PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Tyber Rail carries the lean, hardened look of someone raised under the twin suns. Standing just under six feet at 5 '10 and solid at 182 pounds, his build is wiry and athletic rather than bulky muscle earned through long days, not training halls. His brown eyes are keen and alert, holding an unnerving steadiness.
Straight brown hair fell to a mild, practical length, often wind-tossed and sun bleached at the edges. A short stubble beard shadowed his jaw, giving him an older, road-worn look that contrasted with his youth. His skin was a warm, medium tone, weathered by heat and sand than age.
He is dressed for survival as much as style, a dark felt gambler-style hat sat low over his brow and shading his eyes. Beneath a dust-worn poncho, he ewes a tan outer shirt layered over a buff-colored undershirt, the fabrics chosen for breathability rather than comfort. His pants are practical and well-used, tucked into scuffed brown boots that seem more desert than duracrete.

A10 blaster pistol , A280 blaster rifle, Vibro-knife, Vibro-Tomahawk, Holo-Binoculars, Canteen, Comlink, Zephyr-G swoop
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Tyber Rail has a strong sense of responsibility and self-reliance. He is noted to be often determined and quite reckless at times, especially when it comes to his sense of right and wrong. He is a proud member of the Rail family, but being the youngest son, he feels a desire to constantly try to prove his worth and make his own way in the universe. His brutal experience as a captive of bandits has hardened his view against criminals. To friends and family, he is loyal and caring.

Just don't expect any sage wisdom from him. He believes in a black and white sense of justice and is harsh toward those who exploit others and hold a grudge against those who betray others' trust. He has a hard time accepting help from strangers when he is hurting in the soul and tries to bottle his emotions, but they can come out at the worst possible moment. Still, if you want someone who stands in the gap in a fight, he will be there if convinced.

HISTORY
Tyber was born into the large and extended Rail family, who own a ranch near Mos Taike, the youngest son out of seven children. He grew up helping to take care of the family estate under his father's supervision and close to his siblings and numerous cousins. Tyber developed a desire for adventure and often got into mischief. When he was thirteen years old, however, he was kidnapped by a swoop gang and was held for ransom for weeks. During that time, he was brutally beaten and half-starved by them. Yet one day, he managed to escape into the Dune Sea and miraculously survived thanks to traveling Jawas on their sandcrawler.

Of course, he had to repay their mercy by introducing them to his family for business. In addition, he revealed where the swoop gang was hiding out, and thanks to his intel, they were wiped out by a vigilante band led by his father, Noren. After that experience, he became more assertive, not wanting to be a victim and practiced more of his marksmanship and how to fight his older siblings and parents. As time went on, his restlessness became more apparent, and eventually, at age eighteen, he left home with an emotional farewell.

He made his way all the way to Anchorhead, working various odds before he earned the attention of the local marshal, a former CorSec officer named Derek Hawke, when intervening in a cantina brawl on his side. It wasn't too long before Tyber became one of Hawke's deputies. Under the veteran's tutelage, Tyber learned law enforcement on the frothier and CorSec detective work. At times, his boss noticed the young man's reckless streak and often butted heads with him on it, though they cared about one another as mentor and student. For a few months, Tyber was smitten by an outsider named Ria Delel before he discovered she was using him to cover her con work.

Enraged by the betrayal, he nearly shot her before Derek intervened and brought him back from the brink. They instead arrested her. Ashamed of how close he nearly fell, Tyber attempted to turn in his badge, but Marshal Hawke refused, telling him he should only leave when he is ready to and not because of heartbreak. Humbled by his mentor's trust, Tyber continued to be his deputy for the time being. Though both of them know it is only a matter before he sets out on a new course.
