SPECIAL FEATURES

> Easily transportable. Manufactured in various sizes.
> Larger generators provide substantial energy reserves.
> Smaller generators can be recharged on the fly.
> Preemptive warning system activated by Naboo Recon Relay Stations within the system and its neighbors.

Strengths:

[ + ] Shields of tier two or three are highly portable, lightweight, and can be recharged with power packs. Designed for infantry and small vehicles.
[ + ] Shields of tier four are portable, provide infantry and vehicles with boosted protection from high capacity explosives, cannons, blasters, and similar ordinance.
[ + ] Shields of tier five and above are designed to protect infrastructure and key checkpoints. While still portable, it will require equipment to transport.
[ + ] Shields of tier five and above are designed to integrate within the NRRS grid to automatically activate when under threat of invasion.
[ + ] Shields of tier six and above are designed to withstand bombardment, vehicle weaponry, and similar heavy ordinance. Requires small vehicle transport.
[ + ] Shields of tier seven are designed to withstand prolonged siege of infrastructure. Cumbersome to move, requiring cargo transport to relocate.

Weaknesses:

[ - ] All shield generators are vulnerable to EMP and ION based attack.
[ - ] Field disruptors allow infantry or vehicles to completely bypass the shields.
[ - ] All shields will fail after becoming over-stressed. The higher the tier shield, the more resilience it has. Tier 7 can withstand prolonged sieges lasting days if not weeks.
[ - ] Generators themselves are made from standard quality material and thus easily destroyed by conventional weapons if the shield has been bypassed.
[ - ] Shields of tier five and above require periods of recharge once depleted and cannot be recharged via power packs.
[ - ] Should the NRRS grid fail, activation of the shield generators must be done manually.

DESCRIPTION

The war between the Alliance and its neighbors, including the Sith Empire, the First Order, and Galactic Empire were beginning to reach a climax. With multiple catastrophic defeats, Naboo had begun to suspect that an invasion may eventually become a reality. The destruction wrought by war in those systems was evident. It was with this in mind that the Royal Naboo Security Force began plans to create a means of protecting Theed from a similar casualty of war. Despite maintaining its neutrality, the citizens of Theed began to grow worried that its location on the fringe of Alliance space was no longer the security blanket that it had been. Space was getting smaller it seemed. The RNSF developed, in conjunction with Royal Naboo Shipwrights a series of immensely powerful portable infantry and infrastructure shield generators.

Enough so to protect Theed's modest military force, key infrastructure buildings, and limited vehicles, all while remaining adequately powered even under the most terrible of sieges. With eyes in neighboring systems, as well as Naboo's own, the NRRS act as early warning detection for Theed and the shield grid, allowing automatic activation of deployed shields instantaneously. If these sensors are all destroyed, activation and deactivation must be handled individually. While this is an incredibly powerful shield grid, protecting the planet's key infrastructure, mobile infantry, and vehicles, it must be strategically deployed to important areas, with the proper tier used for the intent it is designed to protect.
