Scruffy Lookin’ Nerfherder
Week 1:
Seth stared at the plans for a massive ship. An Assault Carrier, it was a prototype and would wield technology beyond most else on the battlefield. Of course, Shorn still had to construct said technology. Millions of credits were pouring in to fund the operation. And Shorn oversaw it, because, well, it would be his ship after all.
"How is it coming, Chief?"
The head engineer, a woman who went by the name Fox, turned around from where she was running calculations. "Fairly well, we've acquired all the basic materials needed for its construction. The hard thing won't be the ship, it'll be those proton beam cannons."
"Ah yes," Seth nodded. The proton beam cannons were capable of ripping through a corvette's shields and shredding it all in a single shot. However, the recharge rate was five minutes and they took an enormous toll on the power systems. Shields would be weakened with their use, as would engines. Which was why the Thrawn would mainly be a stationary ship, protected by a screen of fighters and using long range weapons to defend itself. If anything managed to get close, there would be trouble. But that was what support vessels were for. "I trust the schematics from the Accuser are sufficient?"
She grunted. "They'll do just fine. This thing is going to cost a fortune."
"I suppose then that it is a good thing we have several to spare."
She cracked a smile. "It is, at that."
