TRIAL BY FIRE
"Out of the ashes, we Rise."

Fires burn on Yaga Minor. The operation was successful. The Diarchy has been held to account and a treaty of non-aggression signed. But the war is not over.

The target has changed.

With new information placing The Imperial Confederation at the heart of the grief of Vexis Station, the troubles that plagued the Mandalorian Empire these long months, it is time to bolster the war host. Time for new warriors to prove their worth. They will test themselves against Mandalore’s history or their own heritage, to prove they can ensure Mandalore’s future and take their place in its storied legacy.

Kalevala's ancient fortress, Raver Calyiu’r, former seat of Clan Kryze, stands ready. Here, foundlings of all clans shall enter its crucible and emerge victorious. The restored halls of the Azure Bastion have been prepared to host honored guests and warriors alike. Banners of the Mandalorian Empire and clans snap in the wind of the seaside fortress, waiting to receive those who would test themselves and those who would stand witness.

Trial by Fire is a chance to prove your foundling’s worth and courage IC. Below are the points of interest.

1. Liberation and Reclamation

Foundlings will enter the arena and face off against two Mand’alors that shaped the history of Mandalore itself. The goal is to last until the timer sounds. Survival means victory. Write your fight until it feels like the victory is earned, and have the buzzer sound. This will be nonlethal PvP for those foundlings that need to prove themselves against others.

Fans and supporters of the foundlings can roll 1d6 in their posts: on a 6, they are able to jump into the fight and help their foundling survive.

For Foundlings, Mandalorian Warriors, and combat-minded Spectators.

2. Feats of Honor

Some foundlings need to prove their worth to themselves. For that, there are three contests of skill: for accuracy, the spear throw; for strength, the hammer throw; and for survival, a land nav assessment. Participate in as many or as few contests as you like. Dice rolls will determine the score. The highest scores in each contest earn bragging rights but be warned: veteran warriors are allowed and will compete against you.

Spear throw dice rolls - Roll 1d20 three times (three posts, three spears to throw). Dice rolls determine the grouping of spears thrown. The cumulative total is your score.

Hammer throw dice rolls - Roll 1d20 three times (three posts, three hammers thrown). Rolls determine the range of the hammer thrown. Only the highest roll will count as your score.

Land Nav dice rolls - Roll 1d6 with each post as you make your way to the extraction point. Once the sum total equals or breaks 20, you have made it to the designated extraction point. The fewer posts you have to make, the better your score.

3. Stand Witness

All beginnings need those willing to witness them, whether they be explosive introductions or a quiet start. Friends, visitors, and dignitaries from governments that are in good or neutral standing with the Mandalorian Empire are welcome to gather here and take part in celebration or to enjoy Mandalorian hospitality and see what it means to embrace shereshoy.

Social point of interest for Foundlings that have finished their Verd’goten, Mandalorian Warriors, and Guests.

4. The Azure Bastion

The rebuilt fortress is massive and sprawling but it does not stand alone. As the Empire has rebuilt itself from ashes, Raver Calyiu’r towers over a cliffside town that is experiencing an economic boom. What trouble will you find? Or will you be the one to cause trouble?
