Trouble On Sarapin

"Welcome home Senator, how was your trip to the Carida?" his servant girl asked as he walked into his home.

Since he had been elected to the Senate things had been going faster than at any other point in his life as a result he had spent little time at home or Sarapin in general. He had missed the comfort of having a group of servants attending to his every need and pampering him, his staff at the senate didn't even compare. But even this momentary break wasn't one without work he had a very important guest coming to have dinner with him tonight, a potential ally he hoped. [member="Leo Wolf"] was new to the galactic scene and Lux couldn't deny they had much in common on paper at least, they were both young and came from wealthy families, but they were also ambitious and thirsty for chances to prove themselves, so in that spirt he had invited to young Count from Serenno to his home for dinner.

He was brought out his thoughts when the servant girl politely coughed bringing his attention back to the present "Yes my trip was well spent. Tell me is everything ready for tonight I want everything to be perfect first impressions are everything."

"Yes Senator everything is prepared the way that you planned it, the dinning room lights have been slightly dimmed, your mothers fine china is set up on the table, and the wine has been brought up from the cellar."

"Good" he did brief walk around the living room and the dinning room everything looked presentable, the last thing he needed was someone coming and seeing a dirty house. He moved up the stairs towards his room, the Count would be there soon and he needed to be dressed and ready to greet him at the door. He had been the one to revamp the fashion industry on Sarapin so picking out something decent wouldn't be a challenge. That was until he opened the door to his closet and saw all of his options, this was going to take a while.

As the ship exited from hyperspace Leo was confronted with a planet that he had never seen before. Under normal circumstances, he would never be travel this far into New Republic territory but from what he had been hearing they had bigger things to worry about than a small ship traveling to Sarapin. The planet looked red probably due to the fact that its surface had many volcanoes and rivers of lava.

Once the ship entered the planet's atmosphere he typed in the coordinates that [member="Lux Berooken"] had given him. It was still weird that a Republic Senator would have requested to meet with him and for dinner at his personal home no less. He had his lightsaber strapped to the waistband of his pants in case things didn't go as planned, but he didn't sense that this meeting was a trap so he was relaxed. A mansion eventually came onto his screen and he made preparations to land and it's landing pad. His ship landed next to a royal Naboo ship that he presumed belonged to Lux.

It was windy and his cape blew in the wind as he exited the ship and made his way to the entrance of the home.

He felt relived when he was informed that a ship had just landed on his space pad, waiting was always the worst part when it came to these types of things and the timing worked out great because he had just managed to get his clothes on. Racing down the stairs and doing a very quick examination of the house to makes sure everything looked fine, he stopped at the door and waited until he heard the footsteps.

"Count [member="Leo Wolf"] great welcome to Sarapin and to my home, I trust that you had an easy time getting here one of the benefits of living in this area is the privacy it allows me to host just about anyone. Come in, I know it isn't a quick journey from Serenno you must be tired the spare rooms are upstairs, take all the time that you need and when you are ready signal one of the servants and they will escort you to the dinning room. I am sure that you and me will have much to discuss while we eat."

In truth that was an understatement inviting a Sith into Republic space was certainly a unorthodox move that was sure to upset some of the Senate and maybe his own people if the news came out. But the gaining a powerful ally was much more important to him at the moment than a little risk of upsetting some of his colleagues.

"Thank you for inviting me to your home Senator it is an honor. The trip was a long one but I will no delay as you say we have much to discuss." he bowed respectfully and went off to the spare rooms section of the house quickly finding the largest one and claiming it for himself. He had to admit [member="Lux Berooken"]had a nice home and from his interactions with them, the staff seemed to be very professional. True to his word Leo only allowed himself a few moments to collect his thoughts and get over the long trip, he was also hungry and looking forward to dinner.

As soon as he entered the dining room his nose was assaulted with the smell of something delicious he took a seat at the table eager to begin, but then he sensed something through the force. He felt like he was in danger but unlike times in his life he couldn't figure out where the danger was coming from. He didn't think that Lux was the one responsible for the feeling but nevertheless he was guard now looking for the slightest hint of attack. He looked over the servants and when he sensed that they had no ill will towards him he was mystified as to what the force was alerting him to.

"You know one of the more underrated exports from Sarapin is our wine" uncorking the bottle and pouring two glasses "I doubt that you'll ever have anything better, now I'd like to get to the reason that I invited you all the way here. Members of the government of this planet have used the shall we say...setbacks of the New Republic to attack my legacy and position and to make matters worse I believe that they are planning an attempt on my life. I know, I know your wondering what does the safety of one soon to be former Senator of a planet totally outside the control of the Sith Empire have to do with you, well if you could help a guy out I'd be more than willing to provide you with some political support with various actors on the galactic stage."

It was a big ask but if there was a plot to kill him Lux needed the help of someone who was powerful and there was no doubt that Leo knew how to handle himself. He hated the fact that he had to bring someone from the outside in to deal with the affairs of his own home planet but his options were limited.
