HISTORY
The third son of King Uriel Septimus IV, Prince Tiberius "Tiber" Septimus III had the benefit of being far enough removed from the obligations of the throne to pursue his interests without the weight of the Septimus name weighing him down. While completing his studies to the satisfaction of his elders, and performing exemplary in his tour of duty, serving with distinction against several Nagai incursions, Tiber truly enjoyed two things- strengthening his connection in the Force, and civic duty. His brothers- Crown Prince Moldavi Septimus, and Prince Ignatius Septimus- lived a charmed life, their paths pre-determined for them as a result of the order of birth. His father often favored his youngest, seeing him as representing the best of the Septimus Dynasty.
Meanwhile, Tiber- to the amusement his brothers- threw himself in the day-to-day administration of Niahelios, with a portfolio ranging from education reform, to national security. He, unlike his brothers, believed that public service was a noble calling- a calling, as a Septimus, he was obligated to answer. He performed admirably- so much so, he quickly drew the ire of his elder brothers, content to lounge about court, chasing women. But he also drew the attention of Uriel, who(perhaps for the first time), saw an opportunity to carve a path for his son than more than just a spare Septimus. Something beyond a ministerial position, or an advisor to him, or Moldavi.
Seeing his son flourish, he used the opening of Niahelios to the larger galaxy- something his bitterly fought, fearing what it do to Niaheli society- to appoint Tiber as the Senator of Niahelios, raising his standing among the Niaheli as "the bridge to the Galaxy"(to the consternation of Moldavi and Ignatius).
