Ova Ziss created a company for the people, in the stead of his engineer rather Raiyan Ziss, who served as an ordinance officer in the Zweihander Union. In the backrooms of Dantooine, the United Trade Authority was formed in cooperation with representatives from the Diarchy, the Sith, the Dark Empire, Jedi interests, and independent space. The UTA is a loose alliance of various industrial manufacturers, ore producers, and merchants who seek an end to piracy and corruption in the galaxy, in all of its forms. Whispers of such an organization began after economic hardships and war befell the entire Outer Rim region for an extended period of time. Under the guidance of President Ova Ziss, the UTA represents the people of Dantooine in all of its economic interests, and some of its political interests as well.
HISTORY OF COMPANY
The United Trade Authority was created multiple generations ago by a space engineer on Dantooine named Raiyan Ziss, Ova Ziss's father. Picking up the pieces after the Sith attack, the man adopted a positive attitude, winning over scavengers, engineers, miners and industrialists. The late President Raiyan Ziss formed the company "United Industrial", which made consumer and commercial products in Dantooine. The UTA's United Industrial flagship operation would eventually extend to Entralla, Bastion, Ordo, and Taris.
Ova's father, Raiyan Ziss, ran the company before him. Raiyan Ziss primarily concerned himself with buying and selling spaceships, and spent his life pursuing Dantooine's mining status at the Peragus II facility, which the Trade Federation eventually approved.
Ova Ziss deeply resented his father Raiyan's reliance on the Trade Federation, seeing it as a shaky relationship from the beginning that was marred by conflict, mistrust, spying, scheming, and thieving by both the UTA and the Federation. For example - the Gree had a strong reputation of betraying the UTA, while still using their equipment to power their ships and defenses once the bounty hunters came knocking.
Ova schemed for years to take over two well-known industrial giants and to acquire all of their operations: Raddell Mining Corporation and Trilon Corporation. The merger of these companies and numerous other local economic interests in Dantooine formed the United Trade Authority (UTA). The UTA aspires to mine the lithium, focus crystals, and staple ores in the Dantooine system, and then form a larger trade and transport corridor. The ambitious Ova Ziss seeks to make live-able space stations across this economic corridor.
In the business world, Ova has begun a full-on war against planetary piracy together with the Diarchy. Space pirate groups such as the Scarlett Armada and the Confederacy of Independent Systems have made it difficult and expensive to do business in Dantooine. Ova Ziss used his vast intelligence, people networks, and lines of credit, to secure Dantooine from piracy attacks. However, this came at the cost of Dantooine's independence, as the planet became a member of the Diarchy: an order of both Sith and Jedi who were liberating planets in the Braxant Run.
Ova Ziss aspires to liberate the Dantooine crystal mines and Dantooine enclave from pirate squatters. The entire planetary security force amassed to eject this serious pirate encroachment on the Diarchy's claim on the planet. This conflict is ongoing.
Ova continues to expand his reaches beyond Dantooine, recently speaking with clients in Kuat, Jaemus, Kashyyk, Tatooine, and beyond.
Ova has started a swoop racing league in Dantooine called the "Dantooine Open".
