- Bullpup design (with the action and magazine located behind the trigger) allows for greater stability and shorter length

DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES

The SAR-41 is designed as a multi-purpose weapon for both domestic and battlefield use by Sith Ascendancy Troopers. As a consequence, it has been designed to be used in close-quarters as well as at medium range (maximum 200m range), with a compact bullpup design, to allow for easier handling and a more compact size compared to a standard blaster rifle.

The ammunition can be swapped out according to the needs of the user: although it can fire as a standard blaster rifle, a trooper may also use explosive rounds to deal with harder targets (firing at 4 rounds per magazine), as well as a multi-purpose flechette round, which can either fire small, sharp needles in groups of 5 (4 shots per cartridge), or single-shot Shock Bolt rounds for restraint or riot control purposes.

Strengths
- Multi-Purpose role, able to exchange ammunition to suit needs
- Small, compact and stable compared to standard blaster rifles
- Removable scope, capable of cycling through x2 and x4 magnification

Weaknesses
- Variable ammunition requires trooper to carry several different types and exchange as needed
- Bullpup design requires trooper to pull off target in order to reload, requiring time/cover for reload during combat
- Small cartridge sizes for Explosive/Flechette rounds necessitate frequent reloading
- Unable to be used for fully-automatic fire: uses single-shot and semi-automatic modes

DESCRIPTION

In order to meet the needs of the average Ascendancy Trooper in the field, the Ascendant Circle commissioned Ignus Industries to create a standard weapon that could be used in a variety of different scenarios. Their answer was the SAR-41 Multi-Purpose Assault Rifle. Designed with variable ammunition as well as a compact frame, the SAR-41 is effective as a civilian crowd/riot-control aid as well as a battlefield weapon that can stand up to equivalents produced by other weapons manufacturers.

It comes with several different ammunition types: tibanna gas cartridges that enable it to fire standard blaster bolts; explosive rounds which feature a detonite tip, designed to explode when making contact with a hard surface; and flechette rounds, which can swap either between small needles firing in a 5-needle burst or Shock Burst rounds, which fire on single-shot mode only, but are capable of incapacitating a target on impact by electrocuting the victim.

The addition of the Flechette rounds was of particular interest to the Circle due to the need to provide Troopers with a means of defending themselves against Jedi targets: lightsabers are unable to deflect/reflect flechette projectiles, and can only incinerate them. Thus, firing a burst of 5 flechettes makes it more likely that one or more will penetrate the Jedi's defenses and score a damaging hit. The shock rounds are designed to be used for domestic purposes: ensuring that weapons fire on civilians is not required to be lethal in nature, allowing for appropriate arrest and interrogation, if required.

The magnification scope on the rifle is designed to be modular, and can be removed if the trooper using it so wishes: this enables it to be altered for domestic use, since a scope is unlikely to be used in close-quarters.

Hi! Very nice-looking sub. Just one thing and I can stamp it right away - the ammunition capacity field is missing. Could you quickly edit that in?
