THE DIARCHY CAPITAL.

![]() RAITHAL ACADEMY OF STRUCTURAL DOCTRINE. To the LORDS OF THE DIARCHY, The RAITHAL ACADEMY OF STRUCTURAL DOCTRINE requests permission to send one of our students to the DIARCHY CAPITAL OF BASTION to study the engineering and architectural works happening in the city of RAVELIN following the IMPERIAL-INCURSION from five months ago. It is to our understanding that a great undertaking has gone into the reconstruction effort of several quadrants affected by the attack leading to our interest in DIARCHY architecture and how it differs from the distinct IMPERIAL design of the city. Our student (VIRETH) is a promising young woman hailing from the planet of KUAT and is the top of her class. Her studies into architecture and design has incorporated modern or classical galactic design but with the formation of THE DIARCHY (a new modern civilization in the present day) invites our curiosity into the cultural impact that they may have upon a planet that has been distinctly connected to IMPERIALISM for over a millennia. Thank you for reading our request. We look forward to your reply. R.A.S.D. |
RAVELIN, STARDATE: 070725.
FIVE MONTHS AFTER THE SARTINAYNIAN CRISIS.
The journey from the CORE WORLDS into the Outer Rim Territories is a long one particularly in the modern day with the collapse of hyperlanes and distortions in astronomical data (used by navi computers to calculate hyperspace jumps) following the PLANETSHIFT. It could be worth the long voyage, however. Vireth was curious about what was happening in the Braxant sector since the incursion five months prior; an attack on the old Imperial stronghold of Bastion by Imperial forces controlled by the defunct nations of the Dark Empire and Empire of the Lost. The news circulating in from the attack indicated massive damage to the megastructures and populace of the city by way of a Star Destroyer raining fire onto the planet surface in what analysts were calling a 'surprise attack'.
It made the native Kuati curious. So, she had applied to the Raithal Academy of Structural Doctrine to be given a commission sponsored by the school and arrangement of travel, visa and other necessities to make the long voyage from Kuat to Bastion to see what was going on there. She was told that a letter had been written to the so-called LORDS OF THE DIARCHY with their request and to their avail it had been granted. Vireth was set to meet with someone-- a woman called Xian Xiao-- who worked on behalf of the Diarchs and would be her escort and guide through the city as the Kuati continued their studies into galactic architecture.
After six long weeks of travel the transport Vireth had taken from Kuat arrived delivering her and the other passengers to Bastion. Emerging from the landing ramp, Vireth walked down the ramp in search for the woman she was meant to meet up with. It had been a stipulation for her time in the city for whoever Xian was to be with her at all times. Not that she minded. It would be fascinating to meet and talk with another who was in service to these so-called Diarchs-- an opportunity to learn what the culture was, it's societal impacts on a planet that had once been intertwined with the Imperial remnants, and the effects that they had had on the city itself particularly after the devastation from five months prior which had led to a period of reconstruction and mourning...
