SPECIAL FEATURES

• Constructed specifically to be used against Force users. Namely, the slugs fired from the weapon. As such, the following points in the construction of the slugs provide these benefits.
  
  • The rounds overall construction is formed as a Jacketed round. Known quite readily as a "Full Metal Jacket" where the round is made of a "Core" and a "Jacket." However, the main purpose of this is to have a "Hollow Point" construction. Like its name says, there is no "point" or rounded nose of the projectile. So when impacting a target, the round would typically produce a "mushroom" effect when striking. This prevents over-penetration in most cases. However, when used with the specific components of this round, The desired effect is different. Where the Cortosis jacket can be shed or sheered off when striking the target, and thus allowing the core of Void Stone to be introduced. Thus, when striking a flesh target. The round will mushroom. In some cases even breaking apart into shrapnel, so that the void stone core will be left in the target. Thus dampening and even removing possible usages of the force.
  • The Application of a Cortosis Jacket was chosen as not only a lightsaber resistant material. It was chosen as a softer metal so that it would allow the mushrooming effect of the hollow point round. Another benefit is the chance to short out lightsabers should a Saber wielder attempt to use it to block the projectile.
  • The main purpose of the Hollow Point rounds was to introduce a force user, from range, to Void Stone. So that when struck by one or more rounds to prevent their force usage. As such, the rounds themselves are highly resistant to interference from the force. Applications such as Telekinesis, Balistikinesis, and even Force Shields can be resisted.
• Firearm Construction is taken heavily into consideration. Attempting to make a small and light format for which can be wielded and kept on a soldiers person without weighing them down like other firearms. Weighing barely more than a standard pistol, but also still able to send hate down range. As such, Using Mandalorian Steel to be a lighter but still durable replacement for Beskar, as well as amplifying the magnetic coils by upgrading them in a couple different ways. Specifically using Haysian Smelt to increase conductivity of the coils to fire rounds at hyper sonic speeds. (Mach 5 - 3836.35 MPH - 1715m/s) However, due to this extreme speed of the weapon and would normally cause the weapon to be extremely loud, application of the Verpine Shatter Gun construction being naturally silent, as well as a flashback suppressor help to mitigate on where the firing is coming from.

DESCRIPTION
For many generations, Slugthrowwers, and other projectile based weaponry have been used for the extensive purpose of combating against Force Users. Namely attempting to get around their usage of a Lightsaber, as well as their near-god-like powers of the force. Able to push or deflect bullets away. Even control them and send them back to the user. It has made it difficult to fight them on a more even ground. While in the past applications of Ysalamiri Lizards in nutrient frames were used to shut off the force, it still required an individual to be within close proximity to the Force User. Opening up the chance of having to fight them toe to toe. With a Lightsaber in their hands, making it much more difficult for anyone not able to wield such weapons.

Tarre Priest has extensive knowledge of how to fight and take down Force Users. Having done a couple raids on old Jedi Temples during his Death Watch Days, and even fighting some between his time in the Enclave and Mandalorian Empire. As such, given to him was the task of providing more Anti-Force User technology so that one might even the playing field against Force Users.

The very first idea came to mind. Void Stones. A meteorite that can be introduced as a compound for the core of a projectile. And what better way than to make the projectile stay stuck inside a fleshy target? A round specifically meant to dump all its kinetic energy into the impact so that it wouldn't over-penetrate through a target. Thus, the application of dumping rounds into a target, while possibly not lethal should they miss vital organs, can still dramatically change the fight. Firing rounds that were resistant to the force and should they hit their target, further stop any other attempts of using the force. Now for the lightsaber.

Lightsabers using plasma and their electrical components to hold a "plasma blade" require a circuit loop. By destroying that loop, the weapon can be forcibly shut off. Preventing potential usage of the lightsaber as a blocking or parrying weapon. Even should the weapon be fortified against these rounds, and resist the capability to be shut off, The chance of the round impacting the weapon and causing damage, or simply passing the blade and into the target provides a well needed fight against the lightsaber jockeys.

Finally, specifically constructing the weapon out of Verpine Shatter Gun components, making it an light firearm that can send hate down range in a larger volume to overwhelm force users by a hail of slugs traveling at hypersonic speeds. That was the ticket. A hail storm of slugs being shot directly at the enemy to render their force potential null and void. As such, it was very easy to name this type of weapon.
