Their thoughts his cage (Veldar Tor'Vaas)

Gir nodded at [member="Veldar Tor'Vaas"]'s relevation to him. It made him feel a bit more relaxed to know that the being in front of him wasn't solely interested in electrocuting everyone in sight, nor that he didn't know several thousand ways to do it. Snowat nudged Gir's arm, and handed the man his datapad. Gir's eyes rapidly swept across the words, before turning it back over to Snowat with a nod of approval. The grand admiral turned his eyes back on 24601.

"It is my pleasure to say that we can do that," said Gir, jerking a finger at the ithorian, "Captain Snowat has determined that you officially were a unlawfully coerced combatant on Terrijo, which clears the way for us to move forward. So where shall we begin?"

Once again, he started to think on [member="Gir Quee"]'s words. He didn't have a clue about where they should begin. "Well," he began. "I suppose we should start with a question...Do you have any use for me?"

"I think we do," said Gir, "the galaxy is still at war, after all. There will be a need for those who can fight, like you and I, even if we all fight in our different ways. I think we need to get a better understanding of how your body works before we go to actual combat, as dreary as a prospect that may seem. It would be best if we know how to patch you up a little bit better if you are injured in combat, and maybe to fully see what you can do with your abilities so we know what we can put you up to, and so you can know your own limits. But participating in this process would be your choice. If you feel comfortable already with your abilities, we could move to actual action."

"...Hmmm...." pondered 24601. He had been grossly under prepared for the military forces that had confronted him. "...Well, I don't think that I'm all that experienced. If you teach me how to fight, than maybe you and others can learn something about..." he gestured vaguely at his body "...this...."

"I'm a guinea pig...an experiment either way...The only difference is that you're the good "guys"...Might as well not let all of this---" he gestured at himself once more "---go to waste..."

While Gir thought that it would seem odd to think of oneself as an experiment, he found that there wasn't any errors in his logic. At least none that he was aware of. Still, it was strange. The man did not want to move 24601 into super strenuous activities right from the get-go, it was not something he was wanting to rush into. As the energy being has just said, there was only one of him, which would have made him precious even if he wasn't a living being. The grand admiral could only nod in agreement.

"We will teach you what we know," said Gir, "but with your physiology, I imagine it will be a learning experience for both of us. I will need to make some preparations for that before we can get started on your training, so I will be leaving shortly, along with Captain Snowat, who has to talk to several people about some legal issues with you. But for now, VTC-303 can help enlighten you on the outside world..."
