Avery had a stern focused look on her face as stood at the edge of a training mat as she watched two of her students sparring. Her silver eyes watched their movement and every attack defense they made on one another. Other students sat around the outer edge of the mat watching the two students sparring everyone of them take mental nots on the sparring bout. Avery spoke out one of the students in the match her voice stern and forceful. “Rylin you’re telegraphing you left strikes to much, tighten and speed them up.”

A few more moments past as Rylin speed up and tightened up her attacks however it wasn’t long, and she slacked up again. Grey the other combatant took note and coming in with a left that was quickly and easily blocked by Rylins right, however it caused Rylin to return an attack with her left which she was slacking, Grey easily blocked in and went in for a quick head butt. Rylin staggered back her nose bleeding.

“Enough!” Avery called out Grey turned to face the master and Rylin stagger a few steps but eventually turned to face The Master Avery. They both bow their heads to her, and the other students stood up and faced her. Everyone including Avery was completely naked they had no shame and nothing to hide from each other. The body just like combat was art not to be hidden every muscle on the body told a story in the spar. The students bowed their heads to the master and the Master returned the bow to them.

“You all may go; tomorrow Paul and Kham will spar.” The students began to walk off towards the dressing areas, Avery’s hand reached out grabbed Rylin by the left shoulder stopping her as she tried to pass by. “The Body does not lie Rylin, you need time grieve your father. Take the time like I suggested last week.” She spoke quietly and softly so the other students couldn’t hear the conversation. Avery let Rylin’s shoulder go allowing her to continue to dressing room. Rylin said nothing though walking off in silence and Avery could easily read the woman’s body language and it told her that she would be back tomorrow not giving herself the time she truly needed.

Avery let out a heavy sigh as she reached out with the force and brought her robe to her hand. She draped it over shoulders and body. Her silver glowing eyes stared at the mat specifically the blood spot that Rylin’s nose had left when it dripped. Avery’s mind drifted back to a time where she was fighting in one of the arena’s on Nar Shaddaa. She felt every punch and kick in her mind as she remembered the brutal and bloody fight. She remembered how she didn’t feel the pain when she shattered her right fist in that fight, which instinctively caused her to open and close her right fist.

She shook away the thoughts of how she ran away from her own grief, how she refused to grieve so many things in her life. At least Rylin wouldn't go as far Avery did to running from her fear of grief. That was so long ago for Avery yet she still had not let herself fully heal the grief she probably never would.

It felt strange being on Eshan after so many years away. It had been literal years; Talia hadn’t been gone since Pandora was born, and her daughter was now a teenager of sixteen. Talia had come home pregnant after years away, exploring the galaxy and making her own mark, to introduce her daughter to her family; her beloved father, her brother... to Avery. She had stayed for a while — like she always did. And then one day both mother and daughter were gone; lost in time and space. But as always she remained loyal to those that shared her blood - who had been there for her through thick and thin without judgement. It was what bought her back to Eshan today. Her family - Avery - she craved them.

The relationship between then was special; it wasn't something everyone understood because it transcended simply being sisters. There was no one in the galaxy that Talia trusted more then Avery. Sure, she had a wonderful relationship with Rathe - loved how he treated Pandora so well, like his own daughter some days, but what she had Avery had was deeper. The click of her heels was as she entered the Oldin compound, no one attempting to stop her as she wandered. Talia had known Avery would be here and she couldn't prevent the nauseousness worming through her veins. They had both lived a long time, suffered through so much. Nothing seemed to change, but every year was different.

She found her sister along in the training facility, and recognised the expression on her face immediately. Taila’s own expression softened tenfold at seeing her dear sister again, though there was concerns as well. For people such as them, the long lived people, the proverbial phoenix from the ashes; the demons were dark and twisted, and they never showed mercy. “Avery.” Talia spoke quietly as not to startle her, but imagined Avery had felt her approach long before this moment. They always seemed to know when the other was near.

Avery head tuned and her and her silver eyes met Talia’s silver eyes. The look of contemplation on the pain of the past washed away in an instant, replaced by a wide smile. Avery had felt her little sister, but she wasn’t sure if it was real or just a longing. These days Avery was having a harder time discerning between what was, what is, and what she dreamed of. Yet as soon as she saw those eyes, she knew what she had been feeling was real.

Slowly Avery approached her little sister, there was a time when the two stood eye to eye but now Avery found herself looking up at her. Avery remembered the day Talia was born and their mother let Avery hold her. Talia had been so tiny then but that day Avery knew she had found her best friend and companion. Avery walked right up to Talia and reached her left hand up and put it behind Talia’s head, pulling the taller woman’s head down.

Avery pulled Talia’s forehead to her own forehead the warmth of skin on skin as her silver eyes stared into Talia’s. How she missed her, but no words had been spoken they did not need to be. Avery knew Talia could feel it, the fact that no matter how much time past Avery was always happy to see her. Avery let out a hot heavy breath as she let go of the back of Talia’s head and just wrapped her arms around her in a hug their foreheads still touching.

“Tali, welcome home.” Avery finally said after a few moments of just soaking in the mood and good feeling. Everything that was happening with her student Rylin washed away, all that mattered in this moment was Talia also Pandora but Avery did not feel her. “No Pan?” She asked slight sadness mixed with the fact she was overjoyed to see Talia. Though Avery did feel something else she couldn’t yet put her finger on it.
