Jedi in the chin. The wind was picking up, the tips of Jardo's black tunic were flapping in the wind.

The wind. The wind would make this fight harder as the tunics would be flying everywhere. If it was a light wind it'd be fine, but it wasn't light. Pulling his brown glove off Jardo walked forward, swinging his blade in a falling avalanche towards the young Jedi, who blocked the shot.

This fight was getting harder by the minute. With the wind and the damn heat from the sabers it was slowly killing Jardo. He was sweating, though he wasn't quite sure how. Fighting out of the second saber lock Jardo backed towards the edge, the young Jedi still coming at him.

This was the same edge Obi-Wan first lost his lightsaber to have it caught by Cody. He'd read the stories, he knew these things. Growling, he swung his blade across his body, leaving almost no-where to be attacked from. This fight was getting quicker, and Jardo was right on the edge. If he died....

Ouch.

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Fletcher wasn't exactly exhausted from the fight, but it was physically challenging to keep up such a stamina for so long. When their blades locked, he pushed his weight into the blade and towards the opponent but was met with a kick in the chin. He stumbled backwards, shocked from the kick, rather than from the pain. It would probably bruise but that was the least of his worries.

Trying to ignore the wind, he advanced once more and set in for another attack. A powerful attack, clearly fuelled by frustration, easily misjudged and could make things a lot worse for himself it it was misguided. He aimed for his opponent's arm but as they approached an edge, he stopped pressing attacks and held his lightsaber down.

Good posting. I may be able to fit one more in before I head to bed

"Scared are you!" Jardo shouted towards the young Jedi. Jardo almost couldn't believe the Jedi was backing down from the fight. Jardo kept his blade at his side, letting the wind blow his hair across his face. "Why won't you kill me!" Jardo screamed again, trying to get into the head of the Jedi.

Then he struck. Walking forward Jardo brought his blade down in the falling avalanche, putting every last ounce of anger and hate behind it. The Jedi blocked, but only just. They were caught in a saber lock in which none of them had a decent foot hold. Jardo forced everything forward, shoving the young Jedi back. He then jumped backwards, landing on a small maintenance platform that had been lowering from up above.

Shoving the original maintenance man out of the thing Jardo stared at the Jedi, eyes locked dead on him. "You can't win this fight!" he shouted, attempting to taunt him, goad him into making a mistake. "The Republic will fall, and it'll start with you, then your friends on that other planet" he shouted, again trying to taunt him.

Fletcher didn't want to admit that he was in fact apprehensive about his actions. He didn't want to kill the Sith, his brother was a Sith, until Fletcher killed him. Thinking about it always struck guilt in him and he knew it was something he shouldn't be feeling. He had remained relatively calm throughout the fight but with his fear growing, it would surely lead to anger...

The Padawan kept his footing but became increasingly frustrated with his opponent and himself. He wanted to kill him and he wanted the SIth to stop toying with him. He had never realised the effects of the taunts he had so frequently used until they were used against him.

"The Republic will never fall!" he scowled and force jumped onto the platform to meet [member="Jardo Snow"]. Acting out of frustration and anger, he recklessly lunged the blade towards the Sith's abdomen, leaving himself well open to attacks, but he figured it would be worth it if his attack went to plan, but it would never be worth it.

haha same

*Dust had followed Jardo, curious of the activities of his rival apprentice. He wondered if the Sith was searching for power, and moreover if Dust could obtain that power for himself. This wasn't an act of dislike, in fact Jardo by virtue of his name brought back memories of Jado. If anything Dust wished to protect Jardo, and the only way to do that was obtain power which he felt would be better served in his own hands. Dust watched from a relative distance, hiding himself with force stealth, awaiting any action. It wasn't long before he saw Jardo descend on what seemed to be a young jedi.*

Dust: "Interesting"

*Dust mused to himself, examining the fight for now, curious to see the end result.*

Jardo brought his blade across his body, catching the blue blade of the young Jedi in his own crimson blade. His purple hair blowing as the small maintenance platform shook in the wind. Jardo looked around for a moment, using the force to push one of the leavers down, sending the small maintenance platform down. Slowly but surely they were descending.

Swinging his blade, Jardo was careful not to hit one of the support cables in the four corners. He wasn't sure if they were phrik or not, but he didn't want to take the chance. The young jedi blocked Jardo's shot but Jardo brought out a force jump, jumping over the young Jedi to a small platform behind him.

Jardo watched, waiting to see what the Jedi would do now he had the high ground. Shouting some taunts, Jardo looked up and saw just how far down they had gone. The former room they were in was at least twelve stories up, possibly even more. Jardo was covered in cuts and burns, and he knew they were no-where near done.

Fletcher pulled back as their blades clashed, not willing to be put into another saber lock. He stepped back to avoid another attack but was met by the edge of the platform. Keeping his balance, he met the opposing blade quickly but [member="Jardo Snow"] had jumped out of the way, now gaining the high ground.

The Padawan became increasingly angry, pacing, thinking what to do and trying to calm himself. The fight wasn't over, it was far from it. He knew if he were to attack it could be devastating from him so he bought his time and paced, his lightsaber held down at his side, there was no way he could attack from his height.

[member="Jardo Snow"]

Watching Fletcher lower below him was amazing. Maybe he'd let the kid go, and just meet him down below. That was always a decent idea. Anyway, he watched slowly, shouting to the young Jedi. "I have the high ground! It's over!". Maybe Jardo really believed that, but then again, maybe he didn't.

Turning off his lightsaber, he connected it to the black utility belt he wore. Ducking his head he stepped backwards, walking through an open door behind him. Jardo had formed a plan of going to meet the kid down on the lower levels, because as much as the kid may not of noticed it, he was still being lowered.

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Evaluating his options, he jumped onto a stationary platform, now unable to see his opponent who was quite far above him. It was almost quiet, almost. Fletcher was breathing heavily by now, worn out by the sheer stamina of the fight that had yet to begin. He kept his lightsaber ignited, it would surely only take a moment and he would be faced with a Sith again, though hopefully his opponent wouldn't outsmart him, he wasn't very good at planning ahead himself.

The Padawan took a step away from the edge and tried to use to force to sense the inevitable danger. The last time he had fought a Sith, he gained a scar on his face, only one but it was one more than he needed, one to remind him to focus and stay concentrated at all times or there would be consequences.

The Force, of course. It was a weapon he could always use and a protection that he could never lose.
