Description:
The Thunder gun was neat little invention by Vassara. Being a craftsman and a natural mechanic in her spare time she had managed to strip down the basic parts of an E-11 blaster rifle and the standard Concussion Rifle. Seeking to make a more effective pistol for a variety of situations she tried various configurations and modifications to trigger mechanisms and upper receivers.
In the end she went with an LJ-50 Concussion rifle, sawing off the end to shorten the barrel. Two E-11 barrels were built in and triple trigger mechanisms were configured into the upper receivers to facilitate the choice firing of the Thunder gun.
Two triggers fire blaster bolts, the third fires a concussion blast.
One main weakness of the weapon is the loss of barrel length. With a shorter barrel Concussion blasts are less effective at longer ranges, making it necessary to be in close.
The strength of the pistol lays in it's versatility however. Firing two blaster bolts and a concussion blast all at once is a powerful tactic against those that wield a Lightsaber or have slow reflexes.
The last main weakness is bulk. The pistol requires some manuevering as it contains three separate magazines; a power cell, a gas cannister, and Concussion rifle ammunition.
