STRENGTHS
What hit me?: Specially modified to fire stealthed black laser bolts that give off extremely low emissions, so low, that the enemy often cannot even tell if they are being fired at. They fire in quite a rapid stream, in an attempt to overwhelm shields and armor through sheer volley fire. This is based on enlarged, heavily modified versions of tech based on that found in the Dc-19 Stealth Carbine. It also comes packed with two pods full of multiple high capacity homing rockets
Life Support: A heavily rigged healing field generator slowly but gradually seals all but the most fatal wounds. It also has multiple life support systems in both the ship and optional flight suit.
Arcane Blend: Due to the electronic systems, the ship is controlled and steered through the Jedi's will alone, allowing for unparalleled control, due to being directly based on the tech used in Sith Meditation Spheres for pilots to control the ship through brainwaves
Manuverability: Top Notch
Speed: Also excellent
WEAKNESSES
Damage: Has only half the damage of normal laser cannons. Its rockets do only a quarter of the damage of regular missiles. The rocket range is limited to despite their high speed and maneuverability. If it doesn't catch you in the first thirty seconds, its not catching you
Accuracy: What it has in the sheer volume of fire it loses in accuracy.
Overheat: It also cannot fire too often on the lasers, limiting them to twenty second bursts
Focus: As a mental link is required to pilot the ship in the event the Jedi is in capacitated, it cannot take off at all.
Body and Mind: The Jedi, being so intimately linked to their ship, feels slight pain whenever their ship takes a hit. This can be a fatal distraction.
DESCRIPTION
The TIE Cogitator is an experimental design captured at the Foerost Shipyards in a recent military action that freed the world in question. Seeking to increase Saber Squadrons survivability, Syd was able to convince the GA to fund concept models for a whole squadron on an experimental basis.
Apparently intended as part of an ambitious plan to more thoroughly weaponize the Imperial military's nascent Force Adepts considered too weak for the Sith, The Cogitator as it was called is an ambitious but flawed, not fully realized vessel, blending parts of a Sith Meditation Sphere with a TIE Advanced to provide control solely through a mental link with its occupant. Still only in the early planning stages when the blueprints were captured, GA Scientists were forced into a game of guesswork, using technology from the Bromarr Order as a work around to the more complicated devices the prints called for. As an expert on all things Sith, Syd was called to help fully integrate the meditation sphere's mental control tech to modern starfighters. The result is a highly risky to use but deadly craft.
