"Hey rookie, you ready?" It was a simple question, but one that Aerith felt was rather stupid to ask. Of course she was ready, she was born ready. This was just a training exercise after all, but there was always a risk of something going catastrophically wrong; though she doubted that prospect very much. "You ask me that again and I'll punch a hole in your helmet." She replied rather curtly, finding this whole ride in the transport to be rather dull. She might have been a new blood, but in her mind she was the most dangerous one on the shuttle; unless her entire squad was wired with the same tech as her, in which case she'd stand corrected.

She could see the drop site below from the view port to her left, and even with the fething peripheral vision of her helmet she could make out what was going on down there; though to be fair she was cheating, given the implants and all. The Squad leader began to bark out orders she didn't care about, but her 'upgrades' recorded what he was saying anyways. It was annoying to have all this additional hardware just shoved into your being, but in a way it was a heck of an advantage she had over the common grunt. Her eyes lazed about looking to the city below, and the shuttleport that they were in the process of moving towards. She gave the instructor a moment of her time, just enough to make out 'target' and 'shuttle'.

Yep, this lined up. Holding her massive REC chain gun, it felt like a bit of overkill, but from what her squad leader had been yelling about the 'target' was a pretty big target on the criminal network. Maybe she was wrong about this. She could feel the vibrations of the ship change, and the hum of the engines indicated that their shuttle was now hovering over the port. It was going to be one of those raids wasn't it. She rose to her feet, chain gun in hand as she attached the rope to her waist, and looked to the rest of her squad. "Deploy!" She heard a voice shout, and in a matter of moments every one of her squad was clearing the shuttle, skimming down the rope and crashing through the side windows of the port; except for the one fat bastard who was now stuck in the frame.

Aerith felt the glass shatter around her, could see the tiny shimmer shades scatter past her visor, just in time to hit the ground and level her weapon towards the ramp. She readjusted her position, her blue eyes turning a slight tinge of red as she searched the room for a target. She could see her stuck squad mate still struggling to work his way out of the frame, and ignored his cries for help over the comm. Several of her other members had taken positions around the room, but the dormant dummy shuttle sat unmoving, no change to the situation had occurred yet. Unknown to her, the individuals at the command post had a great deal of surprises to throw at them, as idle hands lingered over several of the 'curve-balls' that had been added to the exercise.

Agrippa Agrippa (Get as zanny as you want with the curve balls)
