Training and opening one's mind to more

Orrin was present on felucia. The reason behind it was that he felt at peace there. The exotic flora was something he admired. Even with how he felt somewhat out of place with his technological armor and even the cybernetics that were placed into him. The point of him being there was a training session. He wanted to hone his skills with weapons as well as within the Force itself. One thing he liked to do was to watch some of the natives of the planet and see the goings on of their rituals and mannerisms and learn from that as much as he could. Here was a place that Orrin would take both his helmet and his mask off. Anyone that could see him here would see his entire face. What he was doing at that moment was meditating. His legs folded and his arms resting in his lap as he was connecting with the force. Losing himself in it for a moment to truly connect with it. Though sometime after he had connected he went actively searching. Searching for someone whom would take the time to travel from wherever they were to meet him.

That too could have been a training session. Calling out to anyone that would actually answer the request. For Orrin and that being to actually take the time to speak on their differences with how they see the force or even some of the lesser view differences between them. A discussion, or demonstration on weapons technique or even a point of technique within that of the force itself. After taking the time to reach out he'd sink back into himself. losing that stronger connection between himself and the force that he had just established and would rise up from his seated position of meditation. Removing his twin blades from over his right shoulder and would go through a kata as a renewed form of meditation. His movements were slow, but precise in execution as he viewed himself as a form of slow moving water. Able to flow freeely and without inhibition as he simply washed over anything that may have hindered him from his kata. That was the course of action he'd engage himself in uuntil he tired of it, or someone showed up.

((Ok. Obviously it's open. Not just to force users, but to anyone that wants to pop up and hang on the thread. Obviously as far as story goes, force users would be more receptive. Training can come from simple conversation to a duel and combat demonstration. It all works in trying to expandcharacter story and progression.))

She was silent as she could be in her approach. Orrin had been training her in the ways of the force, or at least as best he could teach her. She wasn't born into his tradition but she was learning the ways of the Zenkai tradition. She was trying to learn as best she could, but it took her unlearning a lot from the military life that she had come so acustomed to living. But at this moment she was airborne. The hiss of her boot mounted repulsor rockets would be the only indicator of her presence as she was lining her shot up. Her right arm was held out in front of her and her left arm was used to hold it steady as she lined up her shot as perfectly as shecould. And then in one motion and slight jerk of her right arm, she'd be sending off a mini proton rocket towards Orrin as he performed his Kata. If he was as adept as he made himself seem, he'd be able to do something about it. If not,, well....it sucked to be him then wouldn't it?

Yes, it would suck. But his senses were expanded through the Force. A Danger sense, if you will, kicked in and had alerted him to the intent of attack. His head snapped up and saw the missile coming. Instinct kicked in and he went sailing backwards through the air. Performing a backward flip with a combined effort of his own leg strength and that of his powered armor as he went leaping backwards a good thirty feet. Sliding a bit from the weight of himself and his suit coupled with inertia and direction. To help in his stopping prematurely he had the fang in his left hand sunk into the ground, acting as a brake while it cut into the very earth. Leaving a line in the wake of his crouched backwards slide before he came to a hault.

The resulting explosion was probably pretty cool, but he wouldn't really get a chance to see it. Just the resulting fire that had started after the point of combustion around all of the flora in a localized area. His eyes were centered on Amra now in her aerial state while he stood up. His fangs would rotate forward one time in sync with each other as he'd start to move towards the fire. The brain box feeding him a course of action and then expanding on that course with other options as he exhaled slowly through his nose. While he walked he centered himself. Focusing on the opponent before him before he'd stop about six feet from the fire. His left arm rising up and pointing the tip of his Zenkai fang sword at Amara as if he were waiting on her next attack.

Daxton felt the invitation through the Force and was intrigued, doubly more so when he arrived, the impressive figure in highly reflective purple and green armor arriving just as the explosive detonated. Now this was interesting. A sparring match perhaps? Silently he watched them with arms crossed to see how the two combatant would perform.

"Okay. If that's the way he wants to play it."

And that was what got her to drop her arms. Though not out of defeat so much out of her wanting too take hold of the twin blaster pistols at her thighs. Removing them andholding the out with Orrin as the obvious target and then she'd just let her fingers continually squeeze back on the triggers. Firing off a barrage of blast bolts from her barrels to attempt to try and damage the guy she was suppose to be taking the time to learn how to hone her force powers from. Though in her mind if he couldn't hande a simple military assault with her just using blasters and other tech, maybe looking into her growing affiniy with the force wasn't as a high a priority as Orrin had made it seem.

And that would be the point where his swords would become whirling flashes. His arms would move back and forth with a great point of dexterity and precision as his attention was on Amara. each time he brought his swords up it was to deflect the blaster bolts out and away from his form. His swords were covered in his own energy, having employed the technique of Force Weapon as he'd be blocking the shots and sending them off and into the ground. Causing something of a small dust cloud at first to kick up, but the more shots that were fired the more he'd take note of the growing cloud. After the dust was kicked up enough for his taste he rushed into it. Holdinghis breath as he'd thrust the sword in his left hand out into the ground. From there his left hand would go behind him as he'd continue with the employ of the Force. Manipulating the liquid metal container in his belt and moving a small portion out of the container. Since it had yet to hit the air, it was still in aform that could be manipulated. Three small throwing darts would be formed out of the portion that he had summoned up, and all three were headed directly at Mara's legs in an attempt to throw her balance off and thus mess her flight stability up and force her to land. Willingly or of the crashing variety., Either or.

The blasters didn't seem to be doing the trick. So instead for the time being she'd place her blasters back at her sides on her thighs. She watched as he dashed into the exppanding dust cloud, though for what reason was beyond her. The small glint of the three small darts didn't escape her notice though. As she would twist her body to the right half way and in turn would use the thrusters on her boots to try and stabalize herself in the air. Though she was under the impression that she didn't have much of an advantage in the air. So she'd land. Nice and slow so as to keep an eye on the dust cloud that he had placed himself in. Though the dust cloud would be dissipating at this point. Without the continued assault, there was nothing to kick up the dust. Her missile didn't work, her bl;asters didn't work. So she'd figure she'd go about taking things in the direction of close quarters. He already had his swords out,, so she removed her own Zenkai fangs from the mag plating on the back of her armor and would attempt to take a readied stance. Holding her left arm out in front of her with the sword in that hand tilted somewhat to the right so she could see in front of her, while her right arm was drawn closer to her. The blade held upright as she bent her legs somewhat for balance.

Orrin had stopped holding his breath as the dust settled. Having taken up the sword meant for his left hand once more as he was standing with his left side tilted and exposed towards Amara. Both of hs lbades would be pointing towards the ground at this moment a he was going about stalking around her. Moving in a somewhat slow pace as he was going about seeing if she would keep her eyes onhim or if she would attempt to feel him out, or simply keep in the same stance. A quarter through his tsalking placed him on her left side. That's where he'd stop. His feet digging into the ground for a moment before he'd explode forward towards her. Holding his left blade out in front of him before he'd clear the distance and lower his left blade. As his left blade was lowering his left blade as his right was coming in for the actual attack. An overhand technique was used as he was aiming to place it squarely into her head and cleave that open.

She was watching him as closely as she could. She wasn't feeling him out with the Force just yet. She wasn't sure if she had the ability to just grasp that concept. At least right now. But she'd switch stances, or rather adjust hers to make sure that he was always facing her. When he exploded out to attack her, her natural instinct was to just shoot him down. But with the blades in her hands she reacted as best she could. Placing them up in the form of an X above her head so as to block the oncoming attack aimed at her head. This was the point where she'd depend on the power of her servos and use them in a counter to push him back. Giving a bit of a war cry as she would shove her own blades back after his single blade met with both of hers. afterwards she'd retake her initial fighting stance with those blades again. Feeling a bit better about her abilities now with those weapons. Though she still wasn't exactly comfortable with them just yet.

To be quite honest he was very proud of her and what she did. She pushed him back a decent ways and he'd roll backwards and from there he'd spring backwards and up to his feet. Slashing his blades through the air and then turning so that only his left side was exposed to her.

"That was a very good first step. At least your prowess with your blades has come along. Now. Start to try and feel me out. Quiet and clear your mind. Don't think, just do. Think of your senses expanding. Don't just use your eyes,. If you need to, close your eyes and let it flow into you. "

"Look. Just because all of that comes easy to you doesn't mean that it comes easy to everybody else. You grew up training in how to do all of that stuff. I didn't. I grew up trained as a soldier. Blasters and bombs, not mind over matter. Hell. I've come up against a few Force users, and still have yet to see some of the stuff from them I've seen you do. Who the hell walks through a wall? I know you're supose to be the Black Spirit and all, but sometimes you make me wonder wif you're really some sort of ghost or something. You really don't make noise, no one ever really sees you eat, you walk through walls and sometimes the way you just know things is just flat out creepy. Now you tell me I'm suppose to sense you? How? Close my eyes? Fine. I'll try it."

After her rant she'd actually relax her stance and close her eyes. Attempting to calm down as much as she could as she concentrated on her heart rate. Feeling it slow down as she'd then attempt to reconstruct the area in her mind. From there she wasn't sure what she was suppose to be doing. But hopefullly it'd jus t come to her and that part of the lesson would be over.
