The Valiant Order is effectively divided into three separate entities known as the Golden Echelon (military), Silver Echelon (science/engineering) and Top Iron (command). The heads of these entities are known as the Knight Commander, High Inquisitor, and High Marshal and each deal with different aspects of the Valiant Order. The Knight Commander deals with training of new recruits, ground force military tactics, and on-field battle oversight for the Golden Echelon. The High Inquisitor coordinates the scientists within the Order to focus on different sciences and breakthroughs depending on what is needed as well as oversee the factories producing the equipment needed to field troops within the Silver Echelon. The High Marshal is effectively the leader of the whole order, but primarily focuses on the Top Iron. Top Iron concerns itself with finding and taking contracts, fleet logistics, managing what ever civilian population the Order is responsible for, and they often get involved within the Echelons as they see fit.
Yet both Echelons are the Top Iron are governed by the Council of the Nine who took control as the Royal Family's regents when the last Emperor took his wife and vanished into the galaxy. The High Marshal, High Inquisitor, and Knight Commander sit on this council by default, and are elected by their respective bodies. Three nobles from the noble houses also sit on the council, representing their interests as they run small businesses to give the Order an extra income, and three civilian elected individuals also sit on the council to represent civilian needs.
