OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create an antagonist/goal for future RPs.
  • Image Credit: Diane Kruger in In the Fade
  • Role: A Sith woman employed by the mysterious "Lord of Doubt", she is the only lead currently available in the investigation into Miri's abduction and experimentation.
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Introduced in the thread Do You Know Where Your Children Are?
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: Between 30 and 40.
  • Force Sensitivity: Knight
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: A blonde of medium height and slender build. She is fair-skinned with blue eyes. Seems to prefer utilitarian clothing in muted colors (gray, brown, black). She has the ability to alter her features somewhat using the Force, appearing young or old, beautiful or ugly, healthy or sickly, or even looking like a totally different person, but she cannot alter her species or mass.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Thetis Suzerain (probably not her real name)
  • Loyalties: The Sith Empire/the "Lord of Doubt"
  • Wealth: She has access to her master's funds, so I would say she is quite rich.
  • Notable Possessions: Unknown; she presumably has access to various resources provided by her master, including vehicles, weapons, armor/clothing, and property.
  • Skills: While she is a Sith Knight with many abilities, she concentrates her powers on deception and misdirection. These include Force Mask, False light side aura, Force cloak, Doppelganger, and of course Mind Trick. She also seems to have some degree of medical knowledge, at least when it comes to administering drugs and poisons.
  • Personality: A woman who kidnaps children, abuses and experiments on them is clearly evil. This wicked, treacherous woman may be only a lackey of a much more powerful figure, but that doesn't make her any less dangerous. Determined, driven, and malevolent as well as deceitful and dishonorable, she serves two masters—herself, and the Lord of Doubt. Everyone else is disposable.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: A single-bladed lightsaber with a clear blade
  • Combat Function: In lightsaber combat she favors Ataru. She can use the Force in various ways, both defensive and offensive.
Strengths:
  • + Sith Knight: She is trained in the use of the Dark Side of the Force at the level of Knight.
  • + Subterfuge: Her powers are geared toward deceiving others.
  • + Ataru Specialist: Her lightsaber combat style is notably aggressive, as she takes the offense and seeks to wear down her opponent.
  • + Medical Knowledge: She played a significant role in the experiments (but was probably not the primary scientist involved), and has an above average knowledge of drugs and poisons.
  • + Tracker: She can track a target from planet to planet, hounding them like a bloodhound.
  • + One Step Ahead: She can use the Force to probe the thoughts of others, learning their plans and intentions beforehand.
Weaknesses:
  • - Not Tech Savvy: She required the assistance of another when it came to altering computer records and disabling alarm systems, which indicates she is not proficient when it comes to technology.
  • - Poor Communication Skills: Her partner-in-crime revealed that she failed to inform him of her true intentions and plans, resulting in a botched operation. Apparently she is so intent on maintaining secrecy that she over-complicates things for her allies.
  • - Relies On Predictability: In combat with an opponent who doesn't follow a predictable set form, she is left at a disadvantage. Likewise, if you behave in ways she doesn't expect, you can throw her off your trail.
  • - No Honor: She doesn't care if running away from an unwinnable scenario makes her look cowardly, as she has no concept of honor.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Transcript of the interrogation of Thetis' partner-in-crime, the conman Elwick Wesley Fenton, conducted by Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red :

RED: "First. Tell me about your partner, the Sith. I want to know everything about her, her name, her age, where she's from, everything."

FENTON: "Thetis Suzerain. Her name is Thetis Suzerain. That’s T-H-E-T-I-S S-U-Z—all right, you got it. She’s, uh… well, she looks young, but you know how it is with the Sith these days. Everyone’s an ageless Dark Lord with ‘powers some may consider to be unnatural’... I don’t know where she’s from. We were headed to Telos… That may not even be her real name. All that I know about her comes from what little she told me. I’ve worked with her before, but not in a job like this."

RED: "Elwick Wesley Fenton. That is your name, yes?"

FENTON: "Yes, yes, that is my name. I'm sure you can see the full criminal record from here. It's long and colorful. But you don't care about all that... I’m an escape artist and a con man, so she hired me to… kidnap an orphan. Not that it was particularly difficult. Shameful, really, how little security there is in Alderaanian orphanages. But Thetis wanted this girl in particular. I don’t know why… All right, I do know why! It was the girl’s father. She said he's some sort of scientist—or he was. But I looked him up for curiosity’s sake, and all the records said he was a history professor!”

RED: "Calm down, you're safe here, unless you lie to me. You know, the Sith told me a very similar story, about the girl's father, and that he is not really who he says he is, and that the girl's parents were killed in a transport accident. I've looked into that, there were no survivors, but apparently, a couple of years later his status was changed back to living. Weird, right? Also, the man is not Force sensitive, but his daughter is. Mind explaining that?"

FENTON: "That's right, her father was here at the spaceport, wasn't he? Showed up out of the blue. What do you call that? It can't be a coincidence, surely. Do you suppose Thetis may have been trying to save that poor little orphan from a far worse fate? Maybe the man claiming to be her father is an impostor with even more nefarious intentions. Ever think of that, Jedi?"

RED: "Yes, I did consider. And, Thetis told me something very similar about the man. I too have my own suspicions about him, his story is odd, and there is this strange aura about him. It isn't the Force, no, it's something else. But really, who am I going to trust more? A low-level petty criminal and a Sith? Or a man with no criminal record whatsoever who wants his daughter back, but just 'feels weird'? Also, he is her father, the DNA tests came up positive. (pause) The girl herself has elaborated about waking up in a container like a pod, with tubes all over her. Mind explaining that?"

FENTON: "Oh, um... well, I... I'm no scientist myself, but Thetis might've... done a few things to the girl. Not that I know anything about that stuff. I'm not even sure what she was trying to accomplish with this whole operation, okay? Her motives were a mystery to me. I knew why she picked this girl in particular, but not the significance of the child being the daughter of this man specifically. And anyway, how do you know her father isn't Force sensitive? Or maybe she got it from her mother—"

RED: "I know he isn't Force sensitive because, you want to know something? That Mandalorian that beat you up? He's Force sensitive, too. We both didn't feel anything from him. And he even told us that his wife was not Force sensitive. But, I think you do know more than you're letting on. I think you do know the Sith's motives, and that you do know what she did to the girl."

FENTON: "All right, you've made your point... Goodness, it's hot in here."

RED: "You alright? Want something to drink?"

FENTON: “Maybe that will help... (he is given water and drinks) Let's put it this way. I helped Thetis get the girl off Alderaan a few months ago. My involvement was supposed to have stopped there. But then she called me up again only a couple of weeks ago, saying she needed my help getting from Samovar to Telos. I don't know where she took the girl between the two times I was hired, so anything could have happened then... As for the girl's father, Thetis told me he was a scientist, but the records disagree! I don’t think Thetis would have been mistaken, she’s much too smart for that… and I believe it when you say the girl was experimented on. And if she was experimenting on her because of the father… was she trying to get back at him for something, or was this a kind of gift for him? His lost child suddenly returned to him with incredible powers at her disposal. But how and why and whatever for? Was her father involved with Thetis somewhere along the line, a rival colleague, estranged relative, an ex-girlfriend even? The possibilities are endless…”

RED: "Hold on, you said Samovar? What was she doing on Samovar?"

FENTON: "I haven't the foggiest idea! Or at least, I didn't when she called me from there. Something about trying to 'follow the leader'... (lengthy pause) They were supposed to find her father there. Something must have gone wrong. Maybe Thetis couldn't find him on the planet, couldn't reach him. So she followed him here. But she didn't let me in on the plan, just said we were headed to Telos. Was that her backup in case he didn't want the kid? I rushed to find the girl as soon as I realized she was missing. Didn't think twice about it. Thetis couldn't stop me without causing a scene. That was what all this was about—not causing a scene. Not leaving any tracks. Or..."

RED: "Yes, she did tell me some questionable things, stuff that most likely was to distract me, but, you can't help but wonder, what if it was true? Did she tell any place to go if you ever were discovered and you had to make a run for it?"

FENTON: "She told me to run, to act like I was leaving the planet. So she could get away with the kid, I thought. But she didn't leave immediately. She stuck around. Did she think he would be the one who came to confront her? But he didn't. It was you, a random element. So she changed her plans. What did she tell you? Something to get you off her back, I imagine. To make you doubt yourself. Lord of Doubt... Do you think he knows? Where is he now?—"

RED: (observing that Fenton appears ill and feverish) "Medic! Someone get a medic in here! Hey, stay with me. Can you tell me anything else?"

FENTON: "Telos... I have to go to Telos..."
