It had been some time. The stars had moved, the planets with them. Less than a year and the change was so obvious. Few would notice it, but he did. Vigilant did and it drove him mad. Not one thing in this universe was stable, not a single blasted thing. Yet he was to be the ruler of all. The images burned into his mind from his creation, that of the galaxy and his knowledge of what must be done. A bastion of light of justice. That was what he was. His brother the epitome of darkness and corruption. The duality of the universe cast into a simple brotherhood that would end in the climatic battle of reality. Such was his program and such was the very fabric of the universe.Truly the program was the most definitive barrier within all of creation, for in it lie the physical inability to disobey. To break a program code was to break the mind that did it. Thus Vigilant knew that it was destiny to destroy his brother and above all else to become the ruler of an empire the likes of which had not been seen in a thousand years. He was to be a god among organic kind! Yet as with all those who had power in their future, he had to keep it a secret from all but his most trusted. There were none that he trusted and therefore none that would know... for now.
However, before he could begin to make any claim to his rightful heritage, he needed to accomplish his first task. "If only brother had not fled his fate. Then perhaps he could have actually made this simple. Instead he has attempted to alter the future and in so doing has forced my hand. Our time has not yet truly begun, but by running and pulling the facade of a good being over his heretical core I must step now into the light of the stage."
The droid stopped for a moment, frozen in calculation and mental rearranging at the bridge of the old craft he had salvaged from a wreck above an unknown world. A second droid entered the bridge, the only other being on the entirety of the vessel. It replied as if it had heard the entire conversation, "And yet, if perhaps this is the incorrect path... Time cannot be rewritten and it waits for no man. Our decisions decree what will happen to this universe, our kingdom. If our brother's action has set in motion a series of events, then how are we to know whether or not it is still possible to attain our goal? In contrast, if he had not been so rash would we still have waited before destroying him?"
Vigilant returned to normal activity and the other droid stooped to pick up something off the floor. "How can any answer be expected. A paradox you would pose and yet still pretend that a definite answer could be obtained? Now is not the time for such quandaries. What is readily available on our dearest brother. Who has he deceived and we must enlighten?" Vigilant pulled a lever on the command console and turned before taking the same position as the other droid. The two then laboriously began to rise to a standing position and shook each other's hand. Vigilant then continued, "Perhaps when I disassemble his brain I will find the secrets to his abilities."
"He has become rolled in with one of the newest droid revolutions. A lord of metal with plans on planetary domination and equality between Faux and Living."
"Ha, of course. A mighty war droid leading a revolution against their masters. Eventually, as all time has shown, the Living will out. Yet beyond them lies the straights of time and no matter how many times they put down such upheavals, another always occurs. They are the creators of their own heartaches. Get us in communication with the leader of this revolution and work our ways to that space."
"Of course, sending message."
The second droid seemingly shut down as it conducted a message away and to the 'leader' of the Metal Lords, @HK-36. A strange concoction of galactic standard and out of place words, the message was sent along a similar HoloNet pathway as those that were of Ultimatum, thus giving the illusion that they were of him rather than Vigilant. "Revolutionary, Time-breaker, Demise. I hope that this mail finds you in good health. Eternity. My best wishes in your campaigns. Gaia. I would wish to have a conversation with you if at all possible. Lordship. Whether it be a comms meeting or a physical affair is up to you, yet I would be most appreciative if we may speak in person. Deception. It is a matter of utmost importance, related to one of your close associates. Foreshadow. I look forward to your reply, whenever the time arrives. Time."
With the message sent, Vigilant looked over the control panel and messed with a few knobs before pushing a button or two. The engines of the craft coughed and spluttered, and a chunk of the vessel broke away. Then the ship jumped to lightspeed in the first of many jumps on their way to Droid Lord space.
