DESCRIPTION
The Trigonus Industries 'Angler' Class Patrol Corvette was developed by Trigonus Industries to be an effective patrol ship that could be sold to star systems and planetary security forces throughout the galaxy. It has everything a patrol ship might need: A tractor beam capable of seizing ships, a squadron of starfighters to secure those ships, and a boarding shuttle capable of conducting inspections. But it also has much more firepower than a simple patrol corvette usually needs. The 24 launchers on the ship are an excessive array of weaponry if one merely needs to interdict smugglers and pirates, especially with a squadron of starfighters already carried aboard. It seems clear that the corvette is also intended to serve as an economical warship for systems in need of more than just police duties. Whether used alone or in flotillas, it can punch far above its weight if such duty becomes 'unexpectedly' called for.
