Location: Clan Akaata's Island on Kesh

Aedan Miles stood on the balcony of his villa and sighed his shoulder length violet hair falling around his shoulders as the shirt he wore hung open revealing his toned chest and abs. He wore a pair of swimming shorts just in case the urge to swim struck him while he was waiting for the arrival of the woman he had hired recently. Normally he didn't do things like this but he was taking some time off and letting his son take charge of the raids for some time he had hired a belly dancer to come and stay on the island for the time being as someone to talk to and some entertainment. The price had been steep but worth it if his son told the truth now he waited for the woman and her guards to arrive as he calmly looked out over the ocean. Boats of varying sizes drifted out there some fishing others hiding construction beneath the ocean as they worked on the underwater hangars out there. Sighing Aedan turned and walked into the three story villa making sure that the rooms to be appointed to the woman he only knew as Yasmin would be having as well as the rooms given to her guards that had been set up and linked with his securities surveillance set up so they could keep an eye on the woman. He also had disabled all camera's in the womans room as well as his own room and had made an account linked to a card for the woman to use while she was here. If she desired more money the now proven Pirate King could easily provide some for her as well as having a fairly famous chef on staff in his villa.

Given recent events, Joza had taken herself off of the roster for Heartbeat House as a dancer for quite some time. Between teaching, breaking down slaver rings, and dealing with her duties in the SSC and TKO, the Zeltron had quite a lot on her plate. Fighting was all well and good and gave her a decent rush, but she found that she missed what she did best: exotic dance. Some may call it raunchy and inappropriate—and it very well may be—but who said that it couldn’t be artful as well? Shortly after her profile went active again, and interested party came along.

She’d never been to this part of Kesh before. Heck, she’d only been to Kesh a handful of times despite being friends with Solan Charr, the King. Her last visit wasn’t a particularly good memory, seeing as how it was the first place she’d managed to go after escaping slavery for the second time. Since then, she’d been far more careful in her methods. But damn, whoever this Aedan Miles was, he was certainly loaded. Hopefully he’d be the benevolent type, as it typically wasn’t good for business for the guards to actually have to do their job.

Not that the woman couldn’t defend herself. Dancing in private homes often posed more of a risk than in a public place, but he’d agreed to let her bring guards along. A pair of men flanked Joza as they approached the villa, one of them with a permanently grumpy look etched across his face.

“I told you, I’m a pilot, not a damn merc.” Ivan grunted, adjusting the rifle slung to his back. “And I don’t think I’ve carried this many guns before.” The man was Joza’s personal pilot, but today he’d be acting as a guard.

“Shush. I’m low on security, so you’ll have to do. And think of this as a vacation, alright?” Joza shrugged, fingering the silk of her headscarf gently. She was swathed head to toe in a sheer silk garment, only her eyes and wrists completely visible. Her figure was apparent beneath layers of light cloth, however.

“You look ridiculous.” The pilot grunted, rolling his eyes.

Now all that was left was to meet this Aedan Miles, the man who had requested the dancer.

Aedan turned as he was informed that the dancer had arrived nodding the young man strode down into the entryway of his villa offering the woman and her guards a polite bow noting how one man seemed to be handling the weapon he held awkwardly. Chuckling he gestured back his own guards looking at the one who held the weapon awkwardly as a sign of peace. "If you would like to follow my security captain he will lead you to the room set up for you and your comrade during your stay here. It has been wired to our security systems so you can keep an eye out as well. If you would follow me Miss Yasmin I will show you to your quarters for the time." He walked forward a bit than turned holding one arm out for her if she wished to take it and let him guide her his violet eyes looking towards her curiously.

The captain of Aedan's security team gestured Ivan after him and made his way upstairs to the set of rooms close to Yasmins gesturing inside calmly. "Y'all have been given access to everything we have as well as free food from the chef. If you wish to vet some of our own security to join Yasmin's so you can enjoy the island home of Clan Akaata feel free to let me know and I will bring in some of the young bucks who are out to prove their worth." Inside the room was a full sized fridge that could hold various beverages a menu with what they had available here as well as a pair of queen sized very comfortable looking rooms. The displays were set up against one wall showing the various camera's set up within and outside of the Villa.

Joza nodded to Ivan and the other guard, letting them know that she was alright with being escorted away from them. The Zeltron sensed no danger, and typically didn’t run into anything bad with most clients. But she was wary—paranoid, even—and decided to err on the side of caution for now.

Catching the look from his employer, Ivan nodded once and withheld a sigh. For some reason, Joza enjoyed tormenting him and they were often at each other’s throats. He’d be glad to get a break from the pink woman, especially given that this wasn’t a mission. He gave a shallow, polite bow to the head of security before being led to his quarters for their stay. As the door opened, his eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Your boss must be loaded, huh?” Free food and access to a private island resort? I didn’t get much better than this.

Back with Aedan, Joza smiled beneath her veil and wrapped a hand around his arm. “Such a gentleman, Mr. Miles. You have a lovely home. What is it that you do, if I may ask?” She could sense that he was a Force user of the Dark might, but it didn’t particularly bother her. Not on the surface, anyway. Joza was always a little cautious around Dark Jedi the first time meeting one as some were more like Sith than they admitted. That being said, many of her close friends were Dark Jedi or practiced with the Darker side of the Force.

Aedan glanced at her and offered her a kind smile shrugging a bit absently. "I suppose it would get to this eventually. If you insist to know I am a Pirate. Actually if you have noticed the news I am the Pirate King who is accredited with stealing a fleet from the Republic was a simple matter. The source of my wealth comes from striking out against those who go against my friends. My home here was not bought as much as gifted to me by my long time from the King of Kesh." Aedan started to calmly walk her towards her room the only room on par with his own even more lavishly decorated than it. In size they matched in decorations hers was far more lavish and showing off his wealth. He gestured around calmly after opening the door to her. "These are your quarters I am willing to if your guard permits give some of my men to them to act as security they can pick and choose those they wish all here are equally skilled as well as loyal to me seeing as how I am the leader of the Clan Akaata." He set an item on the table by the door and gestured outside towards a fairly large stretch of beach with pure white sand and a cove protected from the worst of the weather. "This card has access to an account arranged just for you the smiths of Clan Akaata are skilled at both arms and armour as well as Jewlery feel free to buy items. You also have full access to my private beach anything you wish to eat can be arranged as well. Your security has a suite just down the way I have also decided to set aside some funding for them to purchase weapon and armor upgrades if they wish." He gestured towards the two cards resting beside the one he had set on the table he offers her a bow before turning to leave finding himself for the first time unsure of how to proceed.

Back in the suite given to the security the man who had guided Ivan there grinned and nodded letting out a light chuckle. "Aye I suppose you could call the Pirate King loaded if you wished. Aedan cares deeply for his Clan though this is only a portion of his wealth that he claims for himself. The rest goes towards the Clan and the ones whose husbands or sons get injured in our raids. If you don't believe anything else I tell you believe this. Aedan cares more for his friends and family than he does for us. That is why he lost his arm after all." The man gestures for Ivan to follow him leading the man back towards the set of rooms given to Ivan's boss Yasmin showing him the alcoves that could be used if they were attacked as well as a secret entrance to Aedan's panic shelter.

Pirate King? Well, that actually made sense. Those who did their job well often ended up wealthy, and this Aedan Miles seemed to be no exception. Still, pirates could prove to be dangerous. “You know the King of Kesh?” There was a clear note of surprise in her voice, and her hand tightened around his arm a bit at the thought of Solan Charr. He was a good friend of Joza’s as well, but she had to remind herself that she was not Joza right now—she was Yasmin. The poised and graceful dancer, not the fighter with a cybernetic arm and a host of scars littering her pink skin. Men—and sometimes women—hired her and her dancers to put on a show that included more than dancing. They were mysterious, elegant creatures and had a certain persona to uphold.

“…You stole a fleet from The Republic?” Okay, she sounded genuinely amused at that. Joza wasn’t particularly fond of The Republic and tended to stay out of their affairs, sans their dominion of Zeltros. She’d rather have them keep watch over the planet than the One Sith who’d burn it into nothing…again. Sobering up, Joza reminded herself that she wasn’t sitting at a bar chatting with a friend—she was with a client and would behave as such.

“It seems that you’ve made quite a name for yourself, Pirate King.” Her tone was lightly teasing, with no malice in it at all. “And generous, too. You really do not need to go through such lengths for me and my men. But I truly appreciate it.” Usually the dancers weren’t treated as more than hired help, but she’d been surprised before.

A smirk crossed her veiled lips as she thought of what Ivan would do with the money and his free time. Upgrade for the ship, if that could be managed. Joza knew very little about flying, hence why she left all that nonsense up to the ex-smuggler. As Aedan turned to leave, Joza tilted her head and reached for his arm. “Wait, we haven’t discussed the details of my performance yet.” She lightly chided him before pausing. “Actually, there’s really not much to discuss…other than when and where.”

“Huh.” Ivan arched a brow, looking thoughtful for a few moments. “Doesn’t sound like how you’d expect a Pirate King to act. I’ve known my fair share of pirates, and usually they don’t care much beyond their own wealth and maybe a few people.” He seemed genuinely surprised, but not in absolute disbelief. Not all pirates were bad, and it certainly was interesting to hear that this one supported his clan and took care of his friends.

Aedan looks at the woman at the note of surprise in her voice and nods smiling lightly as he thought back to the past. "Yes Solan and I have had various misadventures through our lives. In regards to the dance whenever you feel you are ready I am taking a break from my job while my son gets a taste of it. Eventually he will inherit the name Pirate King and lead the Dragon Reaper fleet in my stead." Aedan stretched lightly the shirt moving to reveal a series of scars on his side and the place where his cybernetic arm met the stump of his right arm. He looked around slowly his violet eyes flickering a bit as he started to hum a song to himself.

The man by Ivan turned to look at him and nodded his head once. "Don't get me wrong he has had his times where he failed his Clan and Friends but he always finds a way to redeem himself. One thing is for sure though he has changed sense I started following him. Young as he may be he has experiences even I can't claim to having. I merely follow along where he leads and know that he will give his life to save mine at any time. You and your boss will be safe here also here." The man held out a datapad that showed the sum of money in the account set aside for him. "Aedan felt like it was unfair to leave the Guards out of a bonus so he set aside funds for both of you not a lot only about a million credits but you should be able to find some stuff on our island to buy and if you don't you are free to take the credits with you." The man turned as a patrol of Aedan's security walked by none of them the same species they nodded politely to Ivan before moving on laughing and joking as they easily moved.

“Really…” Her voice trailed, as if she were thinking to herself. And she was. If he was on good terms with Solan, then she was probably safe here. But she pulled herself back into the here and now. “You have a son?” She asked politely, figuring that Aedan’s child couldn’t be that old given how young the man looked. But then again she could have been fooled, or perhaps he was using the Force to mask his presence as some did.

Her eyes tracked to the scars near his shoulder as he moved. She recognized them, bearing some similar ones on her right arm as well where the cybernetics connected. But most of her scars were covered, either by the costume she wore beneath her veil or by layers of makeup. Dancers typically didn’t come with a host of scars, and Joza had taken care to hide her own the best she could. Now probably wasn’t the most appropriate time to comment on his cybernetics, though.

“Where are you usually entertained, Mr. Miles?” She inquired pleasantly enough, not feeling a need to remind him that while the dance had a sensual element, she did not employ prostitutes. What the girls did on their own time was up to themselves, however. “I am ready to dance whenever, as I’ve been hired to do. Why, I could even begin here if that’s what you’d like.” A slow grin formed beneath her veil, the cloth masking her expression for now.

“Huh…” Ivan thought for a few moments before shaking his head. “I wouldn’t worry about J...Yasmin. As frivolous as that woman can be, she can handle herself. Sometimes too well…the last thing I need is to have a kid running around the ship.” He grumbled the last part mostly to himself. Joza was known for her…various engagements. Ivan just thanked the Force or whatever that he hadn’t been around for her Sith fling.Only a million credits?” He seemed a bit taken aback, shaking his head again. “I swear, Yasmin should take on rich clients more.”

Aedan smiles gently at her hiding the shock at her offering to dance now as he looked around absently before gesturing towards the bed and bowing politely. "How about you dance tomorrow and join my household for dinner tonight? I am aware it was quite a trip from Heartbeat House to here. So take some time to relax from the journey I will come back when dinner is ready. If you have any need of me the button beside the door is connected to the intercom to my room." He bowed to her again before he turned to leave stepping into the hallway just as his captain of Security and Ivan return. Nodding to them both he turns and makes his way towards his own room quietly.

As Aedan steps into the hall the man walking with Ivan offers him a shallow bow watching the young man walk away smiling grimly he mumbles. "Rich as he may be Aedan is actually very alone and carries a massive burden on his shoulders. Aside from Lady Yasmin and her guards we don't get many visitors to the Island Aedan doesn't wish to endanger anyone either the guests or his people. But the card for you should be in there on the table one of the two silver colored ones if you are interested in anything specific just let one of our people know and they can direct you somewhere." He held out a datapad as well it had a list of Clan Akaata warriors on it for Yasmin and her guards to look through if they wished to recruit more security for her stay here.

Joza tilted her head to the side, able to sense that her response was unexpected. She’d gathered that much, being as adept in empathy as she was—it would be difficult to hide something from her unless one consciously used mental barriers to keep her out. Even then, she wasn’t one to pry into someone’s mind unless it was necessary. But reading the waves, well, it came naturally to her people.

“As you wish. Thank you for your generosity, Mr. Miles.” Her voice was polite, and even a bit demure as she wore her dancing persona. Of course, she wanted to stay in his good graces and did not want to appear impolite. Her eyes followed him as he left the room, waiting until he left to unravel the veil wound around her head.

As Aedan exited the room and walked past the two men, Ivan mimicked the bow he’d seen the guard captain do. “Really? I hear that Kesh is well defended, though.” Seeing as how his boss was good friends with the King of Kesh, he was a bit surprised to hear this. But as much as she rambled about her daily life to him, there was quite a bit that Joza didn’t tell him. “I’m going to go make sure that Yasmin is settled in.” He jerked a thumb towards her suite before making his way over there.

“So, how does he seem?” The Corellian muttered as he shut the door behind him, taking the time to look over the room and memorize its layout. “Perfectly fine.” Joza was already seated at the dresser, clad in an off-shoulder dress and fixing her hair. She didn’t even turn around to face him as she spoke. “I don’t think we have anything to worry about in terms of security. This is Kesh after all.”

Ivan paused, looking her outfit over. “You’re going to dance for him in that? What happened to the ridiculous sparkly thing you were wearing earlier?” This certainly showed much less skin. Joza chuckled, combing a hand through her red waves. “No, not now. We’re going to dinner. I’ll be dancing for him tomorrow.”

Tomorrow? Aren’t these things usually like…you dance, then you leave? And here I was thinking that you weren’t a whore.”

Joza clicked her tongue, not bothering to glare at the man. “Do try to enjoy yourself for once, Ivan.”
