Character The Wonderworker

Name: Faramond Siddens – The Wonderworker
Faction: N/A (Previously Agents of Chaos)
Rank: Miracle Maker
Species: Human
Age: Twenty-Six
Sex: Male
Height: 5’6 (1.67 Meters)
Weight: 140~ Pounds (63 Kilograms)
Force Sensitive: Yes

Appearance:
Standing at a relatively short size, and a meager frame the Wonderworker strikes a meek and unimposing figure, immediately marking him as an individual of seemingly minor threat.

Perhaps the most immediately apparent feature of the proselytizer is the relatively featureless mask he wears, an unsurprising apparatus in a galaxy torn with nigh constant conflict and anonymity. Behind the tool of concealment lay eyes of a bright brown, and a face which has managed to remain relatively unscathed; it is nothing to gawk upon in admiration nor revulsion.

Notably, the healer has long since lost any presence of hair upon the dome of his head, likely as a result of the method through which he works his “miracles”. Elsewhere, the occasional black fuzz upon his starkly contrasted Caucasian skin signifies that he would have been dark-haired had the follicles not rotten entirely.

Biography:
With such substantial conflict ripping through the galaxy, it is inevitable that those whose households are threatened will take precautions to guarantee their survival. Such groups form the basis of refugees, of looters and raiders, and of the nomadic gangs which jump from planet to planet, attempting to stay a step ahead of the vicious crucible of warfare.

Faramond was born to one such group of travelers whose self-imposed isolation from the rest of the galaxy, and overall negative disposition towards the armed conflicts therein led to a number of strange developments: communal child-rearing, nomadic settling, and an adherence to a series of cult beliefs which wrought their way through the community.

Faramond soon found himself embroiled in these beliefs as his ability to manipulate the invisible Force was discovered at an early age. While this manifested itself at first only in the exceptionally mediocre; he would occasionally fling a stone on accident using a telekinesis he barely recognized he possessed, as he grew, his abilities began to expand towards a particular use.

It was during an apprenticeship with communal doctors that the gift Faramond possessed became noted, the strange transfer of wounds and afflictions that others possessed onto himself. This power was wrought of great emotion, and the strain was incredible upon the young man, leading him to quickly grow ever more distant from the members of the nomads, even his blood relatives. Utilizing his power, Faramond took a toll nearly too great to fathom into his own form in the attempt to save others, leaving him a wretched and weak form filled to the brim with diseases, and leaking vim out of a hundred fresh wounds.

In this state of destitution, Faramond became a figure of importance among his community, despite his youthful age, and came to be recognized as the Wonderworker; the performer of miracles. Drowned in the pain of others, Faramond was forced to discover a method of survival: To give the weaknesses he had gained to others.

Perhaps the Wonderworker would have remained forever with the herd of frightened nomads if they had not been caught mid-trip by a band of piratical interlopers, and forced to scatter. Seeking refuge among the strong, the miracle-maker directed those in his company to seek out the governing body whose policies would guarantee their survival… whose iron-hands would provide protection from fear.

Instead, he found anarchy and madness. Folly in the form of chaotic agents of change convinced that their radical crusade against imperialism and authority would somehow alter the galaxy beneficially. He disapproved greatly of their methodologies in many ways, of their over-reliance of force, of the willingness of so many to cause harm for harm's sake to easily mislead civilians.

He made strides in diplomacy and bouts of charisma during his tenure with the Agents, biding his time as he became more acutely aware with galactic affairs and solidified himself as a helper to their organization. Whether friend or foe fell, he made a point of providing his miracles equally to those who were present... and quietly shuffling off these wretched diseases and disabilities to an unending stream of vermin and ne'er-do-wells who wouldn't be missed.

With the collapse of his chaotic handlers as a major power on the scene of the galaxy, Faramond left to continue his studies in anatomy, medicine, and persuasion. He has emerged only recently from his hiding... intent on beginning a subversive institution of his own creation.

Strengths and Weaknesses
  • Resilient - Constantly torn and broken by his gift, the Wonderworker is well-acquainted with the burden of pain. To suffer in the name of one's values is the greatest honor, and it is accepted.
  • Patient - There is no rushing perfection. This is a lesson that has been quickly learned and applied.
  • Weak - While not pathetic, the form of the Wonderworker has not been inclined towards acts of great physicality.
  • Non-combatant - To mend flesh is the nature of the miracle-worker, to tear it asunder is rare, and never with the point of a blade.
Gifts (Force Powers)
  • Dark Heal - Serving as the main talent of the Wonderworker, a variant of this ability allows for the transfer of physical wounds and conditions from another person to himself or between two living others. It can only be done through physical contact.
  • Telepathy - The main defense of the Wonderworker is an insidious mental defense which causes an extreme nausea and disgust to arise when one attempts to harm the healer. This defense can only be performed in person, and could be blocked out by stronger Forcers, or the Force-Dead.
