Thova 'Mdanam came from nothing. A warrior of the Vaydralen people before they had earned the name, Thova was raised to fight in the endless wars of Caerdar. The 'Mdanam Clan were a rather minor player in the great wars of nations, but their ancient histories held many of the greatest heroes to have died in glorious battles. It was only the fact that most of the battles they died in were defeats that the Clan did not have a greater prestige. When the most recent war of their people erupted, the 'Mdanam Clan were at the forefront of the conflict, and Thova tasted the glories of battle for the first time.
The fighting in the last great Vaydralen civil war was great, and the losses both sides would haunt their people for generations yet to come. Entire Clans were lost in the fighting, and ancient lineages heaped in honor and glories untold were lost in the ceaseless tides of war. The 'Mdanam suffered just as heavily as the rest of their people, and the ranks of their warriors were reduced in such numbers as to risk the Clans extinction. Thova was forced into a position of leadership when his father and elder brothers were killed, and only the sage guidance of his mother, the matriarch of their Clan, saw Thova survive the war. Survive long enough to see the Bryn'adul come to Caerdar, and usher in a new age for Thova's people.
He was on the field the day the Vaydralen warriors fought against the Chieftain of the Bryn'adul, their blades clashing against the aliens unnatural strength. Thova witnessed the defeat of the warriors against the Chieftain, and knew in that instant, as all his people did, that they were witnessing the future. Clan 'Mdanam were one of the first to pledge themselves to the new cause, and the warriors they had left swelled the ranks of the Bryn'adul armies. Thova, due to his family position was given a minor rank at first, but his exceptional military mind, compared to even his notoriously martial people, and combat ability saw him rise through the ranks.
Now, recently promoted to the position of Shipmaster, Thova 'Mdanam seeks to bring further glory to his Clan in the wars that still rage across the galaxy. Through his skill in battle, his devotion to the cause, and his willingness to do what must be done, Thova will bring glory to the Bryn'adul.
