PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Torva is somewhat tall and has a curvy, feminine figure while also sporting toned muscle from physical training and years of moderate labor. She has slightly wavy, copper red hair with blonde highlights scattered throughout, that falls to her mid to lower back in length. She has bright blue eyes, pale skin that is covered in freckles. She sports pink burn scars across the upper left portion of her body, healed injuries from being burned on her homeworld of Ketaris.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Torva is a somewhat shy, introverted individual, especially around people she doesn’t know. Once she forms connections or bonds, however, she opens up a little more and can be carefree, fun, and adventurous. Internally, however, Torva feels insecure and like a failure. She struggles at integrating with others (especially amongst other Mandalorians), but she is willing to work hard whenever she is needed. She holds duty and loyalty to family very highly, and once she decides someone is worthy of her trust, she will give the clothes off her back for that person. Due to her past traumas however, it is hard for her to make friends.

Belief wise, Torva didn’t really believe in anything prior to the Mandalorians stepping in and rescuing her, and the Mand’alor himself taking her under his wing. Since agreeing to become a Mandalorian herself, Torva has slowly begun to adopt the ways of her new people, doing her best to live by the Creed and the Resol’nare (even if she feels like she fails at it all the time). She is slowly adopting a similar belief/mindset as her adopted Father, Aether Verd - belief in the Manda, mainly. She is still doing her own soul searching, however, as being assimilated into the Mandalorian culture and way of life has put her on a pathway of physical, mental, and spiritual renewal.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

▲ STRENGTH: Courageous: despite her shyness and introverted nature, Torva has a heart of courage that pushes her to step out of her comfort zones, and do things she otherwise wouldn’t do.

▲ STRENGTH: Kind-Hearted: Torva cares deeply for those that she gives her trust, and her heart, to. She is respectful and kind to all Mandalorians, as she has been taught to recognize them all as her kin, even if she is shy around most of them.

▲ STRENGTH: Skilled: Torva comes from a background of tailoring, and can make garments and other items of great quality. She also knows how to cook homemade meals, and has a keen eye for jewelry making - hobbies and passions she hopes to utilize to give back to her new people.

▼ WEAKNESS: Self-Doubt: Torva struggles with personal identity, doubting herself and her abilities, capabilities, or even that others around her want her around

▼ WEAKNESS: Trauma: Torva is plagued by nightmares and certain situations can trigger relapses into traumatic events in her life, which can cause her to shut down completely or turn violently aggressive. This is a major concern if she finds herself in any sort of conflict where fire is involved.

▼ WEAKNESS: Reclusive: despite her courage and kind hearted nature, Torva tends to hide herself away, often needing to be pushed to interact or integrate with others. This tends to alienate her from the rest of her kin, or making meaningful relationships with others

HISTORY

Born in Ketaris to a middle working class family, Torva was the youngest of three children, with an older brother and sister. Her brother worked with her father, craftsmen by trade, and she and her older sister helped their mother with her tailoring business. Life was normal for them, good even - in a galaxy filled with chaos.

And then, everything changed.

How it happened exactly, still isn’t known. But the galaxy itself shifted, hyperlanes collapsed, and whole systems vanished. It was a time of uncertainty and fear reigned across the galaxy. But for the people living on Ketaris, things progressed fairly normally - until that changed too.

They came from the oceans, sleeping giants awakened by the strange galactic shifting. Destruction befell where they tread and so many lives were broken, shattered, lost.

In the blink of an eye, Torva went from a happy young woman with dreams and aspirations of carrying on her family’s business - to having no one, and nothing to call her own. Nothing except for tragedy, trauma, and a family legacy drowned in blood and fire.

Ketaris would have been lost, had it not been for them. The Warriors from the Sky, bound by a Creed she didn’t understand. Torva would have been in awe, had she not been fighting for her very life. But in the end, she remained - though her family’s living district was gone. Now she joined the refugees, mute and hollow, damaged but not quite unbroken.

It would be the closing of one chapter, and the beginning of another for her. She just wasn’t yet aware of it.

In stepped the Mandalorians, under the guidance of their Mand’alor. Torva and the rest of the survivors of her city were cared for, but it quickly became clear that there was nothing left on Ketaris for Torva. In a twist of fate, or perhaps the Will of the Manda, the Mand’alor himself extended a hand to the young woman, embracing her as one of his own and providing a new life and pathway for her, adopting her as his Foundling.

Now Torva lives on Mandalore, learning all she can about her new people, her new family, and what it truly means to be a Mandalorian herself.
