GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Media Title: The Unrelenting Sea
  • Format: Book
  • Distribution: Scattered (Jedi Temples/Enclaves)
  • Length: Medium (In conjunction with Holocrons)
  • Description: An addition to many holocrons of Force combat, The Unrelenting Sea is designed to provide an update and new way to approach the Force in combat for the Jedi, a Force form, if you will. Designed to understand that the Force is a constant, and pulling from that constant, the user can make many waves, some which can erode, some which can cause accretion. But is constant and a giver of life.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Author: Coren Starchaser, chapters written by other Sentinels with a focus in Force use
  • Publisher: The Tide of Light
  • Reception: The approach of the Unrelenting Sea may be seen as radical to many ‘classically’ trained Jedi, but can be seen as a worthwhile hydrospanner in their tool box for those who are more progressive in their approach to being a Jedi and combating darkness. If Sith have any opinion, it is currently unknown.

FORMAT INFORMATION

This book is written in several chapters, with a forward by Coren Starchaser himself, as well as notes an tips on how to approach the Unrelenting Sea and how this process works with Force powers and the alignment of the Jedi.

CONTENT INFORMATION

The Unrelenting Sea is a book designed to allow a Jedi to fall into the Force, and use the Force fully in combat without falling off the path of the Light. The ocean, on many worlds, is the source of life, where many worlds independently found their life source, evolving from species within the water, into a variety of species, and keeping worlds alive through being a source of food and oxygen. The Unrelenting Sea outlines and describes a Force form very similar to the sea itself.

The table of contents includes an Introduction, Purpose of the Unrelenting Sea, The Sea and the Light, Force Powers, Offense, Defense, Maintaining the Light.

The focus of the Sea is to layer the Force with several powers, being able to maintain Force Body, Battlemind, or Battle Meditation with powers including barrier, healing, and in extreme cases, Force Light. The goal is to allow a Jedi to change direction in the Force at a moments notice, entering the Force to use a more intensive power and layering in other powers to protect, repulse, or heal, as needed, as extra currents of the Force.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Unrelenting Sea is an approach of Coren Starchaser as he moves into a role as a Sage and Consular from being a Sentinel. His approach to the Force has always been different than what other Jedi have been able to do, but is no less useful. The creation and codification of the Force Form is designed to help Jedi become more capable in use of several Force powers at once, without losing power or momentum, allowing one to blend into another for all manner of effect.

Pretty nifty. Just one thing:

The focus of the Sea is to layer the Force with several powers, being able to maintain Force Body, Battlemind, or Battle Meditation with powers including barrier, healing, and in extreme cases, Force Light. The goal is to allow a Jedi to change direction in the Force at a moments notice, entering the Force to use a more intensive power and layering in other powers to protect, repulse, or heal, as needed, as extra currents of the Force.

Please provide links to the aforementioned force abilities.
