Korriban
Valley of the Dark Lords, Sith Academy
_________________________________________________________

Very few places in the galaxy hold as much history as the Sith Academy on Korriban. Many a great Sith found themselves starting out on this dry, cold planet. A dark presence had long closed its ghostly grasp on the planet and opted to never let go. With each generation of Sith, this planet would find itself under the control of a new Dark Lord. However, times appeared to be changing, Once more the Sith stand shoulder to shoulder under a new banner. The Dark Lord had slaughtered whoever stood before him before laying claim to what is now his.

The Sith Empire.

This empire has expanded far beyond its past boundaries. A large sum of planets had fallen in line to the Sith, whether it occurred willingly or not is another story entirely. Many enemies have risen up to stand against the Empire on the galactic stage. It's the reason so much attention had been given to Korriban. It was the premier place to be educated in the traditions of the Sith, as well as the Dark Side.

Yet, Vaulkhar Zambrano hated Korriban.

He hated how cold it was at every hour of the day. He hated how dry it was, fore it never truly rained. He hated the mass of deaths that numbered in the thousands every year on the red planet. His time spent on the planet was often short and measured as he was always ready to depart at a moments notice. Unfortunately for our lovely Sith Lord, he had been recently stationed on the planet for a most bothersome task; training the acolytes.

There were only two escapes from his own personal Hell, war and apprentices. Every battle off world granted him the opportunity to leave and do anything else. However, the next great battle was some time away and he needed to get out. So, he agreed to take on his own students. Vaulkhar agreed to train the next generation of Sith, in hopes of shaping the future to something a little less heinous.

It was here four strange souls came together.

Vaulkhar stood with his arms crossed, head down. His eyes were closed as he focused on the force. When he sought refuge from Korriban he went where no other could walk; his mind. While he awaited the arrival of his chosen three, he meditated on past battles and future wars.

Valley of the Dark Lords, Sith Academy

_________________________________________________________

The rusty red homeworld of all Sith, both the long dead species and the philosophy that outlived it...never in his life did Trayze Tesar hope to walk among the aged halls of Lords long dead. He had served the Empire, certainly, as a member of the Judiciary Enforcement Corps, but his powers had only recently been understood. Lord Vaulkhar had only recently took him under his wing, training him in combat and the more "practical" aspects of the Force such as telekinesis. Due to his latent psychometry, the Force came back to him naturally as he used his years of experience to new situations. The actual philosophy of the Qotsisajak had been rarely touched upon. Both he and Lord Vaulkhar were men of actions, who enforced and lived out ideals and duties rather than preach of them.

Here however, the reality began to set in. He wasn't a curious companion of the wandering Sith, Trayze Tesar will become an Acolyte, an apprentice, and one day a Sith Lord.

Returning from the library after a great deal of reading, and listening in on the subjects of philosophy, combat, and Sith history, he approached Lord Vaulkhar and bowed. In private and among their journeys, the two were more or less equals, or codependent on one another, but here proper procedure and etiquette must be upheld.

"Milord, why don't you refresh yourself by listening in on some classes. It would behoove you to at least understand what they're teaching people these days." he smiled with a mild sense of humor. "Or do you not think your apprentices will be able to find you in the Temple?"

Trayze knew that he was the latest apprentice of Vaulkhar, and dutifully investigated the others. One "Funami Teriyaki", an insufferably pink pint sized prodigy of both pentulence and psychokinesis, and a Devanorian named "Kalt Bruq". Lord Vaulkhar certainly kept interesting company.

What a pain.

Kalt's instructors had droned on about how he needed a new master to 'teach him some motivation'. Kalt just assumed it was an attempt to get rid of him. They were more than a bit annoyed with how he handled himself. 'You have so much potential but you have the ambition of a Nerf,' one had said to him. Indeed, despite being quiet a lazy nerf, he had shown some potential having already been able to create force illusions. As a duelist he wasn't too bad, given he was comfortable with Makashi, but lightsaber dueling definitely wasn't his strong suit. He was definitely more of a Sorcerer and certainly had the interest in the subjects to back it up.

He wasn't much for assignments though. Not unless it meant a severe punishment. He'd skip out entirely just to spend time in the archives or the libraries. What was the point if he didn't feel like he was learning something useful. He knew more than a few of the masters just had their apprentices to be glorified servants. That's what he would do anyway. All he wanted was to continue learning and to find some comfortable spot in the hierarchy where he wouldn't be treated like a slave, and can do his own thing. He hoped to learn force projection one day so that he could sit around and let his projections do everything. That was a bit more advanced though and maybe it would be better if he just had subordinates to do things for him.

Kalt entered the room where he was supposed to meet his new master. Seeing the two men standing there made him come with the assumption that one was possible the master, and the other was an acolyte, or that both were acolytes. It took him a moment to recognize the face of one of them, it was familiar, but Kalt couldn't quiet... wait, he knew who he was. Kalt nearly did a double take, stepping a little closer to examine him a bit more and confirm his observations. "By the Emperor's ba-" He trailed off as he realized the rest of that sentence probably wasn't something he wanted to say in front of such an individual.

"You must be the Emperor's son, Lord Vaulkhar." He said in surprise. Giving a quick bow of respect, almost out of instinct. He was lazy but he also wanted to live. He also started to wonder if he entered the wrong room.

Aside from practicing Makashi, the pink-haired terror had admittedly not done much in terms of growth. Already proficient in all the best Force powers, Funami simply felt no pressure to learn anything new. Training was for suckers. A born winner, she never really needed to put effort into anything. Telekinesis was the ultimate answer to every problem in the galaxy and the small acolyte treated it as such. It was her weapon, her shield, her wings. Ancient Sith lords would undoubtedly disapprove of her ways, but they were dead and did not care anymore. Because they were dead and not coming back. Ever. She was to pay them a visit on Korriban though, summoned by lord Vaulkhar. His message had reached the pink-haired Sith on her homeworld. Playing video games all day and levitating snacks straight into her mouth, she wasn’t caught doing anything important. Where others toiled away on Korriban and spent all their time in grueling training, Funami spent her free time by procrastinating.

She hoped Vaulkhar’s call to be more than a formality. Constantly traveling from Atrisia to wherever the Sith Empire needed her was not healthy, completely messing up the girl’s sleep schedule. And so the red grains of sand crunched under her shoes once more as she pranced toward the academy. The trek went without a hitch. Other acolytes had learned long ago to stay out of the pink terror’s way. Appearances could be deceiving and Funami served as a living embodiment of the rule, appearing no older than nine or ten. While tiny and childlike, whistling a jolly tune and playfully skipping over the biggest graveyard in the galaxy, the girl had left her share of bodies in the crimson dust. Freed of any ethical of moral restrains, the Force was the greatest weapon one could wield.

The heavy blast door reinforcing the place gave a tormented screech as her telekinesis commanded it open. The small figure of Funami sauntered in, tiny fists resting on her hips, clad in bright-colored casual clothes so uncommon among Sith, and started straight for the Sith lord without bothering with formalities. Two pig-tails happily dangled at the sides of her head and a toothy grin widened on her face as she strode past the two acolytes without giving them as much as a sideways glance.

“Hey, Vaulkhar! How have you been?” The small Sithling asked and immediately pointed a finger toward the two acolytes without ever taking her violet eyes off the Sith lord. “Who’s that?”

The girl’s expression turned pensive, a small frown curled her eyebrows. Suddenly the realization dawned on her, casting a bright smile on her face.

“Oh, are they my competitors? Are we gonna fight to the death, the one to survive gets promoted? I’m up for it!”

The pink terror had freely made her presence known, brazenly bouncing across the tens of thousands of years the sand possessed. Wrenching the hangar door open, the Kiffar could do little more to sigh in exasperation. Her apparent declaration of rivalry with two people she had never met before only irritated him further, but he remained a cordially stoic disposition.

"I certainly would hope not, I would take no pleasure in thrashing a child." Tesar would state, before turning to the Devanorian, then lastly to his Master for non verbal approval. "Though, introductions are in order. This is indeed, Lord Vaulkhar." he addressed the red skinned alien first, then turned to the pink haired child. "And we are all apprentices under him. I doubt Lord Vaulkhar would waste his resources on petty fisticuffs between acolytes...as for names." The Kiffar would straighten his posture, gradually asserting himself in the conversation. "I am Trayze Tesar, Badge 24601 of Precinct 1247, Imperial Judiciary Enforcement Corps, Investigative Division." he announced with a hint of pride. It was his upbringing, and a career he learned many valuable skills. Skills that could easily dispatch the young Miss Teriyaki if she decided to be excessively annoying.

Vaulkhar's eye twitched faintly as the Kiffar strode into the room. As much as he wanted to remain in his happy place, he knew very well this man was the first of three to arrive. Shaking himself from his silent state, his gaze opened and settled on Trayze. Though he would never outright question his apprentice, Vaulkhar found the etiquette somewhat tedious. Tradition was never something he put too much thought into over his long and illustrious career. If his former masters had been right all those years ago on Coruscant, he'd of been dead in one of the numerous invasions he had taken part in. There was never enough time in the day to stress those small things or at least he thought so. Plenty of Sith would likely disagree, but he never really cared about the other Sith. Vaulkhar Zambrano was one of a kind, which was saying a lot given his bloodline.

"Unfortunately, I am required to teach the classes you attend. I needn't refresh my memory on material seared into my mind," the Kiffar's joke was met with slight sarcasm. It was overwhelmingly apparent by the faintest of smiles on the Sith Lord's face he meant nothing by it. He opened his mouth to speak but stopped rather suddenly. Another life form had appeared within his senses, the force extending his perception far beyond line of sight. The two entities near him were tiny blots in the dark side, nothing quite impressive in comparison to a Sith Lord such as himself, but still devastating compared to the common man. Vaulkhar's hand rose to silence Trayze as his attention shifted to the entrance of the hangar.

With Kalt's arrival the faint smile on the halfbreed's face only grew larger. Vaulkhar knew very little about him, but what he did learn from other instructors had truly interested him. Very few Sith lacking ambition showed as much potential as the Devaronian. The last one Vaulkhar could think of was, well, himself. Ambition was a mighty tool to the Sith, one he personally shelved for loyalty to the Empire. To see the acolyte in his current stated was like looking in on his past self. And that was something Vaulkhar could appreciate. Beyond the similarities in personality, the Devaronian had proven himself somewhat capable with a lightsaber. Specifically Form II, one of Vaulkhar's own specialties. Whether it was fated or by the will of the Force, it appeared the horned man was meant to be the Sith Lord's apprentice. Kalt's stuttering and bumbling introduction was forgiven by a wave of the hand.

"Indeed, I am Vaulkhar Zambrano. Son of the Dark Lord himself. It is a pleasure, Kalt Bruq," Vaulkhar wasted no time presenting what information he did have to the latest arrival. "You needn't worry about formalities. Just don't do anything too stupid and you should be fine."

It was at this point the hangar door's screeched open and sent a horrific tearing sound through the hangar itself. Vaulkhar released a heavy sigh as the telekinetic destroyed academy property so nonchalantly. Truth be told, he'd get over it quick enough. A very strange sensation had begun to set in for the halfbreed. Funami was definitely a sociopath, as most Sith were. But Vaulkhar had slowly begun to view the child as a father would. A desire to keep the child safe and see her succeed in life were the biggest reasons he took on the girl. That and the hope of breaking her murderous tendencies and replace them with something a little more.... normal?

"Hello Funami, I am fine," silence stretched between them at her following question. "No... As Trayze put it, these are my other apprentices. You all will be working together for sometime as we build a power base for each of you."

[member="Trayze Tesar"] | [member="Funami Teriyaki"] | [member="Kalt Bruq"]

Kalt rose from the bow once the dark lord had clarified that formalities weren't needed and nodded in acknowledgement. He wasn't really one for formalities himself, so he was happy to not have to follow up with something pretentious. Vaulkhar seemed fairly amused with him so far and he wasn't dead, so that was a good start. He figured by the fact that Vaulkar already knew his name that perhaps he was his chosen master. Getting paired with the Emperor's son was definitely not what he was expecting. He thought he would end up with some harsh master or something out of punishment. Not that such a thing was off the table, he didn't know Vaulkhar that much.

The entrance of what seemed like a little girl threw him off a little. How she manipulated a hangar door so recklessly despite her apparent age was what really made him question things. Was she using an illusion? Or did she just appear that way through other means? Her immediate assumption that they were going to fight to the death for promotion didn't surprise him though. There were plenty of acolytes who seemed to have that attitude, despite the rules against openly killing fellow Sith. Thankfully Master Zambrano corrected her.

Kalt had the typical http://starwarsrp.net/topic/93675-acolyte-armour/]Acolyte[/url] armor, although he had seemingly discarded the cowl, and had the coat wrapped around his waist. The sleeves to his shirt were rolled up, revealing his arms. It was hot on Korriban and wearing all of that armor all day was a chore. Cowls didn't work out very well given the horns, so he usually just wore the outer layers if needed.

The Kiffar introduced himself first. A police officer, and an investigator nonetheless. "Hmm... interesting. Where was your precinct?" Kalt asked.

"As Master Zambrano has stated already, my name is Kalt Bruq. Don't try to pronounce the last name, it'll just sound silly." Kalt followed up with his own introduction, even if it was kind of redundant.

A creature suddenly fell from the ceiling onto the girl's shoulder, landing with a squishy slop. It appeared to be a gastropod-like creature with fur on it's back, as opposed to a shell or nothing. It wiggled around until it gained suction on the girl's shoulder. A master such as Vaulkhar would likely quickly see through the illusion. It didn't entirely seem right nor really native to Korriban. Or at least to the Valley of the Dark Lords. It was mainly something that Kalt had conjured, in order to get a reaction from their not-so-subtle fellow acolyte.

A child.

That was all others saw in her. A little girl with pink hair, acting silly and generally making everyone wonder how someone like her had survived Korriban. The grin on her lips grew, turning almost wolfish. If durasteel yielded to her power, what chance did people have? Soft flesh could only withstand so much. She cast a glance over her shoulder, bearing an unspoken challenge in her violet eyes. All were welcome to try and take her down. Many had tried. And almost that many had died. Rules or not, such were the ways of the Sith. The weak died so the strong could grow stronger. When faced with six feet tall acolytes made of pure muscle, a small half-pint like her had to do whatever it took to protect herself. It was self-defense. Most of it.

The acolyte’s next words knocked the wind out of her.

Apprentices. Other apprentices.

Disappointment pulled down the corners of her mouth. Her distaste for other apprentices stemmed from one simple reason; she wasn’t special anymore. It meant Vaulkhar would waste time and resources teaching them instead of pouring it all into her. Pleading eyes turned to Vaulkhar, begging him to call the pesky acolyte out on his lie. Alas, that was not the case, as from Vaulkhar’s lips rolled a confirmation of Trayze’s words. Pursing her lips and crossing her arms over her chest, the Sithling went off in a sulk.

Sharing was a concept followed by the weak. The strong took what they wanted when they wanted. And Funami definitely did not want to share Vaulkhar!

Albeit mad with the unforeseen development, the girl assumed a formal, almost pleasant expression. Her eyes lit up with glee and her lips curled into a smile as she spun about to face her 'fellow' acolytes.

“Okaaay~,” she simpered and bent her knees in a curtsy. “Hello! I am Funami! Nice to meet you!”

Her words practically dripped with honey.

A nasty thing squished on her shoulder, somehow she had not felt it land. Maintaining her forced smile, the girl cast a glance at the ugly creature and pointed at it with a finger. A blast of psychokinetic power swept over the furry intruder like a tidal wave without producing as much as a flinch from the pink-haired telekinetic.

"Southeast corner of Axxalia, near some of the...rougher parts of town." Trayze would explain to Kalt. He would be present in the conversation, but notice the illusion cast by the Devanorian, and Miss Teriyaki's silent skulking. The drastic change of mood when Trayze informed her that she had to be a team player proved his hopes. That although she was gifted, she still had the mind of a child, one that could be easily daunted and circumvented if need be.

"Nice to meet you as well, Miss Funami." Trayze would reply. It would be best for her confidence and if they were to coordinate together to not actually be rivals. He did not wish to die by pink dyed Force Push, and Trayze knew you don't lay all your chips down in a Sabacc game. "You seem to be very good at psychokinesis."

The tone was sincere, if Funami bothered to use the Force or her latent intuition to discern the motives of the Kiffar. Trayze would speak with Kalt afterwards, for the notion of Force Projection opened a whole new venue of questions. Were they purely mental? Conjured from nearby materials or a more effective hologram? Summoned from the ether? So many possibilities...but for now, the prodigious powderkeg had to be at least dealt with before further questions would arise.

Though the disappointment was easy to read on the young child's face, Vaulkhar said nothing. He had hoped introducing Funami to other Sith in a less deadly encounter would push the girl towards making friends and seeing something beyond the endless competition on Korriban. It appeared to backfire as she forced a pleasant expression over her negative one. Instead of stepping in further, he allowed the trio the opportunity to speak and gain some understanding of one another. It wouldn't be difficult to wave around his title and force it, but his plans would be meaningless if the feelings did not grow naturally. A sigh escaped him as he considered the various ideas that floated around within his mind. A dream for a brighter future had to start somewhere. Why not here?

After the introductions were mostly out of the way, Vaulkhar cleared his throat and awaited their attention. When it inevitably found its way to him, he pushed off the wall and approached the trio.

"Today marks the first day the four of us will be working together. I will instruct each of you to the best of my abilities, but I hope each of you will see me as more than a master. I have studied each of you a decent amount and you have impressed me in one way or another. For that reason alone I have taken a liking to each of you. I wish to see you all succeed and bring new ideas into a stagnant Empire. The philosophies of the Sith are self destructive. If it weren't for the Dark Lord's overwhelming power this empire likely would of shattered into pieces. It is my hope we will further this Empire's goals, your abilities and perhaps bring about something new. Though, I may be getting ahead of myself. For now, all I ask is you familiarize yourselves with one another as well as myself. The Emperor has hand selected our unit for a mission in the coming future. I want to ensure we are prepared."

After the impromptu speech, Vaulkhar returned to his place on the wall. He appeared both casual and comfortable!

Those philosophies were occasionally discussed, and often disagreed over. Through Trayze's own understanding, the use of the Sith Code as well as the Oath of Service that many of the "uplifted urchins" of the Empire swore were not divergent, but rather could be utilized in conjunction. The Code itself, Trayze would argue, wasn't inherently flawed, but merely those who realized that the power they usurped though the Force and in the material world could in turn be usurped. The "problem of conflict" was that some Sith thought their power only reliant upon oneself, and that collective action could not further validate the truth stated in the Code. Therefore, baseless passion and ambition are tempered and encouraged for the betterment of one's society, while also allowing betterment for oneself.

But interpretations and philosophical debates would be held in private. Lord Vaulkhar was still his master, and there was a time and place to question his judgment.

"A mission?" the Kiffar would ask. "From the Emperor himself?" it was indeed a high honor. Vaulkhar may be a distant relation of the Emperor himself, but that relation was rarely ever touched on. Trayze preferred to keep his personal life and his professional life rather separate.

“I am!” The little Sith readily agreed with Trayze’s compliment, nodding. “I’m the best!”

The serious tone of her voice gave away she meant every word of what she said. Truly, Funami’s height to telekinesis ratio was the greatest in the galaxy and she knew it. What did others bring to the table? Funami eyed them cautiously and couldn’t help but notice how old they looked. The age difference between her and others had always struck the Sithling as odd. Whereas her powers had manifested before she could even walk, she guessed it to be a rare case, resulting in one little child conquering the galaxy alongside full-grown adults. The girl actually did not mind that much, it made her feel special.

Snapping to attention at the sound of lord Vaulkhar’s voice, Funami spun about and lent him an ear. It occurred to the girl he was actually a nice guy, showing so much care and trying to make the galaxy a better place. Idealistic, some would call him. Funami among them. The Sith, their code and Empire? Means to an end to the pink-haired acolyte. Nothing more, nothing less. Her decision to further the Empire’s goals stemmed from the reasoning that by doing so, she was helping herself. There was a desire to groom her potential; she needed teachers who could educate her on using the Force. She wanted a piece of that incredible power displayed by the Empire’s rulers, the ability to shape the galaxy at will. And most of all, she craved the freedom to do whatever she wanted with no consequences.

“Good speech! We won’t let you down, promise!” A warm, encouraging smile crossed her lips and her hands started clapping as Vaulkhar’s speech reached its end. There wasn’t a hint of feigned emotions this time. Either a very good actor or actually genuine for once, the girl appeared excited at the prospect of growing and tackling the task assigned by the Emperor himself.

“What are you guys good at?” She asked, head turning from one acolyte to the other. Everyone knew what she excelled at, but it rarely went the other way around.

Kalt nodded at Trayze's response to his question about where he served in enforcement. "Not too familiar with Axxalia unfortunately but maybe I can ask you about it later." Kalt came from a relatively remote settlement, so the likelihood he would even encounter someone familiar on Korriban much less among his new group was pretty slim, but still it was worth investigating.

Kalt sighed at Funami's response to the slug. He couldn't even get a reaction of disgust from her. The slug was a bit more persistent though. It wasn't a tangible projection unfortunately so there was a brief moment when the slug didn't react to the sudden shift in physics. He dismissed the illusion once it got clear of the girl's shoulder.

Their master went into detail about his intentions, about how he intended to bring something new into the empire, as it seemed to be stagnant. The history of the Sith were certainly not missed on Kalt. There was a clear pattern of a rapid and an almost equally, if not more-so, rapid fall. However, each iteration brought improvements. Hopefully they wouldn't have to go through another collapse just to see more improvements to the new Empire. Granted he wasn't exactly excited to get sent straight into an assignment. "We're already set up for a mission?" He asked and almost immediately sighed as it was kind of a redundant question. Or rather it was him complaining. And I wanted to practice more on my illusions, Kalt thought to himself.

Trayze and Funami both seemed to be positive toward the fact that they were being asked to go on a mission by the Emperor. Kalt supposed he ought to at least give himself credit if he's managed to get the attention of the Emperor's kriffing son. Though that seemed to come with attention from those higher up as well. Funami broke the ice a little and asked about everyone's abilities. "With a lightsaber I seem to be okay with Makashi, but it's not exactly my specialty. My real interest is in mind tricks, illusions, and other mental force abilities. I'm not too bad with telekinesis either. Still learning on how to get projections down though."

Vaulkhar returned Funami's smile before returning his attention to the group as a whole. Very few were given the honor of direct orders from the Dark Lord himself for the most part. Vaulkhar had spent most of his life working beneath his father in various degrees. Whether it be commanding forces in battle, assaulting enemies in direct combat or more subtle work, Vaulkhar had proven himself time and time again to the Emperor. It was a fact he kept mostly to himself, with both his personal life and mission history shrouded in secrecy. Had he not sought to better understand his pupils he'd prefer to keep it that way. But trust had to be built between them to ensure teamwork could flourish between them. On the field of battle, even a slight misstep could bring doom to not only one's self, but those around them as well.

"Indeed, while the details will remain with me for now it is imperative we do not fail. As such, I'll share what I can about myself with each of you," Vaulkhar took a deep breath as he considered his past. What could he share? Most of his life bad been kept hidden away for not only his success, but also that of the empire's. "I am the son of the Dark Lord. Beside my father, we have conquered dozens of planets under the banners of both the Sith Empire and the fallen One Sith. While most of my mission history is shrouded in shadow, I can tell you I have fought on planets such as Contruum, Balmorra and Mandalore. There are few within the empire as well versed as I in lightsaber combat, with it being a specialty of mine. Much like my father and young Funami here, I was and still am considered prodigious in my control of the Force. From before I could walk I could see and feel with the force to a level beyond that of even the Miralukan people. I intend on training each of you to master both your weapon and the force itself."

Vaulkhar stopped for a moment and considered his next action. Only two men were aware of what he was about to share with the trio.

"I specialize in killing Sith. My father has trained me to protect both this empire from external and internal threats alike. I am the Fist of the Emperor. I am his Wrath."

[member="Kalt Bruq"] | [member="Funami Teriyaki"] | [member="Trayze Tesar"]

Makashi and telekinesis. The list of what she and Kalt had in common was painfully short, especially since the little Sithling had zero interest in pursuing the path of illusions and mind manipulation. It did, however, shed light the nasty critter on Funami’s shoulder, giving away the furry fiend was never there and explaining its unusual resistance to her concussive blast. Sticking a finger right through the creature and watching the mind lie disappear, Funami lifted her eyebrows in realization the acolyte had, indeed, played a trick on her.

Gritting her teeth and concealing an angry grimace, the Sithling swallowed her insults and suppressed the urge to prank him in return. All in due time though. For now, her attention returned to the Sith lord as he unveiled his past.

New to the order, she did not know much about the Sith and their numerous titles. The positions of Wrath and Fist of the Emperor sure sounded important though and Funami guessed Vaulkhar really high in the pecking order. If true, then it meant the pink-haired Atrisian had nestled herself quite close to the Empire’s finest and that pleased her greatly. Believing herself the greatest, Funami desired only the finest Sith to further her advancement. The girl’s devious little mind immediately started plotting.

“So does that mean you are the Dark Lord’s successor? If the Emperor dies, you take over?” She asked with feigned innocence and felt as confusion wrinkled her brow. “It just crossed my mind. No reason.”

Ambitious at heart, Funami immediately figured out the true reason Vaulkhar had taken so many apprentices. It was obvious; to build his own power base and either lead a coup later on or prevent the Empire from falling apart should the current big bad Emperor perish. That was what she would do, seize power and claim as big a slice of the Empire as possible.
