▲ | Knife Fighter: Speed and precision have not only been wired into Tycho's brain but he excels when it comes to attention to detail. When he's in the cockpit, this TIE pilot prefers to be up close and personal when initiating a dogfight. It might take him longer to get onto a target but when he does, it's difficult to shake him.
▲ | Fit body, Fit Mind: Tycho pays close attention to his physical and mental readiness, living by a belief that physical and mental toughness will provide a better chance at survival than any technology or improved fighter system. Often engaging in logic puzzles and complex mind exercises, he hopes to maintain quickness on his feet. In the realm of space combat one has to adapt quickly and often or find themselves reduced to space dust.
▲ | Combat Capable: Martial prowess has always been one of Tycho's personal endeavors. Though he's a pilot and not a Stormtrooper and extremely unlikely to see ground combat, Tycho makes it a personal endeavor to be ready for anything. Due to his larger physical size and aggressive mentality he shows extreme potential even with his limited training.
▼ | Tycho "Too Tall" Desyk: Occupying the cockpit of a TIE is already a precarious entanglement, made moreso by Tycho's above average height. Once settled in his larger frame fits well enough to pilot effectively but due to his height several control surfaces usually need modification and if any quick extrication needs to be made - he might be in for some difficulty. In addition, most accomodations for pilots don't have his stature in mind. He's banged his head more times than he can count.
▼ | Rebellious Streak: Despite his capabilities, Tycho has a hard time keeping clear of trouble. Whether it's at a local watering hole or a rivalry turned heated, the pilot has had his fair share of fisticuffs. This has lead to punitive measures a handful of times and on one occasion, demotion. A short temper coupled with his ability to flip a switch from amiable to angry mean that for all his ability he could still be a liability.
APPEARANCE:
Lean. Mean. Cocksure. Large and in charge. Tycho exudes confidence and this is evident in both the way he carries himself and the way he talks. Standing at 6' 5'' he sports an athletic frame made only more statuesque by the trim First Order Pilot's uniform. Brown hair, hazel eyes, and fair skin paint a stark contrast against the dark colors of his uniform.
BIOGRAPHY:
Previously a hired hand on an Outer Rim Freighter, Tycho spent his early life traveling from planet to planet. Lifting crates, loading and unloading the cargo bay, providing security - just a few of the tasks he'd been saddled with while in the Freighter's employ. He spent this time learning about ship systems, maintenance, and even did his best to understand the concepts of flying - his end goal someday: To become a pilot. It took him years to finally get the opportunity but when he did - he went all in. Quitting the life of a freighter hand, Tycho signed up with the First Order - starved for bodies. There was no guarantee he'd become a pilot, much less a fighter pilot but when assignments were released, his scores, tenacity, and hard effort didn't go unrewarded. Assigned to a TIE squadron, Tycho has been a TIE pilot for enough time to make rank - and lose it. Though not a veteran, he's familiar enough to be considered one of the better pilots in his squadron even if his off duty behavior is less than stellar.
