DESCRIPTION
The Underground had always traditionally relied on the initial formation of loosely connected resistance cells that spanned across the entire galaxy. However the events of Demonsgate forged a stepping stone in the Underground’s re-formation as well as allowing the leadership of the Underground turn these sporadic soldiers into an impressively armed and trained galaxy-spanning infantry.
Under the directive of Underground Leadership the USF became the largest asset available to the resistance group, their numbers heavily bolstered by refugees and freedom fighters from both the Sith occupied Core Worlds and the besieged Kathol Rift. To put a distinct statistic on the ethnic backgrounds or indeed the gender ratio of the Underground would be an impossible task, in fact it may even be the case that the logistical number crunchers of the Underground itself would have no real indication on exactly how many soldiers have signed up to the cause.
The Underground Special Forces is currently underneath the directive of Commander Rae Ozzel, a Corellian born ex-police officer who has given her life to the Underground in the search for justice. While it has been impossible for Commander Ozzel to train each and every soldier within the Underground she has been instrumental in the organisation and adaptability of the force.
The USF works as a guerrilla military. Based highly around quick raids and pin-point assaults. While heavy in number to the workings of the Underground, they do not hold the resources or ranks to openly oppose more structured factions on the open field of battle. It is to this end that each soldier within the Underground is trained in multiple fields so they are capable of filling the voids left by casualties within the theatre of operations.
