  • Escape Pods
Manoeuvrability Rating: 14

Hyperdrive Class: 1

Strengths:

  • Heavy Frigate; The 1250 is designed to take a hit and give it back two-fold, serving the Commonwealth fleet as a future harasser of larger naval engagements and as a assault vessel against smaller engagements.
Weaknesses:
  • Power Diversion; TaraTari has been around for a number of decades but their decades are not up to galactic standards. While attempting to reflect the raw power of state of the line vessels it has come across a power fault. The 1250 is cursed with micro-managing power between engines and weapons in engagements, requiring careful attention from both crew, technicians and captain, lest they suffer a shortage.
Description:
With a far superior crew roster and more robust technicians required for the frigate, the TTW-1250 is a step up from the first line out of TaraTari Wartime. Almost half the size of the TTW-1000, the 1250 is far more suited for combat than its younger cousin. Although it has forgone the impact walls of the 1000 or carry capacity, it makes up for it with firepower.

Unlike other galactic powers, TaraTari is taking a new edge on assault vessels. Bigger is not always better, especially in the shape of the 1250. Cheaper to manufacture than the giants of the First Order, they don't quite boast the defense capabilities of modern frigate but much akin to the Commonwealth army, there is strength in numbers, and the smaller they get, the cheaper, the more can be deployed.

The 1250 is just the beginning of TaraTari future endeavors, although it can handle its own against frigates of similar types, it is still an ant up against a Star Destroyer alone. The 1250 will be used in future tactics by the Commonwealth to serve as a harasser in naval engagements, due to its hardy build and small size comparative to other fleet it will harass larger fleets while bigger Commonwealth ships provide the punch that is needed.

Drop Pods
to keep this a heavy cruiser with no development these will need to be removed.
heavy cruisers do not carry attack craft normally. You can bypass the development by reducing other ratings. again drop pods count as squadrons.

this implies it has heavy weapons

this implies a weakness in firepower

If you removed the hanger capacity and drop pods this would be good to go. If you are intent on keeping them you will need to do development or reduce other ratings.

Armament: 18
Armament: (You may provide your armament in list format and must provide your vessel an Armament Rating on a scale of 0-20, where 0 is no weapons, 1 is very light weapons, 5 is light weapons, 10 is average weapons, and 20 is heaviest weapons. Armament Ratings are scaled in relation to the class of ship, meaning a Starfighter will not equate to a Destroyer. Armament Ratings provide only basic weaponry unless the ship also has a breakdown of weapons. Please link to all Factory Submissions used. Typically requires development: Anything above 16 for a max size vessel. Links: Starship Weapons, Approved Technology)
While you are only 6 meters short of a full 500 meters, and do have 0 squadrons in your hangar, you also boast two advanced systems (Sensors, targeting) and fairly decent Speed/Maneuverability considering the size of the ship and weapons therein.

If you want to avoid any development, I'd suggest lowering the armaments to 16 or dropping both advanced systems to their normal counterparts and a bump to either the speed or maneuverability to give it a better weakness, otherwise I'll accept a 15 post development thread on the ship.

Overall it's a very nice ship, you're just a bit beyond the boundaries of what can be approved without development at the moment.
