The Second Thandon Offensive

IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION

TimHzFP.png

After a long period of reflection and reorganization following their first defeat at Brosi, the Imperial Confederation resumed it's offensive against the Sith Order once more targeting the world of Brosi with the intent of avenging their prior defeat and asserting themselves as an emerging power in the galaxy capable of shifting the balance of power away from the Sith Empires and Jedi-loving Democracies. Yet what was meant to mark the beginning of a new era for the Confederation only ended in disaster as once more the Imperial Fleets and Armies that threw themselves against the Sith were repelled on the battlefields of Brosi and Florrum.

Having suffered yet another rout, the Imperial Armed Forces once more limp back to Minntooine to regroup where they can rest and recover from the injuries and socialize as they share the burden of this second defeat. Meanwhile the Imperial Center for Military Operations buzzes with activity as damage reports, casualty lists, strategic assessments and the current statues of all armies and fleets involved in the Battles of Brosi and Florrum continue to flood in.

As the Imperials recover from this humiliating second defeat, Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen has issued a call for all Imperial personnel requesting for after action reports to be delivered effective immediately. Every unit whether they are frontline troops or mere support staff are required to submit a detailed account of their experiences with the Sith defenders. With these reports, the Imperial High Command hopes to learn more about the tactics employed by the Sith and understand how they were defeated despite all their preparations and technological developments in the hopes of avoiding repeating the same mistakes and increasing the Confederation's ability to confront the Sith in future campaigns.

All participants of the Second Invasion of the Thandon Star Cluster are encouraged to join this thread and document their exploits as a summary of the invasion. Please highlight others as well, and feel free to recommend other characters who you believe have earned an award. These reports will be used for potential in-character promotions and rewards

Myself and Dagger Squadron fought hard over Brosi. We encountered an enemy squadron and engaged in a dogfight. However all of us were hit by some cloud of bugs that attacked our ships, seeming to eat away at the electrical components. Both squadrons dropped from the sky into the city below. From there Dagger Squadron took the dogfight to the streets, pursuing our quarry ( Haro Aven Haro Aven and Naamino Zuukamano Naamino Zuukamano ) from the rubble and firing near-sniper shots at them. Our tactics worked as the enemy were injured and retreated behind enemy lines. Being vastly outnumbered, I ordered Dagger Squadron to pull back and regroup to fight another day, rather than risk being captured.

After-action Report
Captain Crus, Commanding Officer, Dread Wolves

I led the Dread Wolves into the city of Raan under cover of darkness, advancing through the southern mountain channels identified during prior reconnaissance. Entry was achieved without detection. Resistance was negligible. Patrol routes were poorly maintained, checkpoints undermanned, and sensor arrays either inactive or deliberately powered down. By 0217 local, we had successfully sabotaged the main transformer banks and deployed EMP charges at secondary substations. The city grid failed in cascading sequence. Raan
went dark in minutes.

Notably, we encountered no organized Sith defense during the operation, minus the makeshift defenses at the power relay station. No counterassault units mobilized, no emergency deployments, no attempt to hold strategic infrastructure. Civilian presence remained high in residential sectors, indicating no prior evacuation order had been issued.

Assessment: the Sith command element had either withdrawn assets before our arrival or deemed the city expendable. In my professional judgment, Raan would have fallen within less than eight hours had Imperial High Command authorized full occupation, instead of full military withdraw. The absence of resistance was not a sign of weakness, but of indifference. Upon receipt of withdrawal orders at 0340 local, I ordered all Wolf elements to exfiltrate via the western transit tunnels. Charges were set to delay grid restoration. We exited with minimal casualties. Mission sub-objective: strategic blackout and proof-of-penetration: achieved.
