The Vertical City

Fletcher and his Master, Anastasia, had been assigned to a routine mission on Nar Shaddaa, after a mild disturbance in the Force was sensed there. He thought nothing of it, it was probably just nothing. Fletcher was becoming frustrated that they hadn't been given any real missions lately.

The Padawan practically leapt off the ship, full of energy. He wore dark clothes to allow himself to blend in with the surroundings of the disgusting moon. There was no planet he hated more than this one. The crime ridden, filthy, polluted planet certainly wasn't an enjoyable or safe place to be.

"Do you think we'll actually find anything, Master?" he called out to Anastasia, though not looking back to her. The air here even tasted filthy. It would be hard to find anything in this nest of criminals, but with the Force on their side, they had an advantage.

The first time he had been to Nar Shaddaa, he had been stuck there for days without having any communication with the Jedi. The Padawan had made up some excuse for his absence at the time and had yet to admit that he had been to the moon before.

It was very weird for her to be called master. Ana didn't feel like one nor did she see herself as one. She was just helping him find the potential he had within himself so that he could go out and do great things. He had been a lost little boy and she knew how being lost felt as she at one time had been lost herself. He needed her for now at the very least but very soon she believed that he would be just fine without her. He could fly off with the Jedi order or whatever it was he wished to be or do. She wouldn't make him stay around the Mando'd with him. She didn't believe that was where he fit in the most.

"It's possible. There is something hidden behind every corridor and I'm sure someone knows something. We may want to speak with some locals to get a better handle of the situation." She was only suggesting it for the moment as she wasn't sure how he would take speaking with criminals. Ana herself had no quarrels with it. She did what she had to in order to get the job done.

Fletcher glanced over his shoulder at [member="Anastasia Rade"]. He enjoyed to go places with her, plus it was some of the only time he got away from the temple or Academy. "I know there is." he said, though he didn't say how or why he knew.

The Padawan spoke without looking at her, but instead at the streets ahead. "Are you sure that's a good idea, Master? I mean people here don't look like they'd take too kindly to Jedi, or outsiders for that matter." he questioned her, though sounding rather grumpy. Though he was almost eighteen, he was still quite a long way from becoming a Jedi Knight, and after all, still a teengager.

Lord Ajihad was positioned very high up in a building that was positioned right by a landing pad. A landing pad that two Jedi had just landed on. He cracked his knuckles. Time to kill a couple of lightsiders.

He peered through a small window, his cybernetic eye scanning the two figures that had just exited the ship. He didn't need a scanner to recognize [member="Fletcher Lorcan"] . He had heavily injured the Padawan on Tatooine, and the Knight looked forward to doing so again. His scanners identified the second person as [member="Anastasia Rade"] , a Jedi master.

He looked at [member="Elensa Jari"], nodding his head. "Two Jedi on the streets below. You can go for the Padawan, I'll take the Master." As he spoke, he twisted a silencer onto the end of his Tusken Cycler Rifle. His eyepiece would switch into Sniper Mode, and set Ms. Rade as the target. From the apartment's shadows, he aimed for the Jedi's chest. With the sights lined up, he fired three rounds at the lightsider's heart.

"I'm a Mandalorian, not a Jedi which means I'm sure that I can find a few bounty hunters whom would be more than happy to assist." If she couldn't find any Vode than Ana would resort to speaking to others. She was pretty confident in her ability to make others see things her way.

Ana knew the force was a thing and while it was useful at times it was always good to be able to fight with one's hands. She could show him that too.

Before they were able to get much further three slugs were shot at her directly. It was clear that whomever had shot them was not a novice. The first bounced off her armor causing her to stumble back slightly and leaving a considerable dent in it. The other two she was lucky to have moved enough that they too dented it but not so much as to make her stumble again. Had she not moved Ana would have had a hole in her armor. As it was now Ana was going to need to fix it. "You get cover, I'll deal with this." She nodded to Fletcher as she put on her helmet.

"I'm a Jedi." he said incredulously, his eyes lingering around the streets wearily. It was nearly impossible to feel safe on this moon, you always had to be on your guard or you'd probably be pick-pocketed, or worse.

The Padawan didn't leave, disobeying her again. Mainly because he didn't want to leave his master to fight, he saw himself braver than that. But also partly because he didn't want to be alone on Nar Shaddaa again. He slipped his lightsaber hilt into his hand but didn't ignite it until he saw immediate danger, besides it wasn't worth the risk of exposure yet.

Instead of changing tactics, the Knight merely adjusted his current one. He was disappointed that the projectiles didn't pierce the armor, but he could live with it. He shook his head with a frown. [member="Anastasia Rade"] had decided not to run. A grave mistake indeed. Unfortunately for her, she would not live to make a similar bad decision.

First, he slightly rotated his gun, now putting [member="Fletcher Lorcan"] in his sights. It seemed that Padawan had also made a terrible decision, not to ignite his weapon. Like his master, he would not have a chance to redeem himself. He fired off a couple rounds, aiming for the boy's abdomen. As soon as the shots were fired, he shot again at the woman. This time, they would be aimed for the armor guarding her lung area. Sure, they would only probably dent the armor. But in that specific place, it would make it rather quite hard for her to breath. She would have to either fight anaerobically, or go into combat without armor.
