Training the Future

Sear

Wisecracking Goodman
[member="Desmond Verd"]

Sear was given a self-sustaining amount of credits for the day, to and from the destination given to him from Desmond. He didn't know the man, know where he was going, or how long he'd be. All he knew was that the old man that made him had paid this individual to train Sear, and he was willing to take the training. Being a free clone, and not inhibited by any obedient programming, he still felt sure why not since it was a free lifestyle and he'd have very little work to do after the training. Forgive the man if he comes off as lazy to Desmond, he's not what his original had become in the old mans army, but he could be... in the future.

He rode a shuttle to the location, and thought about making a sign that said 'Desmond' on it, which gave him a chuckle, but hopefully the man would be at the starport so he wouldn't have to become a detective for the day.

Feriae Junction
New Junction

The sea air was crisp, the salt strong on his tongue. He stood, watching the ships leave the New Junction Grand Terminal, their repuslors and engines causing an uproar and gulls calling in the distance. He took a long drag of his cigar and let the smoke escape his lips. He took a look at the stub and frowned, flicking it to the ground. Shriek-Hawks weren't what he had expected them to be at all, but they had offered him this job and he would have been stupid not to take it.

"Where is that boy..." he muttered, turning around to watch as the many tourists, citizens, and military personnel exited the transport skiff from the docks. He squinted and looked at the wrist mounted data pad to be sure. He had spotted the young man, a little taller than he thought, but that wouldn't affect anything...At least not today. Walking up to the skiff he approached the man and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Sear?" [member="Sear"]

Sear was lighting up a cigarette as the skiff was coming near its stop, staring out the window to check out this new planet and put it in his list of discoveries in his blank life. As the skiff came to its stop and began unloading people, he was one of the first to hop off. Not in anticipation for training really, but it's a waste of time just to sit in the back because oh whiny about training. Just then a man tapped his shoulder, something less than aggressive he expected in the middle of nowhere, he treated it the same. Slowly he continued walking until he was out of the way of the others and turned around to face the man, taking out his cigarette and reaching his other hand out. "If you know me, you must be the guy I'm supposed to meet. Nice job on finding me so quick. Sear - personal bodyguard, commander, and you're supposed to make the commando part at the end pretty real. So you're Desmond?" He asked, taking the cigarette back in to get a puff before pulling it away again.
