Tutaminis.0

Standing in place, with her eyes closed, trying to center herself. She was beginning to perform a meditative stretching exercise. She firmly planted her feet on the ground, and began to slowly lean over to place her hands firmly on the ground. Being a fighter she had to make sure she had some degree of flexibility. She didn't wanna be stiff, or she wouldn't be able to maneuver as much as she wanted. She began to arched her body into a rounded shape, with the buttocks as high as they could go. She was practicing the Arch pose;

She had decided to do this so that she could be practicing, while also waiting for her newest instructor.
One who she had came into contact with by accident. He was a sith, but instead of attacking her like she assumed he would have, hence why she attacked first, he offered to teach her, seeing potential in her. Tahl was lucky he didn't kill her, she awaited him on Dantooine, in a grove that identified itself with worn down pillars, and cracked stone within the ground.

Dantooine, it was a planet alive in the force. A long time ago a Sith Lord had positioned a fleet above the planet and bombarded it. The main target of the attack had been a jedi academy on the planet. The presence of the academy itself had led the people of the planet to believe that they had been safe from the grasp of the sith, naturally they had been wrong. The people of the planet had, for a time, disliked and despised anything that had to do with the jedi or sith. Their animosity towards the sith was well deserved but towards the jedi they saw their hate justified by their inability to protect them and ability to bring harm wherever they went. How odd then that the planet was currently under control of the sith.

Why would a sith knight come to a planet such as this? Yes it was rich in the force but it was mostly of the light side, combined with a few spots where much death had doubtlessly happened. He had come to the planet to see about the possibility of a new student, this time she wasn't sith however. It was always odd meeting a force user who was not inherently tied to one side of the force via their faction. He clung onto the dark side even though some of his technique and tendencies would probably be closer to that of a jedi. He had stared down the dark side because that was the only road he had been able to follow at the time, that and it had been in his blood. He wondered, if he taught this new student similarly as a sith, what she would turn out to be. Would she fuel her emotions while maintaining a semi balance of light similar to him? Become a sith in all but name, or perhaps simply use him.

He entered the area she had specified meeting him in, worn down stone and pillars. There were several kath hounds nearby but they seemed content to let him be. Extending his sensed he could feel the slightest taint of the dark side in the otherwise peaceful area. Something or someone made a ripple here but what he couldn't tell. He continued to look for his new student and when he laid eyes on her the first thing he saw was her butt rising towards him. He eyes trailed the pose she was in before making a sound that could be described as part disgust, part mock, and part surprise. "Just because I spared you life doesn't mean I am attracted to you. Please stop trying to seduce me."

Tahl was deep into meditation, and stretching, engulfing herself in the living force of this planet. This was her first time applying this to her rather intense training regime. This considered a vacation from the constant strain she would always place on her body, nevertheless it was for the best. If she had ever wanted to master the philosophy of the matukai then she needed to push her limits with everything she did. She hadn't really noticed anyone approaching, not even the wildlife around her. She heard a voice, filled with mystery, come for, behind her. She opened her eyes, and looked between her legs to see the robes of a man standing behind her.

"....Doesn't mean I'm attracted to you, so stop trying to seduce me." We're the few words that stuck with her from all that he had said. She came out of the Arch pose and stood up with her hand on her hip. "Well now... Don't pretend my considerable feminine charms had no effect." She said with a smirk, and smart tone of voice. She hadn't her jacket on so her physique was obvious. Her body was quite toned, and she had some visible definitions to her arms. "We'll I'm Tahl, its nice to finally greet you outside of battle." He said looking him over. She began to think to herself, he was attractive in a bad boy meets scholar type of way, but he was a sith, and she wasn't really sure if she could trust him.

Who knows he could end her life right now if he wanted, but that wouldn't mean Tahl wouldn't put up a fight.

He had somewhat expected her to berate him with some kind of defense to her womanly charms when he had made the comment. Generally speaking women considered talking about such things in public to be rather distasteful. Some it seemed simply didn't care if their own confidence in their bodies were known. Yes, she seemed very confident in her body and with the slight glance he had gotten of her he could say that that confidence was well founded. He had gotten a look at her and it was only natural that she would at him. He did not miss the glances she thought he didn't see. While she was certainly attractive, in a human kind of way, there were several factors to consider if anything were to happen. Could any offspring come from the union: yes, unions of human and sith species were known to make children. Could she trust him or could he trust her? It was certainly possible to trust one another at some point, but not now. Was she not learning from him? No matter how bad a reputation the sith seemed to have he disliked taking advantage of people personally. Impersonally he would take advantage of them every time, yet he failed to even contemplate having a relationship with someone when he was their master and teacher, to have such power over someone would corrupt the union.

"Nezuel" He said, his voice neutral. "You wished to learn from me?"

She look at him with her eyes squinted. "Nice to meet you Nezuel, for the second time haha. And we'll I've wanted to study Tutaminis under you." She said with an upbeat tone. This guy was just full of mystery, and pretty much neutral the entire time. "Maybe this was how all sith were.."she thought to herself. "Nah that would be stereotyping, besides that really doesn't matter anyway, its his ability to teach me." She stayed at a rather mid distance, because she was a little nervous to get close, though she wouldn't be able to remain this was the entire lesson. Just without her being able to read him clearly, she wasn't really at ease. This man could attack her at any moment. From what she had heard of the sith they were rather reckless, mean, and icky. He certainly wasn't icky, but the other characteristics hadn't manifested themselves yet. "So... You think you can handle me as one of your students?" She questioned him with a smirk on her face, and her head titled down, eyes closed, and her hand on her hips.

Nezuel saw several emotions move through his would be student's head. If he wanted to he could have broken through any mental defenses she held and taken them for himself. Doing so, however, would be as subtle as a wampa in a china shop. If he did so he would lose her trust and the possibility to maybe learn something from her, plus any thoughts she was having after just meeting him were probably about how she felt about him, something he generally didn't care about when it came to other people. "The question you should ask is whether you can handle being my student. Tutaminis is a very hard type of power to grasp. When it comes to the term itself it is a branch term, meaning it covers a large area of skills. Simpler techniques allow one to block and form shields with the force. The more difficult allow one to absorb and redirect energy."

She looked up, and got pretty excited. "I'm sure I could handle being you student," she said walking closer to him. "I'm all for absorbing energy!" She said with her hands by her face, bitting her bottom lip, and excitement written over her face. She got so excited when he told her of the possibilities, and when she wanted to learn something, she most definitely put her mind to it. Besides with her primary form of combat being unarmed, he needed another defense. Especially when it came to opponents who weren't unarmed at all which was the majority of the people in the galaxy. She looked up at him with her brown eyes, "I promise I won't let you down!" Tahl had only hoped she wasn't overwhelming him, and coming on too strong. She has a habit of doing that and sometimes it makes others feel rather, uncomfortable.

"One of the simpler ways to use Tutaminis is to project around yourself a shield of the force. Unlike other aspects of the skill however it is simply what it sounds like, a shield. It will not absorb or deflect attacks, it will blunt and defend against them. It is very similar to the way one would harness the force through a push or pull. The only difference is that you are condensing the energy of the force around you, either in a sphere or a wall. Any padawan or apprentice can throw a telekinetic blow at someone but it takes much more skill to keep it there, hence why Tutaminis is categorized as a control skill." With little formality he exercised what he was talking about. He brought the force around him and held it there, a wall of energy that would protect him from any force weaker than the wall itself. With a little finesse he made the wall visible by adding a bit of light around it.

She stood in front of him haunched over, and her knees slightly bent. Her hands were in front of her, resting on her chin, interlocked. She was so into what he was saying. This ability had so many possibilities, and she really needed a good defense. She listened as he went on explaining how everything works. She remained in this position. Her eyes widened when he began to do a demonstration. It was really cool, and she couldn't wait to get her hands on that type of control and power. With her primary form of combat being unarmed, she need someone she could use to protect herself from those who weren't unarmed which was almost everyone nowadays. She stood up straight, with her hands on her hip. Her face was now serious, as she nodded her head. "Yeah, teach me..please?" She said in a serious tone of voice

The sith were an order that had derived its learning from harnessing emotions, the complete opposite as the jedi who sought to control their emotions. Yet even then the jedi did not live their lives with no emotions at all, in fact they tended to harness emotion quite a lot. Determination and serenity were as much emotions as states of beings and the jedi harnessed them often when they battled the sith. The sith on the other hand tended to harness the negative emotions such as rage and pain. Why was this? Why couldn't a sith harness their emotions in the same way as a jedi and draw upon aspects such as love to gain strength? The answer was a simple one, they could harness such emotions. The reason the sith had relied almost entirely upon negative emotions was because they often took paths that were selfish and easy for them. In battle pain and anger were common. Similarly the sith often harnessed such emotions in training and he had decided to train the person in front of him in the sith way. The question was, how did one bring about the same emotions in training as in real combat. The answer, again, was simple. You simply made the two indistinguishable.

He put more power into the wall he had made with the force, causing it to fly towards the female force sensitive much in the way a typical force push would. The difference in the two was that this was a technique that would keep her pinned to the wall, the only way to exit it was to either break his concentration or apply an opposite force on the wall. "Defend yourself."

Tahl stood there with her hand on her hip. It seemed as though he was thinking to himself. She just looked on to see if he was ever gonna answer her question. She raised her eyebrow waiting, then she noticed the wall he created through the force seemed as though it was becoming more visible, hmm maybe it was just her. Then he took her offguard by launching it at her at an astonishing speed. All she could think to do was put her arms up and push back. She was sliding back trying to stop his thing. Then she heard him speaking to her, "Defend yourself" were his exact words. Her normal muscle strength wasnt doing much, so she made use of her massive force enhanced strength to aid her. She shouldve done this from the beginning, because it actually put a stop to the wall, though she had to hold on to it so it wouldn't slip up and actually crush her. "Well.. your really caught me offguard there buddy. Good move" she said with praise and a wink.

Nezuel watched as his wall started to push her back. From within her he felt the flow of the force and tilted his slightly in interest as she stopped his push. How odd, stopping it simply by pure force-enhanced strength, such a feat shouldn't normally be possible. Then again he had gone about trying to reach his goal in a rather roundabout and odd method in and of itself. His wall was similar in effect to a slow acting force push. If he had wanted to he could have simply used the ability to push her against the wall, pinning her quickly. To do so would mean she would most probably be stuck on the wall until he released her, rather counterproductive to the environment he was trying to generate. Instead he had made it slow on purpose, to give her a chance to react. He had wanted her to reply with her ability in the force, instead she had used strength. "Tutaminis is not something one achieves through pure physical strength." he said as concentrated more power into the wall, bringing both his hands towards her. This policy of hers of relying on matter over mind....he had to change.

She had been practicing, and using her strength for so long that had become instinct; natural. She didnt have to use much control anymore like she use to. Of course with him being more powerful, and experienced than she, he could always just exert a little more force and it would most likely crush her. He spoke to her, telling her learning this ability cannot be achieved through sheer physical force. Her eyes widened, everything she had practiced had all involved the physical. It made her just a little nervous, because she was stepping into a area where she had never been before. She had one hand on the wall while they talked. She felt its power increase, it became more stronger. It pushed her back, and she took acouple of steps back with her hands up and her eyes in surprise. She couldnt rely on her strength. She just had to try and she put her hands up, hoping she was utilizing the force in the right way her mentor had wanted. Her eyes were closed, so she couldnt tell what she was doing.

The wall pushing against his would-be student abruptly vanished as he realized that this type of training just wasn't going to work with the person in front of him. He sighed, disappointment in himself for not seeing it sooner. The rash and strong personality she had and her ability and dependency on force enhanced strength. In terms of the physical she was well off, perhaps she could be a bit faster, but her strength was fine. It was in the meta physical and magical ways of the force that alluded her. He wondered if she had ever even utilized the form of control in moving an object. Compared to his style of mostly focusing on the force and hers on strength he realized it would be more difficult than he thought to teach her a difficult technique. The sith method of forcing an emotional and subconscious reaction was only good if that persons innate abilities were aligned with the the right type, as she wasn't. "This isn't working. Have you ever used the force to move something? Either pushing, pulling, or just holding.?"

She still had her eyes closed and her hands out, she figured she had did it. She opened one eyes slowly, and saw nothing but Nezuel standing there. She slowly stood straight up, and placed her hand on her hip. She heard him sigh and couldnt think of anything but the fact that she had messed up and made him made in some type of way. Her eyes widened, and she stared at him waiting to see if he would start yelling or something. But he didnt he just started talking, asking her if she had ever even utilized the force to pull or push something. While he was going down the list she could only shake her head no. Because she wasnt sure how to use the "invisible force" all of that was untouched territory to her. "Im sorry dude, but ive never used the force in that type of manner.." she was hoping he wouldnt get mad. She covered her face even.

ah, then his reasoning had been right. When he had fought the force sensitive in front of him he had assumed her to be something similar to a padawan or apprentice, someone who had at least some meaningful knowledge of the force beyond what was simply instinctive for them. Yes, this lesson would take longer than he had anticipated, even several lessons if needed. By the end of them though she would have learned how to use the force in a way she hadn't thought possible, or simply hadn't considered. She was a natural at using the force inside her own body but what he needed to teach her was how to expel that energy. "Sit" he said, motioning a spot in front of him as he himself sat down on the floor in a meditation pose. "Do you know what the force is?"
