Naniti,
It's late! I know this because I've checked the time more than once, hoping it might somehow change its mind! Normally exhaustion does a pretty good job, but not tonight. Sooo, I stopped pretending it would and decided to write you.
I've been back and forth on Thrantin these past few days, keeping to my routines. I'm sure that doesn't surprise you though. One of the domes here reminds me of Desevro, and I suppose that was enough to make me realize how long it's been since we last had a chance to train together. I've also been eating quite terribly by your standards. Especially the meat. I can already hear the critique. Now I'm bracing for them out of habit.
Maybe it's the cold finally settling in, or something I haven't quite found the language for yet, but the surroundings have had me thinking about our time on Ilum. Somewhere between that and the visit to Nar Shaddaa, I was reminded how strange memory can be. Those places couldn't be more different, could they? I suppose the people shape them more than we admit. Either way, those moments feel clearer to me now.
Things have been busy on my end, but also quiet. Mostly little whispers and conversations here in the Tapani Sector. More of the Covenant is slowly arriving. I suspect I'll see you before long.
Lately, I keep wondering what's been on your mind. Has anything interesting or new at the academy caught your attention recently? Anything you're looking forward to, even if you're totally pretending not to think about it yet? Tell me something small about your day. I'd like that.
I should attempt sleeping again after this.
