From here forward, every few months, a new chapter of the faction's story will be revealed! There will be fresh challenges, adversaries, rewards, and - above all - growth for you to pursue. Our dominions, events, and adventures will all stem from the foundation of the chapter's theme. And, as seasons are completed, the conclusions of each tale will be enshrined Here for all to see. Seasonal storytelling will all your mark on the Confederacy's story to be remembered evermore!
PRESENTING: SEASON OF THE COLOSSUS
BACKGROUND
When the Confederacy was but an infant nation, it took a harsh stance on the subject of personal sovereignty. Specifically, the act of slavery was outlawed within their borders. Those found guilty of the atrocious trade were given capital punishment via the Petranaki Arena. As the Confederacy expanded, their war against the rampant criminal syndicates brought them into contact with the Crucible. Previously, the slaver organization had operated without interruption for many years and had amassed quite a sum of power in the region. However, as the Confederacy grew in size and militant might, it became increasingly difficult for the Crucible to maintain its operations. The inevitable conflict began with small terrorist operations on the part of the former. Assassination attempts, bombings, and much more were carried out upon Confederate soil - with the most heinous being undertaken by an operative named Rhaegar. Moreover, the head of the Crucible - [member="Gath"] - launched direct militant operations to thwart Confederate expansion efforts.
In the end, Gath was supposedly deposed during the battle of Shimia. And Rhaegar was personally destroyed by the Vicelord above Maramere. In the wake of these battles, the Crucible grew silent - and the Confederacy's borders swelled into the present.
THE PRESENT
It is no secret that the powers of the Galaxy have been focused on warring against one another. And whilst the Great Galactic Battles raged, Hutt Space became a breeding ground for the most vile souls imaginable. Deserters, Slavers, and all manner of Criminal flocked to this region at an alarming rate. They took it upon themselves to turn the Galaxy's refugee crisis into a profit by preying upon fleeing vessels - robbing and enslaving all aboard. Yet, most alarmingly, they began to operate with terrifying efficiency. Once a gaggle of vicious souls, Hutt Space had - seemingly overnight - become a hub for the Galaxy's criminal underbelly. Yet no one knows who or what is responsible.
What is known is that the number of piracy attempts upon Confederate and Silver Jedi vessels have skyrocketed in recent months. But analysts believe this is but the opening skirmish in a new era of battle. A war against an opponent who cannot be bested by overwhelming armies or militant firepower - for they thrive in the crevices made by ordance.
