This is Not What Dreams are Made of

Nar Shaddaa
Last Chance Cantina

When Kenzie dreamed of getting out of her house and life away from her father this was not what she had been talking about. She dreamed of going to school, learning more about the Force and making something of herself. What she got was being a server here where men ogled her on a daily basis and customers gave her a hard time. It wasn't her fault that the cook didn't make their burger right! She wasn't back there cooking and yet they still took it out on her and her tip.

A light sigh escaped her lips as she began wiping off the tables in preparation of the night rush. There were barely any customers right this moment but Kenzie wasn't worried as the night was young. People were bound to appear as they did every night. One night she would leave this place and find something better. This was not what she was meant to do for the rest of her life. She dreamed of something more but for right now she needed credits so this would have to do.

Shuffling back to the main counter she picked up the pad she used to take orders with but before she could leave the manager on duty told her that someone called off so that she would be alone tonight. She enjoyed the tips but this would make for quite the stressful night. She was not looking forward to this.

Christian Slade

In Darkness I Thrive
Christian made his way into the Last Chance Cantina, a not so run down hole in the wall restaurant that he'd never been to before and considering he hadn't visited Nar Shaddaa but a handful of times, it wasn't surprising. It was, however, the first place he'd come to after having come to Nar Shaddaa searching for info-chants or even a few rogue Sith to get information out of. His hunt for Sith teachings, both ancient and relative to the times, was never over. He did have to eat, however, and he'd make time to fill his belly when he wasn't pressing people for information.

Finding his way to a table off in the corner of the restaurant, Christian took a seat on one side of the booth and slid in, leaning up against the wall and propping his legs up on the rest of the seat, his legs crossing for comfort, not worrying about his feet dangling over the far edge of the booth. He reached out and grabbed a menu as hostess left him with a fresh glass of water and informed him that a waitress would be with him shortly.

While glancing at the menu briefly, Christian reached out and grabbed the glass of water. Holding it up to his mouth, he tipped it's edge against his bottom lip and took a gulp, swishing it in his mouth once before swallowing it down without hesitation as he waited to be waited on.
