To introduce a Star

Location: Nar Shadda
Purpose: Introduce [member="Sun"] to the crew of the Recalcitrant and to show her her new living area
Characters: Corruck, crew of the Recalcitrant, and Sun
Sheera watched as stars moved by, it was so beautiful to view the galaxy as it was now. Unfortunately the image wasn't the real thing. Right now she was stuck on Nar Shadda waiting for Corruck to get back from some sort of market expedition. She hated this place. She wondered why Corruck had even come here. There were markets on every other planet. He could have gone to, she would have preferred just about anywhere but here.

She was gladdened when Rathur came up to the bridge. He brought a deck of cards. "Pazzak?" He asked.

Sheera smiled as she nodded. "Please. I need something to take my mind off of waiting."

Rathur laughed to himself as he cut the deck and held out some cards for her to choose. "You know Corruck. Never been one for the usual."

She picked four cards and then held the deck as Rathur picked out his cards. "That is very true. Sometimes I wish that he would get a normal life. First that crime gang, then the rebels, now a bunch of dogs."

As if on cue one of Corruck's Vornskr hounds trotted into the room. It walked up to Rathur and rubbed up against the human's leg.

Rathur rubbed the dog like creature's ear and pet it as he responded and shuffled the cards. "Hey, he brought us along too. I think we are the only thing that hasn't changed since almost the beginning."

Sheera picked the first card off the deck, a three. She let Rathur pick a card and she replied, "Well as much as I appreciate not being left on some forsaken planet, I would much more prefer that he at least tell us what he is planning."

Rathur pulled out a six and placed down a plus four. He smiled and was about to speak when a tone sounded through the comm. "Corruck's back."

They both left the cards and immediately walked towards the loading ramp. They were surprised to see that Corruck was not alone.

----------------------------------------------------

Corruck walked beside Sun at a lea leisurely pace. They had both entered the landing area for the ship, the Recalcitrant sat silently in front of them. He had been quiet up until now. "This is my ship, the Recalcitrant. It is my home at this point. I think you would fit in quite well. Where are you from?" He enjoyed asking questions, learning more about the people he traveled with. It allowed him to understand them and to be able to make sure he does not hurt them.

Sun walked three steps behind her new master. It was important to maintain his status of superiority at all times. She took a moment before she responded to his question. " I am sorry, my master. I remember little of my homeworld. Only that I did not spend very long upon its soil." She replied calmly. She had only been three when she was taken in by her first owners. The only thing she actually did remember was eating garbage and sleeping in dirt. Her crimson eyes rested on the people waiting for them.

Corruck thought on that for a moment. He would have thought that a person would learn more of their home even if they were taken from it. Though that was probably an assumption that he had made and would later have to remove. He noticed ahead that Rathur and Sheera were watching as [member="Sun"] and he made their way towards the ship. He stayed quiet until he was closer. He was trying to figure out how to introduce them. That was when he realized that he had not asked her name, an oversight on his part that would prove to be quite embarrassing to himself.

It was too late to rectify the oversight so he simply took it in stride. When they were within casual speech range, Corruck started speaking, "Sheera, Rathur, this is...I'm sorry I forgot to ask, what was your name again?"

Sheer and Rathur both looked critically at Corruck then Sun. They weren't sure what to think at this time, though they both got a pretty uncomfortable feeling about the situation.

Sun bowed deeply to her master's companions. "My name is whatever you wish to refer to me as, my master." She replied. Many called her "Sun" because of her orange skin. Her true name, or so she had been told, was Zuvel Sixiliuth, though no one had ever used it. She didn't mind. Whatever made her master happy kept her content enough as it was.

Corruck smiled weakly at Sheera and Rathur as both of them looked at him some what alarmed. Sheera seemed a little upset however both of them pulled a mask over their emotions. Corruck would have to think on that for a name. He had not been prepared and therefore was a little off-balance. "Thank you."

He decided to start with the other side of the introduction while his mind raced, "This is Sheera and he is Rathur." He gestured to each as he spoke.

"Sheera is our pilot. Rathur is our navigational officer. He also keeps track of supplies. If you need anything that you don't have you should ask him about getting it." Sheera and Rathur nodded as they were spoken about.

Before Corruck could go further. Sheera kicked in quickly, "So where did Corruck pick you up?" She wanted to be sure that her own suspicions were wrong. She so hoped that she was wrong.

((OOC: Someone's in deep doodoo :p))
Sun didn't answer Sheera immediately. Normally, she only spoke to others if her master allowed her to. Seeing as how this was Corruck's crew, however, she felt it was appropriate to answer at least a few of their questions. "I was purchased from the auction a few streets away."

(OOC: Most definitely. Sheera is a little touchy on these things, her being a Twi'lek and all.)

Sheera turned and stormed off. She had been right... Oh Corruck would not hear the end of it once she had calmed down a little, only a little. Rathur sighed, disappointed and followed his wife back into the ship. They had not thought that Corruck would stoop so far. Yet here it was. Rathur was willing to bet that Corruck would probably give some noble reason for the purchase, however it would take quite a bit of conversation before he would be willing to believe anything at this point.

Corruck stayed silent, once he had thought through what was going to happen he had expected this result. He was not surprised and he wasn't really hurt. He felt some guilt, however he had to keep it in check. He couldn't allow his emotions to control him. He would explain later. He had tried again and again after purchasing [member="Sun"] to pull apart his reasons for entering into the auction. He had found little to answer his questions. There was certainly a beauty that probably affected him, but he knew it was more than simple lust. He had grown beyond that a long time ago. He may have felt pity, he may wanted her some scheme of his. He did not know why and that was disturbing to him.

"Well, let's just head in and I'll introduce you to the rest of the crew." Corruck silently prayed that at least one of the others wouldn't be... well, he couldn't really put a word that was appropriate to the perfect anger that he felt that Sheera was probably experiencing.

As he walked to the door he asked, "Do you know your original name? Or only the name's previous masters have called you?" At least there would be no problem with names next time. He hoped.

It was odd the way that Sheera and Rathur had walked off so suddenly. Sun could only assume it had been something she'd said. Master Corruck didn't seem to be angry with her about it, though. She proceeded to follow him into the ship. "One of my original Masters once told me that my birth name was Zuvel Sixiliuth." It was strange to say her actual name. She'd only ever heard it one time, and that was years ago.

"Zuvel, that's a nice name." Corruck said, it was true to him. He didn't know why people didn't use their true names, aside from out of necessity of safety. Names were beautiful to him, they showed a person and helped explain them.

He continued, or was about to when a brown blur ran down the hall and stopped right in front of Corruck and [member="Sun"] . It was one of his Vornskr, Norgorth. The dog like creature seemed happy to see Corruck and it made the cackling like noise that had come to mean the same as a purr to Corruck. The creature rubbed against Corruck's legs for a few moments and then suddenly turned to Sun. It seemed to take in the stranger, smelling and trying to decide how to respond. It finally came to the decision that she was prey, as they did with most Force sensitives. It cackled again, this time different and Corruck knew that he had to act quickly.

He pulled out an injector and used it immediately on the dog. The tranquilizer took effect almost immediately. It made the creature less aggressive and more lethargic for a time. "Sorry about that. Please forgive Norgorth, he tends to act like that around strangers. Normally its Jedi or Sith or something like that... Are you Force sensitive?"
