DESCRIPTION

(At least a paragraph description of your corporation. Particularly for player-made corporations, this should detail some of the processes of how the company does business. Does it accept private manufacturing requests? Is it loyal to a particular government or faction? Are they a benevolent corporation, or do they grind planets into dust for money? It's the little details like this that we're looking for.)

RATIONALE

The Zero Corporation can trace its origins back to a joke.

Following the sudden and inexplicable collapse of the Zweihander Union, it's vast intelligence apparatus found itself rudderless. An attempt to integrate members of the Intelligence & Security Bureau, the Bewachen, the Die Stille Hand, and other specialized and intact branches of the former Union into the N&Z Umbrella Corporation failed without the steady hand of Credius Nagarth and eventually the powerful technology conglomerate itself would fall prey to the same instability that plagued the Zweihander Union. In between all of this, the core political class of Union power-brokers fled to the safety of Eternal Imperial space, leaving their subjects behind in misshapen, poorly managed rump states that had more in common with the Bakura Imperial Remnant of the past than Zsinj's Empire.

Unlike the Imperial Remnants however, infighting was rare. These Zweihander holdouts had done what the N&Z Corporation had failed to do and successfully integrated the remaining assets of the fallen Union and corporation alike albeit in a haphazard and decentralized fashion. They remained in contact with one another and established a pseudo-confederation that aligned itself temporarily with the New Imperial Order during the Second Great Hyperspace War. Upon the collapse of both the New Imperial Order and Ashlan Crusade, the remnants look toward their past to provide guidance for the future.

This of course, led to the aforementioned joke. A meeting between former Supreme Joint Chief and Ashlan High Lord Tristan Evore and confederation spokesperson and former Zweihander Secretary of the Interior, Erick Pryde led to a decision by Evore to intervene in the fate of the Zweihander Remnant. Evore lamented the state of his former countrymen and was consigned to improve the conditions of the soldiers once under his command. He joked to Pryde that if only the remaining assets of the Union could be consolidated into a vehicle for profit, to uplift the remaining citizenry without conscripting them to further military service.

This off handed remark led to the creation of the Zero Corporation.
