Treetop Kingdom

Treetop Kingdom is more or less about the journey we take to help overcome loss and pain we feel as people. Loss of a loved one, a relationship gone, a piece of trauma that has weighed heavy on our souls. It all really boils down to acceptance, acceptance of one's self and actions. And of course this wouldn't be some of my work if it didn't briefly touch on aspects of absurdism and existentialism. Treetop Kingdoms lightly takes on the subject of Radical Freedom, and what exactly is Radical Freedom? Well it's a piece of existentialism philosophy that sums up to "You are responsible for your own happiness." You are everything that you are and nothing more, that there is no "Deep down I'm a good person." We are our actions, and we are our consequences. We are everything that is wrong with us.

And as uncomfortable and frightening as that may sound, there's beauty and hope behind it. That it's never too late to the person you want to be, and that you can decide to be better.

So these are what Treetop Kingdom will be getting into as its primary subject matter. The process of becoming better people despite all the horrible and painful things that we've either committed, or of inflicted on others.
