The Vandal's Mask was designed specifically for Jax. A mold was made of his face, and the mold was sent to a supplier who former the design she sent with it based on Jax's face. The end result was the plasteel form for the front of the mask. In order to secure it to Jax, a coif of neutroweave was created and specially adhered to the mask, which allows him to wear it without it being easily ripped off. In addition, the neutroweave provides pretty good protection for the parts of his head which are not protected by the plasteel.
