Left. Abandoned. But not betrayed. There wasn't even enough time to feel a bond to have broken. Leo sat in the room he was givin as a Padawan, curled up on his bed.

He had hope. For the first time since Contruum was taken by the Sith and his parents were killed, he had hope. A white haired man had found him and took him to a Jedi enclave on Kashyyyk. He had been Mantic Dorn's apprentice all of two days, then he went and told him he was leaving the order. Leo didn't even get robes, or one lesson. And just like that, Dorn was gone. Mantic said that he told the other masters to look after his padawans, but... no one had come...

Still in his black jumpsuit, he pulled the hood it provided over his head, and started to cry. What would he do now?

Je'daii had gotten a message but with her several datapads and several addresses used for accessing the databanks when the allotted time ran out she could work over some of the things. Her hands going over the gear while she was holding it close and had her cloak as she slid on the bodyglove and boots. The special gloves worked as needed while the jedi knight was movign with her saber on her before she set her one book on her thigh. Pulling her hair back and moving to find this padawan while she loked in and the zeltron made a small face. She squinted speaking for a moment until she was standing tall and ready keeping her cloak closed. "You were one of Dorn's padawan's correct?"

Leo had his back to the door, weeping. He just had no clue what to do, where to go. Or even what to EAT. He was alone now, just like he was before... Then... he heard something.

Did someone speak to him? He propped himself on his elbow, turning his head to see the doorway to see a woman standing there. "H-huh..?" His eyes were bloodshot from the tears, and he didn't look the prettiest in general. He took a second to think and recall a few seconds back of what he had heard.

"O-oh, yeah... I was..." He turned his body slowly and swung his legs over the bed, sitting on it. "A... are you going to take me to my new master? " he asked hesitated. He didn't want to get his hopes up again. He was angry at Dorn for leaving him like this, and he didn't like feeling angry...

She looked at the boy remaining neutral in her facial expression but staying there in the cloak while she motioned with her head. "No I am to be your new master." She stood there ready for anything and looked over most of it with rapt attentionwalking towards the other rooms. "Jedi do not cry." She had much to teach and her tome on her hip with all the rules and regulations she had learned and studied from her master before the woman left the order. this gave her plenty to do while entering one of the training rooms and bringing her eyes back to the door to see if he was following.

She... she was to be his new master? Finally someone came! At her comment about crying he quickly wiped his tears away. "S-... sorry..." He looked back up and saw her cloak billow out behind her as she left the room.

He quickly hopped off of the bed and followed to one of the training rooms. "We... Aren't going to leave yet?" He asked. He thought they were going to leave Kashyyk and go to.... wherever the Jedi Headquarters were. But, I guess she had other plans.

Looking at him while he was ready to go she stood there for a moment. "We have no reason to, the temple will be there and there isn't much you can learn there you can't here." She said it casually bringing a gloved hand out from the cloak as she unclasped the neck of the cloak letting it drop to the floor and to the side. She stood there in the bodyglove. The sasori bodysuit and boots with the jedi crushgaunts were an important thing before she pulled the tome off of her thigh while she opened the cover looking at the padawan. "This book is from the library, all the rules, regulations and tenets of the jedi are in it. Read it and learn it, we are very structured and there is no room for joking or playing around."

Leo nodded at what she said. It made perfect sense. Why would learning of the force be different over there than here? He just watched as she shed her cloak, letting it drop to the floor. Next, she grabbed the book at her side, opening the cover.

Well, he could logically assume there wouldn't be no joking as far as the order was concerned, but.. "What about between Jedi and Jedi? Is there joking then?" He wasn't trying to be a smartass or anything, it was an actual question.

As he asked this, he would walk closer and reach out for the book. She had just said for him to read it, so he assumed it was to read at that moment.

She looked at him for a moment more like a school teacher. "I suppose on rare instances joking with another jedi is permittable. I have never found much reason for it." Handing him over the book to him as she stood there and crossed her arms. "You are to learn it and have a report on the early history of the jedi from the Bendu to the force wars tomorrow." For now though it was lesson time and her padawan was inexperienced. "Now tell me what you have learned so far and I can better understand what type of situation I have gotten myself into."

Leo was too interested in the book to see her gaze. He did however hear her talk about a report, and at that he looked up, confused. Then she confused him further with talking about what he had learned so far. "A report? Wh-.. how? And as for what I have learned.. I... I know how to do this.." He raised an arm aimed at a wall and connected with the force, sending a push towards it. It wouldn't be super strong, but it would be stronger than a normal boy of the young age of thirteen should be able to do.

He lowered his arm and looked back to her. "Other than that.. Dorn hadn't taught me anything."

Looking at the boy show his stuff the jedi knight raised an eyebrow seeing more. "I see, well I will begin work on a lesson plan. You have a report to write and I expect it to be done." She looked at him and motioned for him to go and begin while pulling out a datapad to go over it and plan the lesson plan complete with breaks to stretch the legs or hands. All of the important things while she was standing there ready for the padawan.

Leo knew he was motioned to leave, but... He didn't want to be left alone. So he just awkwardly sat down on the ground where he was, and opened the book.

The contents were hard for him to understand. He didn't get a full education before the Sith took Contruum, so just understanding history and reading words were a little difficult for him. But he pressed on, trying to gather as much information as he could for this "report" he had to give. He might not understand what it all meant but... he could get enough to at least talk about it.

If he didn't give a good enough report, would he be left again? Just like his father left him and his mother to board a Contruum Navy ship, only to die? Just like Dorn had left the Jedi and him? These questions swirled in his mind, but he did have one partial answer. That this time, it was up to him on whether or not his new mentor would leave. And he wouldn't let that happen.

Je'daii moved outwards as she let the padawan work and she went to her room with her work on some of the things. She was sitting down and giving him time while adjusting her own notepad to make a lesson plan to teach him as she sat back. "Now lets see what you can do." A smile on her face while she could let her hair down and began going over some of the things getting the packs of lessons that she could use to help him out as well as herself for making a proper one. A small holo emitter with the AI for the archives appearing as she spoke. "Quiet I want what records you can get me for early lesson plans and some of the recordings." The AI nodded its head as the information was appearing and she found plenty she could work with.

Leo could tell she was doing something, but it wasn't his business. If it was, she would tell him. Until then, he would just read the book. He had no idea what a lot of things were, but he kept reading. and reading. and would be reading until she gave him something to do, or talked to him. She was the teacher after all.

If he had one question, it would be when he was going to make his own lightsaber. But, maybe that was only given to students who make good history reports?

Je'daii remained there while she could sense the padawan was working on things and stayed with most of her attention on the datapads, she was going over what they had to work with in raw talent for the padawan... As well she had other lessons being brought up that she could work with to teach him. More of her thoughts though were on some f the things Quiet was giving her information wise from the archives as she spoke. "Padawan what do you know about some of the crystal caves here on voss?"

He looked up as she said "Padawan" and cocked his head. "Crystal caves? I thought we were on the planet of Kashyyk.. And.. I'm guessing they are full of crystals?" He tried his best. He honestly had no clue. But then an idea sparked into his head. "But! Maybe this book could tell me?" He looked around for an index or table of contents, looking for Voss, and crystal caves. But, he couldn't find anything.. "No.. Um.." He scratched his head. "Do... does it contain lightsaber crystals?" He took a guess.

"Yes we are n Kashyyyk but that does not mean you shouldn't have knowledge of other worlds." She raised an eyebrow turning her head to look at him. The answer though was a correct guess as he seemed to make it. Which saddened her a little, this was after all something that was right in the name and he said it like he was worried to get it wrong. She was wondering what [member="Mantic Dorn"] would have said as she brought up the datapad to look over it. "Yes there are crystals for lightsabers in the crystals caves padawan.. but please speak with confidence there it no wrong answer only things you do not know and that is why we have books and an archives. You can learn everything about the jedi and the galaxy from the comfort of your quarters."

A surge of joy swept through him as he got the answer correct. His eyes lit up a bit, and he started to get a smile. He felt that if he was a dog, his tail would be wagging right now. But then she looked disappointed.. and he learned that it was because he didn't speak with confidence. "I-, I'm so-" He stopped himself. No, he needed to be confident.. "I'm sorry, Master." He straightened his back. "I-.. I would like that very much. Er, Master."

She raised her eyebrow looking at him with her eyebrow still raised and pushed out from the desk standing up quickly while she straightened her outfit. Keeping it smooth and ready for anything before she was pushing attention on a few of the things. "Good then we can move forward now make sure you have your report ready. You can have the rough draft and should be prepared. "Tell me about the Bendu." She was ready for it while bringing her datapad and setting it in her cloak while holding the tome on her thigh to use and eview it.

"They...." He tried to recall the information he had been reading up on. "They were a group of non-violent monks who came up with the symbol that The Republic used a long time ago, along with the Sith Empire directly after them, and so one so forth. It seemed to be the symbol for anyone in rule, but it signifies the unification of the galaxy and the force." He waited for a reaction from his mentor.
