A messenger would arrive at the PharmaTech headquarters at Fondor, with a flimsi message in an envelope for one executive Felicity Simmons. Chances were it would be intercepted by a secretary before it reached there, and then passed onto another executive, perhaps [member=Saffron], who was perceived to have more time to deal with these sorts of things. The envelope would pass all sorts of tests, not rigged with any explosives or chemicals or any other such nastyness, and would be altogether unremarkable, save for the fact that it was a piece of flimsi in an envelope in 840 something ABY. When it would be opened it would be revealed to contain a handwritten note, or perhaps a tentacle or claw written note. One could never be quite sure after all.

To Whom it May Concern,

I wish you good day. I know holomail is more convention, and mine is attached to this letter, but I thought a written note would convey how serious I am about this project and ensuring it’s completion.

I have heard of the efforts of your parent and sister companies in the rehabilitation and reformation of Corellia and New Citadel Station and find myself impressed. The Project I wish to undergo is nothing on that scale, but I find myself in need of some scrubbing. Trevel’ka is an overmined world filled with smog and pollution of the worst order, often causing issues to it’s inhabitants. I’d like to work with you to find a way to bring Trevel’Ka from a Type II to a Type I atmosphere, starting with a district around 500 kilometers in radius as a sort of proof-of-concept before moving onto the rest of the planet.

I know previous ventures into Trevel’ka have been, shall we say, less than fruitful. Because of this I am willing to spearhead the efforts and funding, and have taken measures to ensure the projects protection. No scavengers or gang activity will give your employees trouble, of that I can assure you. I am able to discuss further details at one of your locations, or if you want to do a examination of the site you can meet me at my office on Gavaroth Spaceport. Breathmasks are of course recommended.

Hoping for a wonderful business relationship,

Rekali the Hutt

“What is that?” A feminine inquisitive voice would call over to Saffron. The blonde woman sitting on the desk would lift her lashes, glancing up to catch the violet eyes of the leggy Zeltron heading her direction.

“A love letter?” Aeri Vyn would quip, a half snort at the rather quaint thought of such a thing. The woman deliberately gave a wag of her brows, draping herself across the chair that sat in front of Saffron. They were in the midst of reviewing the latest update on the progress of the last set of botanical flora for air purification capabilities. Corellia was at the center for their research on terraforming and reconstructing razed worlds. Much of this was thanks to the Ithorians and Morodin employees who were at the forefront of the advancing technology. In combination with green power initiatives, they were making headway; and it appeared others in the ‘verse were noticing.

“Not quite,” Saffron would reply, a thoughtful expression settling over her delicate features.

“It is a request for assistance in scrubbing the pollution on a small patch at Trevel’ka.” she began, leaning back in her chair. Blonde brows knitted together.

“From Rekali the Hutt.”

That bit of information had Aeri widen her eyes, the woman playing with the Aatrox medallion around her neck.

“Sounds like an opportunity. We have already done much here in Corellia.”

The blonde gave a nod in agreement.

“He is requesting an audience at a location of our choosing or to go directly to the site.”

“I could go.” for Aeri, everything was about travel and having some fun. However, she was more apt to flirt than actually conduct business. Well, no, that was giving the Zeltron too little praise. She did well, but odds were Aeri would do better here on Corellia.

“It is fine. I have worked along Silver Sanctum and Levantine Sanctum territory. I am familiar with Trevel’ka.” the blonde replied.

“I’ll travel there.”

Saffron had every desire to be prompt and personable to [member="Rekali the Hutt"]. As such, instead of replying with a filmsi letter or a transmission, the young Companion sent a holographic transmission at the frequency provided in the letter.

Were the Hutt be directed the call, upon accepting the shimmering blue visage of Saffron would greet him with a soft smile.

A bit uncanny, considering the young clone was strikingly similar to the Queen of Eshan. She would dip her head in humble greeting.

“Namaste, Honerable Rekali the Hutt.” Hazel eyes would rise.

“I am pleased to have received your thoughtful letter, we at Arceneay Trade are humbled by your praise.”

"Da boss has got a call." Stick, a lanky devaronian comms officer called out to Radok, one of Rekali the Hutt's executives.

"You know I need more information than that Stick." Though there was annoyance in his words little breathed out into his tone, though perhaps it was a threat to do his job a little better. "If you cannot follow instructions it would not be difficult to find someone who can." The Devaronian gulped. That was definitely a threat.

"Fa- Farmtech? Farmatech? Look official. Channel looks like it's from the Core." The Devaronian answered. "Someone owe us money?"

"Don't worry about the details Stick. Just patch it through to the Hutt's room." The Vaathkree decreed, and the Devaronian transferred the line to Rekali the Hutt's chambers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A call. Radok was overseeing the new comms officer so he figured if it was patched through to his chamber it was important. Taking the call Rekali the Hutt was greeted by a sight one might think concerning, if one had done middling though not extensive research. The Hutt was politically aware enough to know what the Queen of Eshan looked like, and this woman bore a striking resemblance, but he had also done enough research into Arceneau Trade to hear rumors of a woman that bore her visage and yet had no relation.
Or at least no relation that could be proven. Perhaps she was a lost sister or cousin that was a political refugee, or perhaps she was a clone Arceneau was grooming to take her place after a stealthy assassination. Either case didn't really perturb the Hutt, though he was cautious anyways. One should always be cautious when dealing with a new business partner after all.
<And I am humbled by your quick response. I had thought my letter might gain the attention of your company, but I hadn't expected it so soon.> The Hutt spoke in his natural tongue. He could speak basic, albeit accented, but he preferred not to outside the clans. He took that tongue for the benefit of his vod, not his business.
<While I trust your company to be able to do the job I need and I'm ready to negotiate I do think someone should see the sight before final arrangements are made. It is a big job, and I do not wish you to think your company mislead or become overwhelmed.> In most businesses a little fine print was expected, but Trevel'ka had been regarded as an unprofitable hellhole for centuries. If Arceneau Trade decided to neg out of the deal there was little he could do without inciting their legal division, and the last thing any Hutt wanted was to incite lawyers into their personnel affairs.
<Shall we begin then?>
[ Of course, honorable Rekali the Hutt. ] Saffron would say with a soft cordial smile. If anything, most would notice that Saffron's gentle and calming disposition would extend towards the pleasant manner she addressed all.
[ Your invitation to come to Trevel'ka is generous. I would be happy to accept your generosity and personally work alongside you to determine the full breadth of what may be required for such a project. ]
With travel, that meant that she may take about five days to get there. It was near the edge of the Tingal Arm. Even with the current hyperlanes and a fast ship, it still took time to travel from the Core Worlds out to the Arm.
[ I hope that five days travel time may not be a hindrance? ]
The Not-Queen of Eshan continued with gentle tone and subtle body language. She seemed a natural for conversation, business making, though the Hutt was certain any corporate entity in Arceneau Trade would have training for this sort of thing. He would say his people could learn a few things from his demeanor, but his business often required a different style of negotiation. The cold emotionless face of Rekali the Hutt's Vaathkree worker weren't the best for corporate affairs, but they came in handy when interrogating or intimidating others. He wasn't sure he'd ever seen the man show fear in his eyes.
<Five days would be great. We'll arrange for the lodging, food, and breathmasks of you and your crew. Do you require any other accommodations?> The Hutt asked as he made mental notes. One human, perhaps a half dozen analysts of differing species. Assume near-human needs and diets unless otherwise specified. There was a rooming complex on the thirty-seventh floor of the Gavaroth Spaceport that could become a passable impression of a mid-class hotel if adequately prepared. Nothing on world would really pass for luxury quality, but hopefully with these air scrubbers and planetary shielding he could attract that sort of renovation and business.
A small shake of her head would relay the negative.
[ Thank you for your generosity, honorable Rekali the Hutt, but what you have presented is more than enough. I shall have a team join me to ensure proper analysis. Standard accommodations and breath masks would be most welcomed. ]
PharmaTech had a facility on Quesh, where the Type II atmosphere also required masks. Saffron would bring Abo, the Ithorian researcher and Maor Va, head specialist in Type II atmospheres. Both had been pivotal in the terraforming and reconstruction of Corellia.
<We shall eagerly await your arrival.> The Hutt replied, and the call was cut. He made a few calls and ensured that the necessary preparations were made. He'd personally slither through the rooms before they got here, to ensure his commands were followed to the letter. He didn't want his guests to feel unappreciated after all. There were obviously differences in his world than any core world, but leave a positive impression, get people talking about your place, get people to move in. From there new economy comes, which means more money in the hands of his spice addict and more entities to 'contract' protection to.
All in good business.
The accommodations for the Pharmatech/ATC ship would be somewhere between standard and stellar class. If she needed any repairs or refueling they could be taken care of with a simple request. A rodian would be there waiting for them.
"Rekali the Hutt thanks you for your time." He'd say to whoever came over. "If you need time to rest I can show you to your rooms, but otherwise we can meet with the Hutt to begin overviewing the area." He'd continue, as an Aqualish brought over a cart equipped with breathmasks for the typical species of the galactic standard milieu.
Trevel’ka
Five Days Later
Saffron along with her team of six researchers were there to meet with the Rodian. They all had masks provided to them, so when they talked, it came with a slight metallic resonance to it.
"Namaste," the young Companion would greet the associate of Rekali the Hutt. She provided a cordial smile, and gave a small introduction of her team.
"Thank you, we are very honored at our hosts generosity." following along beside the Rodian.
"If we can set our possessions away, then it would be more convenient for the honorable Rekali the Hutt to utilize us for his project. We would be able to get straight to gathering information and moving towards the analysis."
Indeed, Trevel'ka smog was thick. It would streak across the sky with a fine sentiment of debris within it. Certainly something to consider in regards to filtering it out.
As the rodian saw the crew come out already equipped with breath masks he was about to wave the aqualish away but the Pharmatechneciansists wanted to put aside their possessions before joining Therax.
"Yeah yeah, no problem, lemme call a couple guys to give you a little hand." He pulled out his comm and hit the 'talk' button twice. A few of the more muscley sort of galactic milieu would make their way over to the docking bay to help with moving equipment and such, careful to take direction from their guests.
"Your living quarters are three floors up" He said as he pulled out a few datacards. Encrypted signals to open doors and all that. "We've also gotten you a tcouple conference rooms two floors up. One we've taken measures to empty, sterilize, and seal off. It's not perfect, but you should be able to run the small experiment stuff there. The other's got the best holonet access in the facility, and can serve as a normal conference room. If you have any questions my name is Keej, and I can help you when you're not dealing with the Hutt."
Keej would show them where to go while a few guys of the tougher looking variety helped them get their stuff moved. When they were ready Keej would take them to Rekali the Hutt.
"You have our gratitude, Keej" Saffron would tell the Rodian, her voice slightly muffled and with a metallic ring to it due to the rebreather. Had it not been on he'd be able to catch her smile.
They each took their encrypted datacards, passing them across all of the researchers and scientists.
"Perfect," Saffron stated at the end of the Rodian's explanation. This would do nicely. They would first need to gather samples and once that had been completed, run the tests and come up with the best method to help Rekali the Hutt with the air quality.
They each made it to their chambers. Not wanting to have Rekali the Hutt wait, Saffron merely ensured that her items were in her room. She left Mair in charge on ensuring that the rest of the equipment would be set up. For now, the young blonde woman would search for Keej so that he may take her to Rekali.
