SPECIAL FEATURES

DESCRIPTION

Each energy bow comes enchanted by two spells utilized by the Dathomirian Witches. The first is known as Spell of Cinders. This spell automatically enchants each arrow fired from the bow with an engulfing flame capable of setting ablaze structural targets, individuals, and such. The arrows can penetrate most armor classes, possibly setting the armor on fire depending on the materials used in the armor's creation. The second spell, Chant of Resurrection, possess a fifty percent chance of activating. The spell activates only when a target dies, raising them from the dead and turning them into a ravenous zombie attacking anything in plain sight, with the undead 'living' for no more than five minutes before collapsing. The spell cannot be controlled by the bow caster, for this spell's effect is purposed for stirring chaos among the ranks of the enemy.

The energy bow was created by the Nardithi Nightsister Coven for the unified Witch Kingdoms as a gift of 'friendship'.

STRENGTHS
  • Lightsabers / Energy Weapons: With the armor piece manufactured from beskar, it provides the wearer enhanced protection against both lightsaber strikes and direct shots by energy, and plasma, weapons and attacks.
  • Spell Infusions: Each armor piece is infused with two Dathomirian spells, Spell of Awareness and Protection. Each spell grants the wearer benefits from the two spells. From Spell of Awareness, it heightens their senses allowing to detect incoming danger more quickly. It doubles the effect for a Force sensitive's natural ability of Force Sense. The second spell, Spell of Protection, is automatically activated and it creates a form fitted protection bubble around the wearer, which protects against both energy and physical matter.

WEAKNESSES
  • Spell Negation: The spells can be negated or partially weakened by certain Force abilities or technologies that target such applications.
  • Time Consuming Creations: Because of the two spells associated with the armor piece, it takes time to enchant the armor piece making each armor piece more valuable.

DESCRIPTION

With the joining of the Witch Covens and Clans on Dathomir, it was decided that to better protect Mother Dathomir, and one another, that they needed to create weapons, armor, and other aspects of war; offensively and defensively. Though they were not a mighty empire or powerful government, they would need to craft from what resources that was readily available to them.

First, the armor piece consists of shoulder to wrist guards, with the option for covered hands on both sides of the body. From the hips to midriff, and up to the breast area, and all around that section of the body, the armor piece would protect the wearer. For this, the alloy used was beskar, a resource available to the Nightsisters via the current Mandalore. White dyed Dathomiri spider silk was weaved as the underlying fabric from which the armor piece was set. This was the byproduct of two ancient cultures.

Another resource available to them was the Spirit ichor, or Magic ichor, that sided the witches in spell weaving. The spells of Awareness and Protection were chosen, further cementing protection for the wearer. The armor piece's most prominent strength was protection, mainly against lightsabers, energy and plasma-based weapons, both melee and ranged, as well as against physical matter.

SPECIAL FEATURES

STRENGTHS
  • Tainted Love: Each sword produced is infused with a tainted Nightsister Crystal, that releases a choking, putrid green smoke when touched by the weapon bearer. The smoke reaches out toward the target, engulfing them. Its main purpose is to cause physical disorienting.
  • Shocking: Each sword produced is enchanted with the Nightsister spell, Spell of lightning. When the sword is sheathed, using a special sheath, the spell is dormant. When it is unsheathed, ripples of purple energy dance along the blade, and explodes with high powered energy when it comes into contact with an object. The shock is not powerful to kill, but it is powerful enough to burn and cause pain; enough to disarm an opponent or in some instances, render an individual unconscious.

WEAKNESSES
  • Spell Negation: Like most enchanted, or alchemized, weapons, these swords are susceptible to certain Force abilities that can possibly disrupt or "short out" the attached spell.
  • Size Does Matter: For a sword, it is smaller than the traditional size for its weapon classification. Against longer swords, it could pose problems for the wielder, less they possess good swordsmanship.

DESCRIPTION

The swords were created for two main purposes. The first was to give the Witches a melee weapon they could utilize without relying on certain magical abilities; whilst granting them a formidable weapon. The second reason was to provide the Witches with a melee weapon that almost mirrored a lightsaber; with added features.

Songsteel was used for manufacturing the hilts, giving the wielder a lightweight balance in their hands when utilizing the sword. Cortosis was used for the blade itself, for its ability to absorb energy, like blaster shots, and to repel lightsaber strikes, going as far as shorting them out, granting the wielder two prospective defensive measures.

The blades are not super sharp, but it can do damage in the event the spell is negated. Also, with the size of the sword being as it is, it makes for an excellent choice for wielding one in each hand.
