What is the Underworld?
The Underworld is not a faction, not in a the traditional sense. Instead of being a unified being brought together by a single cause the Underworld is instead a collection of individuals, groups, and gangs narrowly avoiding being destroyed by sometimes coming together and protecting one another. The Underworld itself is split into dozens if not hundreds of different factions like The Pirate Fleet, Black Sun, The Bounty Hunters Guild, and many others. The only Rule of Law within The Underworld is set by something known as “The Conclave”. The Conclave is a gathering of powerful underworld individuals. These individuals set rules and regulations that criminals within their domain must follow at all times. Although most criminals do follow these laws some ignore them completely as Criminals tend to do. These few are looked upon as outcasts and are offers no protection from The Conclaves many forces. The Underworld as said before is not an army or a single faction, it is a group that only helps one another when pressed too far by the Empire or the Republic. Unfortunately when gathered together the Underworld is always a mire of backstabbing and betrayal. This under handed nature of course sometimes plays to their advantage due to the unpredictable nature of the Underworlds forces.

What are the Underworld Ranks?
The Underworld unlike many of the other factions has no set rank, for the entire underworld there is only two ranks that strictly hold to all of the subfactions, these ranks are simple:

UnderBoss:
Other than these two rank the Underworld relies on each subfaction to have their own ranking system within itself. These ranks are decided entirely by the subfaction and can be almost anything. An example of this would be the following ranking system.

How do I become A Conclave member Or Underboss?
Becoming a Conclave member or Underboss is rather simple. There are two ways to become part of the Conclave, the first is to become a leader of one of the many subfactions within the Underworld. Most members of the Conclave achieve their rise to power this way. The downside to this method is it takes time, money, and many dead men in order to reach the position this way, Those on the conclave that rose through the ranks of their own powerful organization are much harder to depose than the others, this is because simply killing them would probably dangerously enrage not only their own faction, but probably the other Conclave members as well. The other way to become a Conclave member is much simple, but also much more dangerous. Each Conclave member is allowed to appoint an “Underboss”. These Underbosses are usually independent criminals with small operations supported by one of the greater Conclave members. This gives a chance for the regular time criminals to have a voice within the Conclave. More often than not however the Conclave members use the position of Underboss to control and manipulate rather than actually have them doing anything. An underboss may later rise to the Position of Full Conclave Member if their own power base grows great enough to warrant the others from giving the title.

How do I make an Underworld Subfaction?
Adding a faction into The Underworld is quite simple and thus this shall be a short section. In order to create a new Subfaction within the Underworld three things are required.
1.You must have at least 2 full time members that will roleplay within the faction.
2.You must have a Name does not contradict with other names Already on the board. Nor must your faction be the same thing as one that already exists.
3.You must have a sufficient rank structure explained and set out as the example above.
Once you have these three things you may come to the current leader(OOC Leader mind you) of the Underworld and your faction will be approved, if it makes sense of course.
