Backstory:
Titus was born an arrogant and slightly ungrateful brat of a youth to a wealthy politician on the planet Corellia, wealth and the luxuries of life was never something he'd wanted. At the earliest of ages he would steal away from his tutors and studies, to sneak off and play in the streets with other boys.
Constant disapproval at the hand of his father for the choices he made and the embarrassment his so called actions caused, resulted in him being sold into slavery by the age of ten to a middle aged man covered in scarred battle armor who professed in needing a servant to manage his gear. In actuality the man had taken pity on him, seeing a boy being sold off at auction by his father at a black market trading block. That was Corellia for you though, one moment a sons being sold and the next his father's placing a reward for his safe return.
Upon learning just who the man was, and what his armor stood for, gave Titus a small insight to life as a Mandalorian. If life was hard before, life with Clan Kryze of House Kryze wasn't what Titus expected, the older bounty hunter was a harsh abrupt man who expected complete obedience to the letter. Each day Titus was woken well before dawn, and trained in the most grueling of fashions. Each morning he was forced to hike until he collapsed, than he was forced to hike even more, training his body for the rigorous labors of a mandalorian. Then came hours of extensive martial combat training, ranging from hand to hand, to blasters, to rifles, staffs, and vibroblades. Then in the evening hours he was grilled in the ways of the mando, tutored in the extensive histories and lores of the clans and the wars that the clans had all taken a part of. And the Resol'nare was always to be chanted during training, so as not to forget the creed, and the few times he slipped up resulted in a stern cuff and extra rigorous exercises that lasted long into the night. Resulting in extra strenuous training the next day. At the age of thirteen, the day Titus became a man, he was tasked with his first hunt.
Passing the test was a challenge in itself, to win was the right to be a mandalorian, albeit a fresh faced runt with the barest of skills, failure meant the loss of his life. As his target was killing a rancor that lived in a deep dark cave. The task was set as a four day challenge, and had to end with the death of the Rancor or him. The trial took immense wit, courage, and audacity, but he did manage to persevere. His trial earned him the respect and admiration from his Mandalorian surrogate father and peers in the small community of Night Owl Mandalores that had taken refuge on the planet Dathomir after the fall of Pre-Vizala of the Night Owls to the hands of Darth Maul. Further fracturing within the unit due to the treatment of unarmed women and children lead to their small community being formed Dathomir Specifically when the orders involved killing innocents and bringing dishonor amongst themselves.
Story of the hunt:
Titus stood at the edge of a large opening that lead down into darkness, the cavernous open on the side of a hill was large in diameter, easily thirty meters across and just as many high
The ceiling of the cavern curved up and outward if one were to look, creating a high sloping ceiling, ropes of vines and moss hung like curtains giving the place an entirely bad feeling. It had taken Titus two and a half days to get here, most of it running in full gear and armor, taking only the merest of breaks. Just enough to replenish his vitals and catch maybe an hour or two of sleep here and there.
Here he was, a thirteen year old foundling on his trial to become a man, at the entrance to a cave that led to perhaps one of the singular most fearsome of all carnivorous creatures that roamed Dathomir, if not the entire galaxy. This one was a Bull Rancor, a nasty old male that had its tusks broken at some point in its life, and took pleasure in harassing wildlife and anything else in the area, including their small mandalorian clan.
Now here he was, about to attempt his hand at bringing the magnificent creature to its end, and prove he was worthy.
Titus knew that he would never kill the beast if he went into the deep dark cave, he would be limited in his senses while the Rancor would have perfect sight and smell. He would fail unless he managed to draw his foe out of his lair. Which meant he had to spend time collecting enough bait to attract the behemoth from within.
Titus spent the course of the remainder of his third day hunting, scoring surrounding areas for Drebbin and fishing for Burra fish, excessively hunting as much as he could find. With that part finished Titus went about exploring the areas above the cave, during this exploration he noticed that parts of the ground above the cave were eroding and had deepening cracks along a good portion of what was the area directly above the opening to the Rancor's den.
An idea struck him at this point, causing him to grab his pack and the pair of thermal detonators he was allowed to bring, setting the charge in place he set the device to remote detonation before moving back toward his pile of freshly killed carcasses. Now he just had to lug these closer to the opening without alerting the Rancor to his presence.
After he was done hauling the bloody hulks inside the cave Titus waited inside the entrance for a few moments, switching his HUD to night vision as he scanned the cavern. His ears straining for the slightest sound of his prey, then behind him came a loud angry roar, and crashing thumps started rising in pitch and vibration. Turning around Titus switched off his night vision in time to watch as a 16 meter tall, blue skinned, broken horned Bull Rancor slowly approached toward the cave, a large carcass hung from its maw as it scented all the blood and the scent of humans. He could hear it sniffing as it returned via scent, its eyes weren't the greatest in the light. In the seconds that followed Titus calculated the odds of sneaking past the Rancor in the open versus falling back into the cave, when an idea struck him. Territorial creatures such as Rancor's roar a challenge upon creatures that invade upon their grounds. Grasping his remaining thermal detonator tightly in his hand he set the timer to thirty seconds before charging out at the Rancor, his Blaster Rifle fire peppering the beasts face, earning an irritated roar from the its maw, the second he saw his chance he threw his detonator straight into the opening. Sailing the silver ball with its flashing red timer, Titus watched it disappear into the abyss that was eager to swallow him whole.
Lashing out as it charged forward Titus was struck hard by the Rancor's right arm, sending him flying back toward the cave opening. Lying there senseless and breathless for a split second he groaned as he rolled away from a thunderous crash of a giant left foot, gaining his feet he rolled forward under its legs and detonated the first thermal grenade he'd planted earlier.
An explosion rocked the air and a wave of pressure knocked him careening backward onto his back, as the cave began to crumble. Giant rocks tumbled down and hit the Rancor, causing another agonized roar, then the timer on the second thermal detonator exploded inside the Rancor's stomach. Causing viscera and bone and half-eaten animal corpses to rain about him.
Titus lay stunned for a while before he was able to regain himself, his breastplate was shattered, and his helmet smashed to shit, his right leg was sprained, and his left arm felt like it was dislocated. Still Titus toughed it out despite his injuries and managed to cut the head from the Rancor and created a makeshift sled to transport it back to camp.
At the age of eighteen when the man who raised him, who eventually took him along on bounty hunting missions, died of natural causes. Titus inherited his aged YT-2400 light freighter dubbed, "Adenn'Am" (or Merciless Change). Being able to choose his own course and accept his own bounties, had him away from Dathomir far more often than he was home amongst his clan.
At the age of twenty-two, Titus relocated to the underworld of Coruscant, there he felt he would best make his name for himself, while raking in the credits. The jobs that Titus took earned him a dangerous reputation within the underworld of Coruscant. During these jobs and hunts, Titus took a job that sent him to his birthplace of Corellia, where he was tasked with eliminating a political rival of some shadowy contractor. The job reeked of credits, a shadow client, and espionage, he was to silently infiltrate the offices of an underling of the Diktak of Corellia. It was during the job there Titus infiltrated his father's offices under the guise of forged imperial orders and stole shipping manifestos from the personal computer he remembered his father had hidden in a secret area of his office. It took awhile for him to find access to the false wall, it brought him a sense of anger and justice as the location was a photo on the wall of him and his mother when he was about six. Scratches along the walls indicating the trick to revealing the secrets within, a computer sat atop a desk that held all his so-called father's most important business. All the business transactions of all his shipping companies, shipping routes, cargos. Literally everything a rival could ask for, as Titus investigated he learned his father had invested in special ships with certain designations for each of his companies. Each of those "special" ships were being used to transport specialized cargo to imperial hands. Hidden away in a separate file, labeled "priority one", had a listing of specialized items being shipped or yet to be shipped, among the items was a cache of Beskar that was being shipped on a Lamda-Class Imperial shuttle.
Planning the raid from a shady cantina in the scummiest sector in Corellia, Titus hired a group of space pirates that flew outdated Barlov medium class freighters that were customized for disabling and capturing ships in deep space. If not the most intelligent of pirates, they appeared that they knew what they spoke of and their ship appeared qualified when Titus inspected it personally. The raid on the lambda shuttle went smoothly for him, he waited for the pirates to ambush the shuttle, waiting longer than he'd promised so the ship managed to get off a distress signal before he played the part of a "rescuer", instead of the pirate he actually was. Waiting until the pirates critically damaged the ship before he flew in and disabled the Barlov with a pair of rapid Ion torpedo blasts, one to the midsection and the other smashed directly into the bridge. With the shield down Titus blasted several large breaches in the hull before he waited, sealing himself in a space suit he traveled to the Lambda-Class T4a and boarded through a hole in the ship he made with a shape charge. Inside the ship was a large box, upon opening the chest he found 8 bars of Beskar steel, with the successful mid-space raid on the shuttle, Titus had enough Beskar to have a forge master craft him a new helmet, greaves, and a breastplate. The new armor was colored red and black with the "Rancor", signet emblazoned across the chest to complete the look.
Upon completion and return to Coruscant, the criminal organization known as "The Black Sun”, reached out to him. The true posters of the bounty, thought that he would be a valued asset to their leader, a vicious human mobster known as, Malin Corliss. Titus knew and respected it, as all those in the underworld did. After accepting the invitation into "Black Sun '' and being mandalorian he was able to rise through the ranks of the criminal underworld quicker than most. His skills, ruthlessness, lack of emotional feelings toward those who weren't worthy, efficiently performing political assassinations, and thwarting several attempts at Corliss's life, six long hard grueling years serving as a pawn, he was placed under direct command of Malin Corliss.
