DESCRIPTION
Based on numerous existing technologies, such as Atmosphere Processors, Atmosphere Modification Units, Molecular Furnaces, and Solid Fuel Converters, the Tibanna Synthesizing Platform is simple. It draws in gasses from practically any source, converts that gas into usable Tibanna Gas and seals it in standard weapon gas canisters.
Simple and effective, so long as the molecular structure is known and can be entered into the computer just about any blaster gas can be produced for usage. Theories about weaponizing the Synthesizing Platform have arisen, but currently nothing as been implemented and the current design doesn't allow for such extensive modifications.
The Platform hovers in the upper atmosphere and siphons off gas into its processors and modulators before storing it, and then sending the usable canisters where they are needed. This is a fast, effective way to resupply a mobile military force or make abundant use of gas giants which do not contain Tibanna and gas clouds with no serious value can no be easily converted into something of worth.
