+ Hardsuit Training - Torc is trained and proficient in the use of industrial style hardsuits and equipment.
- Cybernetics - While he has some resistance to ionic energy far as his prosthetic and wetware goes, it is primarily industrial minded as opposed to military-grade weaponry.

- Gambler - Torc enjoys gambling and frequently plays card games, primarily Sabaac.
APPEARANCE:
Torc stands at about 6ft, when not in his uniform he can typically be found wearing a brown leather jacket with a white, oil-stained tank top or a clean shirt.
His right shoulder is covered in extensive scarring and sporadic burn marks cover most of his body.
BIOGRAPHY:
Torc was born in the Kuat System and had a privileged upbringing primarily due to his father's involvement with orbital shipyards, where he worked as a consultant, advising local corporations on void craft architecture and supporting project management. This, however, also meant Torc spent little to no time with his busy parent, a frustration he maintains to this day.
As he matured, Torc enrolled at the academy to study engineering at his father's behest. Where he took an interest in theoretical research, after impressing his officers with a research paper on new shielding technologies he was offered an opportunity aboard the research vessel Event Horizon. His father wishing him to instead take on the family business, forbid it but preferring to pursue his own interests, Torc accepted the offer.
The Event Horizon was as with any research vessel working with experimental bleeding edge technologies. Inevitably, accidents happen. During a routine experiment on the Supermatter reactor, the core triggered a catastrophic reaction on the main fuel line, the ship was heavily damaged and many of its crew left dead or wounded.
Torc himself suffered significant damage to his right arm. Despite this, he worked diligently with the survivors to secure supplies and oxygen in the ship's citadel. When rescue arrived it came not from the company but Rimward Rescue Service.
By then, however, his injuries had grown more severe, resulting in the amputation of his right arm and its eventually prosthetic replacement. Not easily deterred, Torc completed his studies at the age of 20, after which he applied to join the Rimward Rescue Service as a junior officer.
At the age of 24, he was given the opportunity of promotion to serve aboard the RRS Frontiers Hope as a lieutenant, a commission he accepted.
