Outside Mezrobadd
Somewhere in the Mid-Rim

A small collection of adventurers had gathered just outside the tall and impressive ruin of Mezrobadd. The Lair of Roots, as it was called by the locals, and a one-time Citadel of the Mezaro Greenweavers. A Force sensitive culture that had come-and-gone long ago. Now it was little more than a empty castle made of white bark and enormous caverns. Maybe even caverns teeming with loot? At least... That's what the adventurers were all hoping as they congregated below,

"Well? Are we just going to sit out here all day or are we going to see what's inside the palace already? Good grief."

Emma Prinn frowned even as she said it. Placing both hands properly on her hips to protest their idle delays. She was far too curious a woman and a Jedi to be made to wait any longer.

"Relax Emma." A strong and hearty male called from the steps below. "We'll be walking through the front gates just as soon as our Cathar Guide returns from the Forest. He made strict instructions not to enter the ruins without him."

Emma pouted her lips and scoffed. What an untimely delay. Even at the age of twenty four years old, she could still be as impetuous as a child. Oh, and how she hated waiting. Ugh.

Clark Kerr just smiled and shook his handsome head. He was a dutiful solder currently on leave. Leave, which meant he would find adventures of his own to accomplish today. And accompanying Emma on this crazy treasure hunt seemed like the perfect place to start. Even with his dashing brown hair and long-armed rifle at his side, you couldn't find a more rugged cowboy. Now maybe it was the Jedi teachings of humility she'd been practicing lately, but Emma found his confidence and bravado to be rather annoying.

"Well. He'd better show up soon Clark. Otherwise I'm likely to go bounding off inside without him."

"Ease off the gas Emma. He'll show. He'll show. Primal Warriors like him don't get lost in the back country so easily. I would know."

"Oh really? You would know?"

"Yeah? ...I would know. Pfft. Have a little faith Cinnamon Sticks. Jeez."

Clark could only smile and tease. He was enjoying the down-time they were finding on this adventure. It gave him more time for making bad jokes and driving his beautiful companion crazy.

Shane had heard of the Mezrobadd ruin.

It supposedly had treasure and Shane intended to get a share.

Shane came out into a area where people were, his Canine followed close by his heels.

Shadow's black fur glimmered in the light.

Out of the people he stood off to the side out of the view of most. His hound sat patiently next to him.

Shane reached down and pet the hound, he then gave him a treat.

the canine Looked up at Shane "Bark!....Bark!" it said.

Shane frowned his mask was on.

"Quiet down Shadow, don't attract attention." Shane said before the dog gave a low whimper.

These people might be troublesome to the loot.

Waiting outside of Mezrobadd

Clark took a break from his humorless thoughts to wander down the steps and closer to the tree line. Emma was still a little stir crazy and sat down upon a large stone to consider her situation. They were not the only adventurers who had arrived today to inspect this ruin further. She frowned as she looked the mercenaries over. It was a diverse group. Some specialists, some tourists. The only thing that was keeping them outside of the ruin was the fact that nobody who entered, ever seemed to return. Which meant there was either another exit or something far, far worse.

Emma also noticed a canine and it's owner. She was terribly frightful of wolves and their kin so she quickly decided to stay far away from the furry creature. There was just something unnerving to her about lupine creatures. A repressed childhood memory or the like. Emma couldn't quite put her finger on it. And she never dared think too hard upon it either.

As she waited for their Cathar guide to show, Jedi Prinn wished she'd brought a book to read.

Shane watched the crowd.....fools.

He took particular notice in the woman sitting on a Large stone.

he walked closer to her, in fact right in front of her, his canine close by.

"Grrrrr.....Bark!!!" The Canine growled at the woman, Shane looked down at the Canine and stuck his hand out to signal it to stop growling.

Shane smiled. Then turned his attention back to the woman.

"Good morning madam." Shane whispered, barley a breath.

Emma was noticeably uncomfortable around Shadow, Shane's companion. But she did her best to stand up when greeted. The person before her seemed younger than herself in voice alone but his features were unrecognizable for the mask he wore. His equipment and manner deemed him a mercenary.

"Ah, yes. Erm, ...hello? Is there something I can help you with?"

She was rather nervous and eyed the canine suspiciously. Clark was still away nearer the tree line and didn't seem to notice.

The woman was obviously uncomfortable with the hound so Shane decided to do something

Shane made a high pitched whistle, and Shadow instantly bolted off into the woods.

"You help me madam....no, I have come to simply introduce myself. I am Shane Zion, Mercenary, it is a pleasure to meet you." Shane looked at her.

"Who is the man you were with, i've been watching you two."

He had found watching people is the best way to feel comfortable.

She relaxed with a sigh as Shadow took his leave. That was much better.

"Ah. Well hello there Master Zion. I'm Emma. It's... Well. It is unique to make your acquaintance. I wasn't expecting company."

She turned slightly to motion towards her male companion.

"My companion is called Clark and together we had hoped to brave this massive citadel you see before you. We're scholars. After a manner. Just looking for books and the like. Nothing too incredulous. Hehe. I suppose."

The Jedi female straighten her composure. She wasn't used to talking with strange warriors.

"Is there something we can help you with, Masked One?"
