To be that of...oneself? Songsteel challenge

Standing in the robes of green,
I have lightsabers in my hands,
With a yellow and white sheen.
I must become the eye of the storm.
With my Soresu stance,
I chose to be of this form.
It was that of a bladesmen
that I wanted to be of.
Or to be that of a swordsmen
either I would love.
@[member="Krest"] stood before me.
Ready for whatever I may bring,
and any attacks should they be.
Ready for my training in that of Vaapad.
I hoped that my skills with a lightsaber,
I stood there all amazed on the training pad.

Krest stood still,
In his hand was that of blue.
A saber he had not built,
But one he still knew.
Across from him was Xander,
The boy had come far.
And now he was to teach Juyo,
but it was something to bar.
It's strength came from the dark,
something the Zabrak knew well.
Would the boy be able to stay in control?
Time would only tell.
And so the training begins,
Krest lifting his saber high.
For tonight they would dance,
and they both knew why.

My sabers came to life
breathing their hums of power
only would I have this lesson of strife
I fueled my emotions into me
and to be that of power to myself.
The scene made of debris
Fabricated out of a mind
I came to be bind.
Not by the clutches of anger
But that of pain.
for my years spent as a wonderer
I wanted to fight for my past
only would I attack.
For this lesson would last.
My sabers became that of death
though not to Krest,
it was though I were holding my breath.
Spinning into a cyclone
I swept my blade at the man's feet.
it was to become prone
that I would learn of power
and strength.
by the end of this hour.

Templar's walked their own paths,
Each free to pick a road.
Whether to the light,
Or to the dark as they were told.
But it was in between Krest roamed,
Picking the road of grey.
In his mind was rage,
But in control he would stay.
The boy leaped close,
Sending the first blow.
But Krest stayed still,
To see the show.
He jumped over the blade,
Swinging his overhead.
He brought it down quick,
No hesitation to be shed.
Ataru was a form of power,
Something so near.
No words were needed,
At the end it would be clear.
Whether Xander had learned,
Or found himself destroyed.
Would he keep himself,
Or loose to the void?
@[member="Xander Carrick"]

I continued the path
That of my saber.
Twas it simple math.
Moving to block the slash
The weapon of old did protect
me from the blade with a dash.
I had to find the rhythm
so that I could best Krest
To be the the long coming storm.
Strike with lightning.
unpredictable and fast
so that my precise slashing
was that of my design.
Attacks went back and forth.
Hitting and blocking,
with everything we are worth.
my blade swept across his chest,
to come back twice more.
And see who would be the best.
@[member="Krest"]

Krest moved like water,
He and his blade one.
Juyo was a stance he knew,
One he used a ton.
There was no room for error,
Less this dance be his last.
So he kept up the pace,
And started to have a blast.
The boy struck hard,
Nearly out moving his blade.
But he brought his around,
Using the force as his aid.
With the force guiding,
He blocked the strikes thrice.
Then turned to attack,
being sure to be precise.
He dashed past Xander,
His figure just a blur.
He cut for his chest,
But more would occur.
And so he passed by,
His blade staining blue.
All the strikes thrown,
To the back go two.
@[member="Xander Carrick"]

Fast and vigilant was Krest
with for force in his veins
His strikes came for my chest.
Blocked with the saber of the sun
he went to my left, while I turned right.
Using momentum to bring my saber, and feeling the burn,
To block his twin strikes at my back,
I lashed out my hand
bringing the force to emit
and remove his feet from land.
My body became blurry
my saber flying to my hand
white blinding light joining it's brother in a furry.
Strikes of two blades coming fast
left to right and right to left.
At the same time, I was having a blast.
@[member="Krest"]

Krest was prepared now,
For this wasn't the first.
He built up the force in his chest,
Until he felt to close to burst.
He released to counter Xander,
Being sure to stay in control.
Krest leaped back,
Staying the obstacle before the goal.
He evaded the two,
Then focused on his own.
The blade lit up bright,
Then mellowed it's tone.
He kept his distance,
Preparing for his strike.
His blade was pure,
Him and it alike.
With a flick of the wrist
He sent a wave forward.
The force ripped through the air,
Between Xander and the sword.
It was not something to be blocked,
But something to evade.
Krest followed after,
once more swinging his blade.
This fight would not be long,
No, a winner will soon be seen.
Despite each others struggle,
The fight will be clean.
@[member="Xander Carrick"].

The force rippled around
With powers of Telekinesis,
I held close to the ground.
I slid a few feet back
Saber up and ready
Preparing for his next attack.
The blade lusted after my vein.
Bright and powerful
Could such a weapon bring pain.
My saber came to lock
Not was it just a simple move,
But limiting him by a block.
"You and your waves."
I shook my head with words,
"but I stand stronger than stones."
I flew at him, with my saber like the wings of the birds.
cutting at him with aid.
Forces pushed my body past human limits.
should this all be by blood, sweat and tears, paid.
@[member="Krest"]

Krest was a man of the blade,
Always hiding a second.
But for this he kept them hidden,
The Force was better he reckoned.
With his open hand he focused,
Building up his strength.
Then with a grunt he let loose,
His arm extending to full length.
The blast was strong,
Sent out in force.
His hand clicked and churned,
For the robotics was the source.
A push was simple,
A skill too easy.
So Krest dropped his saber,
His movements seeming lazy.
His second blade flew out,
The Red Blade igniting.
With one hand he caught it,
And continued the fighting.
Two more slashes,
Each filled with grace.
For now the two,
Would fight on his pace.
@[member="Xander Carrick"]

A force like no other.
Pushing me back with the strength of a thousand men.
was no such way that I could block that power.
I crashed through a wall,
flopping over myself,
rolling into a ball.
Slowly I got up, and face him.
His rushing at me with blades,
all I could think was, Damn.
His sabers were locked
Commenced in a X between us.
I had blocked.
I would have to become more
Aggressive should I wish to survive,
I sent my own force push, wanting to him to leave out the door.
I rushed, bringing my sabers home,
towards the man's chest,
with where we would continue under this dome.
@[member="Krest"]

Krest flew back,
His form distorted by blue and red.
Part of him was getting tired.
Part of him wanted his bed.
Juyo was a physical art,
One of high stress.
Krest took a deep breath,
Hoping to impress.
He caught the blades along his own,
His mind still in bliss.
For a fight was his home,
Where nothing was amiss.
But all good things come to an end,
And this was no exception.
So Krest pulled himself back,
Hiding his last expression.
With now one blade in his palms,
The other stashed away.
He aims to end the fight,
So with one he shall stay.
He ran towards Xander,
Holding his blue blade high.
For this was the last strike,
For the end was neigh.
With all his might he brought it down,
His blue eyes flashing red.
For the Zabrak was in between,
As it once was said.
One last strike was all he had,
And he felt it may not be enough.
For the boy was strong,
But Krest was still tough.
@[member="Xander Carrick"]

Life seemed to become sill.
The lights dimmed around us
as though this were ti fit the bill?
We rushed at one another.
Fighting with such spirit that
we had a connection, what may have seen like a brother
Sabers came to clash once more.
Power surged through me for one more strike,
Just one more was all I needed.
I flew at him like a thrown pike,
yellow saber coming to clash with blue
Saber locked once more, I pushed against.
I had a feeling that this would be something new.
We had to rise against
the powering tides we controlled.
Only this encounter would end
With a single dice rolled.
@[member="Krest"]

Krest held firm,
His hands gripping his blade.
He used his rage inside,
From all the strikes they trade.
With strength surging through,
The Zabrak pushed on.
But then he let his saber drop,
Turning to the dawn.
He steps past Xander,
His second blade alight.
He slashes one more time,
Once to end the fight.
@[member="Xander Carrick"]

we pushed against one another.
So strong that I was shaking.
But oh brother.
there was no way that I was going to win this.
My hands were slipping, Being just a young age,
I was not a person that was strong physically
maybe this would be the turn of a new page?
But it was not to be.
The saber lock came close to my body,
and suddenly
Krest attacked with no folly.
His saber clashed
Causing my saber to fall.
There was no mistake,
I had dropped the ball.
@[member="Krest"]

The Zabrak let out a sigh,
Stepping past the boy.
He let his saber turn off,
There was nothing left to employ.
"You have passed."
Was all that was said.
Without a word,
The Zabrak fled.
The day was done,
And despite his loss.
The boy had advanced,
And now had a new cross.
@[member="Xander Carrick"]

Nodding my head,
I picked up my saber
only wanting to rest in my bed.
I moved to stand
looking at him as he spoke.
Letting them be a brand.
Letting him walk away.
I followed suit
letting it be the end of the day.
